Rumors of Dahl to the Rams...and Matt Moore to Miami
|
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Willis McGahee signed with Denver, 3 years for $7.5m.
Good backup/3DRB behind Moreno. |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
mcgahee was basically the goalline option for the ravens this past year. personally i think he is washed up but that contract isnt that bad . . glad we didnt get him. i like that shanny is trying to do what he does, get a bunch of young unknonw runningbacks that fit his system.
i know this question has probably been answered but . . when does carlos rogers, andre carter etc get to sign with other teams? |

So Orton stays in Denver? |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Michael Jenkins and Jamaal Anderson cut by Atlanta. Wow what a bust Anderson turned out to be. A lot of people around here wanted the Skins to draft him a few years ago...
I would love it if Nnamdi resigns with the Raiders, supposedly they are still interested.
do you think he'll go back there? i just don't think he's worth 12- 13 mil per year and it looks like a lot of teams feel the same way. i would say he's worth 8 mil but no more than that. |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Something tells me Nnamdi's interest in Dallas isn't sincere
A hunch? Dallas is sure going through some hoops though.
Cowboys | Nnamdi Asomugha in sights Fri, 29 Jul 2011 09:44:51 -0700 The Dallas Cowboys are reworking contracts to open salary cap room so they can make a strong push to sign free-agent CB Nnamdi Asomugha (Raiders). To make the necessary room to add him, the team would also release CB Terence Newman. Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Good pick up by Atlanta.
"ProFootballFocus.com Falcons sign Ray Edwards to a 5 year deal. It made so much sense it just had to happen, even if they were coy about it" That's going to be a heckuva pass rush with Edwards and Abraham. |

Nice...I hope they release Newman and still miss out on Nnamdi. Their secondary is atrocious as it is...but losing Newman would be bad. Maybe Carlos can get his wishes and go there. |

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
So Orton stays in Denver?
The hold up with a trade with Broncos wasn't the compensation. Seems like the Broncos were content with a 3rd round pick and a player, the issue was the bonus money Orton wanted. Which, I don't recall the exact number, I don't think was all that much. So...I would have to think the Redskins would inquire...wouldn't they? As for Nnamdi not going to Dallas, it's just a hunch. |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
I don't think the Orton to Miami is a dead deal.
Matt Moore, seriously? Also, they only signed Moore for 2 years, not a commitment to a QB they think is the answer. |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Lets start back up the chants, get shanny to call his buddy elway, and get this thing done.
''ORTON, ORTON, ORTON!!!!!" Oh yeah, whoever is running the orton bandwagon sig, put my name on it. Ive been on the orton bandwagon for a while now. 3rd rounder? shit, give em a 3rd and the 6th we got for DM5, considering who the hell we have behind our center............... We have the cap room and the connections are definitely there, just saying......... |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Moore is going to surprise a lot of people if he's healthy and gets a fair shot

Titans reach agreement with QB Jake Locker on a four-year deal worth over $12 million. Rookie holdouts becoming irrelevant under new system. |

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
I don't think Cromartie is that much behind NA as far as talent
|

^ Agreed, I'd rather have Cromartie at a discount.

Also, I don't know how/if it's going to impact negotiations, but Asomugha and Cromartie have the same agent...and they're in contention for the same spot on the Jets.

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
I don't think Cromartie is that much behind NA as far as talent
I apparently missed something on Cromartie because his coverage numbers two out of the last three years have been very good. But I've always felt he looked horrible out there. Lots of talent and no clue how to use it.
It's probably just because he's not good at pressing, and that's what hes doing when he starts on screen over a television feed. He usually just gets chucked out of the play in his first two steps. Cromartie might actually be good, I don't know. I'm still skeptical. |

Edwards and Jones are still out there. Like what the Rams have done and should be competitive in the NFC West. I see them as the contender right now, since they are the most stable at QB and have just about every other piece in place. |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
TJ Housh is expected to be released and available too.
Randel El needs a new home. |

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency-Part 2
Mystery team possibilities?
Raiders re-sign? Redskins! Buccaneers have the most to spend of anyone. 49ers not really out? PATRIOTS? Please no. Or, is Nnamdi's agent trying to drive up the price and urgency? |
