Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
Only two of those you mentioned have any trade value, Ryan and Trent and that value is sinking by the day.
I agree. But it doesn’t matter because BA is still making the GM decisions. He doesn’t believe the team has any problems that a new coach or one or two new players won’t fix. TW will not be traded. The team will not go through any soul-searching or introspection, regardless of its record this season. Nothing will change except for the substitution of a new name as HC. A good analogy would be to continually change the band conductor of the TITANIC. The name may change, the tunes may be altered but the result is ALWAYS be the same. Trent Williams holding out for new deal
My prediction is that Trent WILL NOT be traded by the cutoff date this 2019 season. Bruce Allen will continue to prove he is the NFL’s worst GM, by “winning” this disagreement with the team’s star player.
The RedskinsOL will continue to be one if the worst in the NFL and suck for this season, as stop gap players such as Penn and Flowers, and draft failure Morgan Moses show they can neither block well enough to run nor pass protect. Scherff will be held hostage next season (a la Kirk Cousins) and the team will use their number 1 draft pick in 2020 to TRADE DOWN, gaining a few more picks. But the team’s OL needs outstrip it’s draft picks. TW will never come back to the Redskins, even if he loses this season AND the next . The team will not gain a number one draft pick, that trading him will garner. Losing this high draft pick means his replacement probably won’t come from the draft. Meanwhile, Haskins potential as a possible franchise QB will be stunted because the OL has such a dearth of talent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
I honestly hope TW sticks it to BA and DS. This shit has to hit rock bottom before we start back up imo. I am on the Meks bandwagon burn it down.
1-11 last 12 games, how much further is rock bottom? |
Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
The trade deadline is 3 weeks away. I think something will happen this year, probably a trade. I doubt Trent wants to give up about 10 million more this year. Neither the Redskins or Trent gain anything by sitting out the season.
The Redskins could settle for several high picks. And there will be teams willing to offer them. |

He has received calls from other teams but has politely turned them ALL down. Until BA is fired or overridden by Snyder I see no resolution to this impasse. TW will not play, the GM will not even field a trade offer. Perhaps the new HC will convince BA and/or Snyder that they need the high draft pick they will get by trading TW. I see this impasse going on into next year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great question. No season ticket waiting list, no sellouts, no fans showing up to games. It has to be soon right? At least when Irsay did this to Baltimore he intended to move the team to a new city. When the bucs and saints went through it they were expansion teams. |

I agree. So, instead of getting a 1st rounder to replace TW on the OL, Bruce Allen “shows him” and keeps him in the team, doing nothing. This is why Bruce Allen is, by far, the NFL’s worst GM! Penn, who is TW’s replacement, is wearing down. Then it really starts to get ugly because the backup to Penn is NOT PRIME-Time ready. Our OL is a disaster and getting worse. TW will never play here again. Scherff will move elsewhere next year unless we franchise tag him (how’d that worked out for Kirk Cousins?). Trade TW NOW. But will it happen? NOT. Watching NE last night can't help but think how much better they could be with Trent at LT. Make a fucking deal Bruce.

KC needs him more, they haven’t been playing as well lately and Mahomes has been getting hit. I think KC needs him more. |

Re: Trent Williams holding out for new deal
All BA has to do is pull his head out of his azz or be fired. Other hi- money players must also be traded for whatever we can get: Richardson, Norman,
