Re: 2011 NFL Draft
If we take Ponder at 10, it would be as bad as DHB for Oakland

Well, at least the lack of free agency is f'ing up everyone's draft. But yeah it'd be pretty bad. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft
[quote=SBXVII;796381]Yeah, is it wrong for me to all of a sudden not like Kaepernick? I was rooting for the team to pick either Dalton, Ponder, or Kaepernick but since the Raiders are interested in Kaepernick it tells me he's not worth it. All they do is take the fastest player, or freak. In this case I'm sure it's because he's 6ft 6. but everyone they choose usually ends up being a dud.

But, they have built a decent roster otherwise, e.g. they drafted Heyward-bey in the 1st but got Louis Murphy in the 4th I think. the latter has made an impact. |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft
My ideal draft today would be to trade back, get Cam Jordan then use the extra pick gained in the trade back to trade up and take Dalton. Wheelin and dealin.

Sorry but I just see Chad Pennington all over again |

Taking Ponder at 10 would be a mistake but not as big a mistake as DHB. |

I like this as well, but I think NE might would jump up to take Jordan. It's a huge gamble. Jordan with the first pick. Ponder with the second. (or move up to end of first) |

Just as I read your post I see this tweet from Mort

No and I never will! |
Re: 2011 NFL Draft
Interesting mock draft (podcast) by the NFP guys. They have us trading with St. Louis, picking Cameron Jordan at #14 and picking up a 3rd rounder.

A lot of people like the Dalton kid. I never trust a ginger, myself. |
