The Brunell Thread (Merge)
Seriously guys, I am really pissed off. I know he is our best chance of making the playoffs, and I would stick with Brunell but he is playing awful.
He only looks at Moss. It is really bad, if you look at Brunell, he only looks at MOss, and throws it to him, even in triple coverage. I made a post earlier this week, saying I dont want Moss to play, bc this way it forces him to mix it up. If Moss is in, he only looks at him, therefore increasing our chance of losing. Looks like I was right. I am beyond pissed at our team, we dont even have a fucking pulse. |
Re: Brunell only looks at Moss
you're wrong. he looks at Moss 2nd. he looks at Betts first.
|
Re: Brunell only looks at Moss
I don't think where he looks is the problem, he has hit Cooley and Lloyd. We have no downfield attack, and Saunders appears to be giving up on even trying to make something happen downfield with this super conservative playcalling.

Re: Brunell only looks at Moss
Oh yeah I forgot, Brunell is sleeping with Betts now.

Re: Brunell only looks at Moss
Put it in the hole b4 half

That's the stuff!

under pressure Brunell only looks at Betts, he doesn't have the reflexes to look at who the blitzer just left unprotected downfield. |
Re: Brunell only looks at Moss
To be fair alot of the pressure today has been right in his face before he can even set up, and like what Goose was saying it sounds like the WRs aren't doing much to help out by working back to the ball.

Re: Brunell only looks at Moss
Even when Brunell has time he sucks it up. I'll admit hes had some pressure RIGHT in his face, and you cant blame him a whole bunch for that. However, he's had time and just not made throws. We're not making the playoffs -- time to accept it and move on.

I agree. The conservative playcalling is out of fukcing control. Running it for the 3rd time on a 3rd and 22? give me a damn break. |
Re: Brunell only looks at Moss
yeah the receivers would have to sprint 10 yds back, to the sideline, and grow about 10" in height to help Brunell out.

How will Gibbs characterize Brunell's play vs. the Eagles?
what do you expect to hear during the Press Conference?
"fought his guts out"? |
Re: How will Gibbs characterize Brunell's play vs. the Eagles?
gibbs will bench brunell for next week i think. he has to at this point...i hope.
12/27 130 yards, int for td |
Re: How will Gibbs characterize Brunell's play vs. the Eagles?
"mark is a real tough guy, a real vet-tren"
"the guys kept on fighting, and stuck in their, and that is true about the team" "it was the refs fault, i am gonna send in some tape" |
Re: How will Gibbs characterize Brunell's play vs. the Eagles?
time to make the change and get ready for next year
