How do you like the Colts chances?
That was an impressive, rugged football game the Colts played this afternoon. Who thinks they have a chance to go all the way this time and be this year's version of last year's Steelers?

Re: How do you like that Colts chances?
I'm hoping for a Saints/Colts Super Bowl. The Colts last drive was impressive. However, the Ravens last play was just terrible. McNair just let the guy bitch slap the ball out of his hand.

Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
I'm still hoping for a Chargers-Saints Superbowl. If the Colts or Pats end up winning the AFC that's gonna suck because they will get so much media hype it will be ridiculous.

The Steelers were a #6 seed and had all games on the road, so that will be tough to duplicate. However, the Colts not coming in as the favorite with a much maligned defense has seemed to fire them up. Seems like the last two years, they came in as the favorite and just waited for Manning to light up 35 points. When it didn't happen they panicked. They played a very sound game against a very tough Ravens defense. Vinitieri is also a huge addition for them. Knowing you can get 3 every time you make it to the 30-35 yard line is huge as points can be at a premium sometimes in the playoffs. |

They probably would've gotten to the Super Bowl last year if they had him then. |
Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
The Colts Defense is looking pretty good this week. If the D continues to play good I dont see anyone really standing in the way. But there is always the one thing that has stopped them is New England. But if they have to play N.E. it will be in the dome.

Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
They've survived two bad games from Manning. If he can get it together for the championship game - and that's a big if given his track record - they will be formidable.
How about if we have a Pats/Colts AFC championship. How crazy would that be? In Indy. Talk about media hype. |

The sooner the better, I say. I'll be very suprised if San Diego doesn't take care of business tomorrow, if they win, I think they might bring the Colts run to an end, if the Pats somehow beat the Chargers I think the Colts stand a very good chance of getting to the Super Bowl. |

Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
if the pats beat the lightning bolts tommorow, and the afc championship is in indy, the colts will beat the hell out of the pats.if they have to go to san diego, then they'll get it handed to them.jamal lewis is'nt LT,i can't see the colts stopping them like they did the ravens tonight.if they can hold LT incheck, and force rivers to beat them, they have a great chance of winning.

Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
All of a sudden they're playing D, playing physical, and winning with Manning having very non-Manning like games.
They are definitely a dangerous team right now. |
Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
The Colts have stopped LJ and Lewis, neither one of those guys is LT, but who thought they woulda been able to stop LJ or Lewis? In addition, Sean Taylor needs to start watching tapes of Bob Sanders, and start playing like he plays. That guy is tiny, but he is a force to be reckoned with, it's amazing how much of a difference that guy makes.

Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
I just want Belichick, Tom Brady, and the Patriots out of it. I'm sick of them.
I'd love to see the Bolts and the Saints in the big game. To see two teams that have never been there, and explosive offenses should make it a great game. I'm also rooting for Marty. He's put in his time, he's due. |
Re: How do you like the Colts chances?
I don't like the Colts' chances to go all the way. These last two weeks, their defense has been playing so far above their regular season production that it can't even be the same 11 guys.
Peyton is finally getting some help from his D, which is one of the things that needed to happen for that team to make a deep run. However, as well as that D has played, it was the Chiefs and the Ravens who they played, and the Chargers and the Pats will both be harder to stop. The Colts would beat the Patriots because of HFA, Peyton would tear up that D. But if they have to play San Diego on the road, it's not a game that I think the Colts can win. They could beat either NFC team in the Super Bowl (the Seahawks arent a contender), but I'd pick the NFC team against either the Pats or the Colts. |
