[B]Briggs not in Seattle's plans[/B]
[I]<Mar. 22>[/I] The Seahawks are not trying to acquire Briggs, despite agent Drew Rosenhaus' claim that Seattle is among a handful of teams interested in trading for the disgruntled Bears linebacker, reports the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.
On Tuesday's "Best Damn Sports Show Period," Rosenhaus said the Seahawks, 49ers and [B]Redskins[/B] have expressed interest in his client. Seahawks team president Tim Ruskell responded to the report by saying, "There's no truth to that whatsoever." Briggs, who was franchised by the Bears before he hit free agency, has voiced his displeasure about not being able to test the market.

I don't know if it was in that same interview or later, but it was later clarified that they have expressed interest but that was primarily before they signed Fletcher

I guess this is just another case of floating the idea that the Skins are interested so someone better pay up quick before Redskin1 lands.

I can't think of many teams that aren't interested in Briggs.

That said, Rosenhaus has a great relationship with the skins and Daniel Snyder.

With the addition of Fletcher this is extremely unlikely, and uneccessary.

tru we dont need briggs but he is better than any of our OLB's

with mcintosh a backup at the outside spots and marshall a backup in the middle

im not advocating us to acquire him but he would improve our team
