Re: A moment of silence...
wow... did that just hit you, or have you been waiting for a famous enough mime to pass... lol

Re: A moment of silence...

|
Re: A moment of silence...
RIP.
But when a mime dies, should it be "A moment of sound" |
Re: A moment of silence...

Re: A moment of silence...
I knew someone should have made air holes on that glass box.

Re: A moment of silence...
That dewd was around forever. I remember watching him in the mid 1960's when I was a small lad.
RIP |
Re: A moment of silence...
i thought he was like 375 years old. i agree with sbf, seemed like he was around forever
|
Re: A moment of silence...
The flowers at the funeral consisted of mums....He apparently passed away quietly.....No one had a thing to say about him at his memorial.....Ok, I'll stop now.

He was 84, and he looked like death for the at least 10 of his final years, may he rest in peace. I am actually suprised he was so old, that means he was around 60 when I saw him back in the early 80's. I guess it's hard to see age when your face is painted white. To me, he is without a doubt the best mime that ever lived. |

LOL...nope. Most people have a waste of an existance, but he made people smile and entertained people, which to me doesn't make it a waste. Most people do whatever it takes to make money, whether that's digging ditches, or being Dilbert (work in cubicles doing monotonous, meaningless work), at least the mimes try to entertain. |
Re: A moment of silence...
Wait a minute, what about guys like Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Harold Lloyd. Were they not mimes also? Mime is just acting with gestures and facial expressions. Those three did it as well as anyone

It's just so far outside what I personally consider a career. But then again, I'm from the land of the Amish, we're pretty plain folk out here. And I think Chaplin and other silent movie type figures are a different category. They didn't have an alternative because of technological limits. |
Re: A moment of silence...
Nice guy, never said much.
