2011 NFL Free Agency Thread
We've got the Redskins FA thread
http://www.thewarpath.net/redskins-locker-room/42856-2011-redskins-free-agent-rumors-reports.html Thought we could start a fresh one on overall NFL free agency (I locked the previous one as it was getting pretty long) Latest reports are that free agency is expected to start Monday July 25. Now I've mentioned before here (at least I think I have) that teams will have 3 days to sign their own guys before they go out on the market. So I'm not sure if July 25 is after that or if that's the start of the 3 day window |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread
Still nine more days?

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread
Well, it could technically "officially" end today, but real action probably wouldn't start for another week

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread
If I were a GM, I would have hired private detectives to check up on the physical conditioning of potential free agents and to check and see what their daily routines are like starting about 1 July.
What I would not want to do is to sign free agents who show up for a shortened training camp needing a couple of weeks to get into sufficient physical condition to prepare for the season. I know players have had self-directed workout sessions. I would want to know what those free agents have been doing to come to work in top shape in addition to those kinds of workouts. |

Isn't Talib facing a pretty serious weapons charge? I'd be surprised if he's not suspended for a while. He's a bad apple. |

I heard his trial isn't until late 2011, and as far as I know he hasn't been in alot of Big trouble so I'd be shocked if he was suspended.. Pac Man has been arrested 15 times since his rookie year for an example |

This is funny in the Dallas section they already are referring to Cullen Jenkins as a Washington Redskin |
Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread
Josh Wilson from the Ravens is another guy we should give a look at CB.

Lack of conditioning will contribute to an assortment of injuries. Too much work has to be done in a short period of time to expect business as usual. |

Re: 2011 NFL Free Agency Thread
I kind of like that there will be such a tight window from FA signings to preseason to regular season. Its better than signing someone March 1 and waiting until early August for them to actually play.
