The annual NFL coaching/gm carousel

With 4 weeks left, that nfl’s coaching hot seat is hot; especially since Bears, Saints and Jets already fired their coaches.

Hopefully, we aren’t looking for a coach for a long time.

Jaguars and Raiders seems like locks to fire their coaches.

The Giants should clean house but their owner already said, he doesn’t foreseee a change. That would be great for us but misery for Giants.

Boy’s McCarthy contract is up but Jerry might bring him back, after all.

If the Eagles don’t go deep into playoffs, could see Sirianni get the boot. I don’t think there will be any surprises but I think if they don’t perform well in 25; you could see Bengals, Dolphins and Browns make a change.

I don't think Raiders will fire Pierce yet, from what I have read, it seems like the Raiders players still believe in him.

I hope Cowboys will resign McCarthy.

Firings should occur soon. Most interested to see what Vegas and Dallas does. I kind of think Pierce may get another year despite their horrible record. Jerry may be too complacent, old and comfortable to fire McCarthy if they end the season decently. He may not want to put the effort in to getting a new coach at his age. Seriously believe this.

That’s exactly my point

now that we have a competent front office, its even more fun to watch when rivals are dysfunctional. The cowboys will continue to not get it done as long as the jerrah is in their most pivotal role of gm. I know im preaching to the choir here, but as long as the gm meddles in the coaching and day to day ops, a franchise is destined to be in the hell that we have been for oh so long.
Jerry Jones is fucking clown shoes. No matter who the coach and staff is, they will continue to be exactly what they are.

They know how power hungry and domineering he is and won't want to deal with it and being in the spotlight all the time. McCarthy fits what Jones seeks quite well. It'll be interesting to see if he fires him after this year. Last night was a very winnable game for Dallas.

100%
But there will always be someone who thinks they can change it. New coaches, or re-treads. I mean, we've seen how this plays out long term. I love that its happening to them and not to us anymore. I dont think itll ever get as abysmal as it was in washington, but i dont think with jerry jones taking the lead on everything that they will ever have any kind of consistent winning.

He's already sounded off on McCarthy. Jerry really doesn't have hardly anywhere to turn with this team now other than a new coach/regime which would be a rebuild. Not sure he has the patience for this though, especially with his age.

Vegas has an interesting group of coaches.
https://www.raiders.com/team/coaches-roster/
A lot of Redskins history and nepotism on that staff
I hope AP stays and gets a QB. They are a poor mans Detroit.

McCarthy... I don't think he stays but let's pray he does.
His staff is full of retreads. Let's keep it that way. Brian Schottenheimer as OC, WOW! How many chances does that bum get?

I know there are only 32 NFL HC jobs, but there will certainly be more attractive ones this offseason.

It's Dallas, yes they will.
They won't rebuild.

Here is the thing about Dallas, players and coaches get overhyped and they cash in on that. Coaches are royalty out there. Mediocre players make probowls with Dallas constant media coverage.

Here is the thing about coaches, we all assume the next one will be the great one but in reality, they are looking at it like a job at a premier location with premier visibility.
Looking at last years hires, who turns down Dallas simply because of the shit show they are?
Harbaugh and MacDonald maybe because they had better landing spots and had a good situation if they wanted to wait a year.

Brian Callahan: Tennessee Titans
Dave Canales: Carolina Panthers
Jim Harbaugh: Los Angeles Chargers
Mike Macdonald: Seattle Seahawks
Jerod Mayo: New England Patriots
Raheem Morris: Atlanta Falcons
Antonio Pierce: Las Vegas Raiders
Dan Quinn: Washington Commanders

The good news is Elite talent isn't going to go there.
Leave them with the Rex Ryans of the world.

If the Raiders are in a position to draft one of the Top QBs; they will want an offensive coach to develop that QB. Tom Brady will have a say now, since he’s a minority owner. Davis will listen to whatever he tells him.

Still think he likely gets fired as their record sucks but wouldn't be shocked if he's retained. They really wanted Daniels this past draft. Wisely we denied the request.

Davis is an idiot; which is why I said he’ll ask Tom. Tom what should I do? Well, Marc you should do this. Marc Davis is a dumb enough owner to do that.
