In a perfect world, I'd love to have Reggie Wayne. Other than that, I'd go after cheap, young depth at OL & DL.

Re: Total potiental NFL free agents (now who do u want)
i would like to see Adam Vinatieri, but i know that New England will either franchise him or give him a long term deal. There are some good #2 receivers on that list. I do believe we need a good pass rusher, some offensive line depth, or some secondary depth.

Re: Total potiental NFL free agents (now who do u want)
Randle El is my first option as WR.
|
Re: Total potiental NFL free agents (now who do u want)
DE John Abraham - Wouldn't pay al ot of $ though, injury history
WR Kelley Washington - great potential WR Peerless Price - Has a history of being a great #2 WR WR Koren Robinson - Would be a good #2 WR and return threat CB Andre' Goodman - REALLY need to replace a horrible Harris and move an aging Springs to the Nickel package. They need to scout OLs and CBs. Can't believe the only backup yesterday for a 43yoa guard was a backup center. Also really need to think about replacing Harris and moving Sprins to the nickel package and bring in a few CBs a little younger. The Scout Team really needs to come through this offseason. |

I would love Antwaan but the thing is he is short. I know the return of the smurfs or what ever but i want a redzone threat outside of sellers and cooley. Antwaan will also take $$ and if we are gonna spend the dollars i would want Joe Jurevicius. He has 8 years of expierence and would be so perfect next to moss it wouldn't be funny. as a third leave my man patten and i think two small fast guys next to a tall possession receiver would be great. How much will Jurevicius go for? Does anyone have an idea. If he would leave seattle i would absolutly love him on this team. Great character and great player. If he comes at a decent price he may be my number one favorite FA this year. Reggie wayne will be asking for huge money. I WANT JUREVICIUS!!!! |
Re: Total potiental NFL free agents (now who do u want)
If I remember correctly, Joe Jurevicius was going to retire after last year, but the Seattle front office lured him into playing up there for one more year. I'd be very suprised if he plays anywhere but in Seattle next year.

And at the price of abraham i would take Kyle Vanden bosch I like Kelley Washington. nice and tall. He would come cheep so great idea. Peerless price was turned down by us earlier this year and i wanted him then but if gibbs had no interest in him i don't know what could change his mind. We do need to look into CBs because of the injuries we faced this year and Springs almost being done. |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
Not to sound like an idiot, but what about Kalu as a pass rusher? Didn't we have him before and he played well?
|
Re: Total potiental NFL free agents (now who do u want)
I think if I remember correctly the reason why he was going to retire was b/c of his son that past away. But I believe his wife is from Seattle area and her family is there. Don't think he will leave b/c of that.

People in philly have been giving him the heat this year. They are just mad they suck though. He didn't play the year before this one but was a solid player with philly after he left. |

Yeah his son dying did hit him hard. I didn't think he would exactly leave Seattle anyways. I hope he does explore other options but he is in a good place in seattle. I still would love him on this team. |

Antwaan Randle El
Brandon Lloyd Keenan McCardell Koren Robinson Reggie Wayne randle el and robinson would help on punt returns also |

I don't know if we could match up $$$ for him, but I think he would make a great pass rush specialist. As I recall he was very quick off the ball and had a good nose for the QB. |

more on Kalu. He said this in the Inquirer about being cut "I'm 30, and I have one sack," Kalu said. "... You have a star emerging at my position, and [Jerome] McDougle is going to come back strong. It just makes sense. If I were up there making the decisions, that's probably the same decision I would make. Hopefully, I'll go somewhere and do what [Derrick] Burgess did this year. I'll try to reinvent myself." |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
Wayne is by far the best of the WR FA's, but I doubt the Colts are going to let him get away.
Kelley Washington is an injury nightmare waiting to happen. Kevin Curtis is a FA next year. Now THERE is a guy we could use. The Rams will probably lock him up but if they don't, the guy is blazing fast, young, and has great hands. When Bruce went down he was on a tear. Other FA receivers I'd take a flyer on: Andre Davis (why did the Pats even sign him, he never plays, and he was on the verge of breaking out in Clevetown) Antonio Bryant (but he'll probably get resigned) Reche Caldwell (big and surehanded, was close to breaking out last year but injuries sidetracked him) Edell Shepherd (just kidding) Rod Gardner (REALLY kidding) Darnerian McCants (Okay, I'm wetting myself from laughing so hard...) |
Re: Total potiental NFL free agents (now who do u want)
the skins could go after nate clements from buffalo. i remember him being talked about last offseason. he would help sure up the cb position , plus he's played for greg williams

Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
Clements is hot dynamite on a platter in the kick return game, I might add.

Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
Here is another interesting site, though it kind of puts a damper on the free agent wish listing and makes it seem (on its face at least) that Lavar might not be back next year (probably my fault for buying two authentic Arrington jerseys...that is usually the kiss of death, same thing happened with Champ Bailey).

Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
I dont know if they'll let Clements go. He is a shutdown corner and probably one of the best in the league. He'll want a lot of money as well.
|
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
I say forget guys like Clements, Abraham, and other high-profile free agents. Why break the bank when we've got a great core roster? We were damn close to "the game." We need a few BACKUPS at wideout, tight-end, corner, oline, and dline (i.e. situational pass rusher). But, we don't need marquee players.
I would be surprised if we saw more than 2 new starters. I think Gibbs likes who we've got and so do I. |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
This is who I like to come to the skins~ I know we can't get all of them, but these names intrigue me:
QB:Seneca Wallace/Tim Hasselbeck RB:Jamal Lewis/Ahman Green G:Tom Nutten T:Bob Whitfield/ L.J. Shelton WR:Brandon Lloyd/Marc Boerigter(chiefs)/Keenan McCardell/Kevin Curtis/ Peerless Price Tim Dwight TE:Teyo Johnson/ Robert Royal/Christian Fauria (pats) DE:Kalimba Edwards (lions)/ Raheem Brock(colts)/John Abraham(jets)/ Kyle Vanden Bosch (Titans)/ Darren Howard (Saints) DT:Chris Hovan (Buccs)/Kendrick Clancy (Giants) LB:Cato June (Colts) CB: DeShea Townsend (Steelers)/Ade Jimoh/Nate Clements (Bills)/Brian Williams(Vikings) S: Adam Archuleta (Rams) Strong Safety/ or Resign Ryan Clark & Omar Stoutmire P:Tom Rouen (seahawks) K:Ryan Longwell (packers) |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
i'd love to trade samuels for someone who can actually play as well as their contract (maybe trade him for runyan?)... yeah yeah, there's no way we'd ever do anything like that, but i really wish he could be a great player instead of just a great talent.
WR - wayne (of course), or draft S moss, or reche caldwell, K curtis, JJ, givens, lloyd DE - mathis, bosch, KvO, kampman OL (G/T) - draft depth and bring in a capable spot starter through FO (bucs have two good guys but they'd probably want to start and good money) DT - hovan, tripplet, bernard CB - draft, clements, R manning TE - fauria, baker P/K/PR/KR - anyone that doesn't totally suck, please... vinetari, longwell, janikowski willie ponder, RW mcquarters, somebody I'd vote for reggie wayne if we can get him, if not, there's lots of #2s out there... reche is a capable #2 though he was injured this year... curtis is a guy that could do the job as well, as could joey J (who i doubt is leaving seattle), or givens. DE - mathis is the obvious choice (bosch and KvO are good high priced guys too), but kampman is probably the best value and may be set for a breakout year... howard wouldn't be a bad pickup either. At DT hovan or tripplet would be great guys to have, but if we got someone like benard (cheaper) as a #3 instead of going for a #1/#2, it'd leave us in a better cap situation, and we really don't need a new starter at DT as much as a guy to spell and cover (well) for injuries. TE - fauria, maybe chris baker (jets), but fauria would be a good pickup. K - vinetari (unlikely), longwell, janikowski, anyone without chronic hamstring problems and an ability to make FGs when called. Novak is a no go, he kicks low and had too many blocks in such a short stint here. CB - nate clements would be a great idea, though he might suffer from the champ bailey effect (tackles after the catch)... haven't seen him much, but he hasn't looked bad. R manning (panthers) would be a good pickup too. Springs is still our starter when not injuried, whoever said he should be moved to nickel is smoking... he's still much better than rogers at this point. for our #3 we should try to draft one so we have someone cheap and young since this CB market isn't very good. Make A brown a CB :P, he's fast, he's cheap, and he has no offensive production to his name. If we've got him hanging around, let's use him. OL - remember we need good backups not starters, but we obviouslt need at leat a guard and a tackle that can play better than what we saw raymer do. He was done last year and i honestly don't know why we even bothered keeping him on the roster, he's a turnstile. Maybe draft some really huge guys here and hope they fare better than the last we took. We need at least one FA or draftee here who we KNOW is capable of starting if needed though, that seattle game was pitiful... the 43 year old was a great guy to have cause he could still play, but he's gone now. LB - we need somebody if lavar is gone, holdman sucks (and isn't even good for depth). cato june might be nice, we need one starter and one quality backup though and i don't see any names that really stick out :/ P - anyone... frost has too many bad kicks to his good ones, though he is really fast for a punter. PR/KR - someone that can dodge gunners and is fast (brown has no hands, betts keeps diving into the nearest pile) |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
if i were GM - mocks vary greatly in where players will go, using averages:
WR - wayne + draft S Moss (3rd) - of offense needs the most help, this is the sureshot TE - fauria - comes from a two TE offense, upgrade over royal OL - best available for depth + draft (conditional 3rds, 4th-7th) - need a quality backup DE - kampman + draft tapp (2nd)- cheap and looks ready for a breakout year DT - bernard (seattle) - should be relatively cheap and can be a #2/#3 CB - draft (conditional 3rds, 4th-7th) - we need cheap and YOUNG here, posibly pickup R manning from the panthers if he's cheap LB - Cato June, J winborn - we need a starter and a quality backup lavar is probably gone, peterson is probably too expensive, june is a great pickup, next best is griesen... for a backup winborn (jags), mckinnon (though old), or N wayne are good ideas K - longwell seems like he might be available, we need a big name though P - I don't see anyone worth getting unless there's good draft prospects... hope tupa has another year or two until we can find someone promising. PR/KR - good specialist prospects are available in the draft and guys like ponder and mcquarters might be free... this is the easiest place to make an upgrade Resign: Ryan Clark (only expensive (non-minimum) FA we have) Demetric Evans Rock Cartwright Ethan Albright Omar Stoutmire Chris Clemons Khary Campbell Ade Jimoh Cedric Killings New starters at WR #2, TE #2, DE, nickel CB, LOLB and an OPEN competition at QB where JC wins if he's close. |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
what do you guys think about having Adam Archuleta (Rams) back in secondary starting with Sean Taylor?
|
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
Obviously Reggie Wayne would be ideal, but I imagine someone is going to have to pay through the nose for him.
I honestly think Eric Moulds gets a much worse rap than he deserves. That whole thing with Mularkey was blown way out of proportion was really Mularkey overreacting like a jackass than it was Moulds misbehaving. I am NOT one to defend immature, problem-child players in the least bit. My faith in the organization would be shaken to the core if we signed T.O. Moulds has 10 years experience, he's pretty good size (6-2, 210), has been pretty consistent in production (800-1300 yards per season throughout his career). He's no superstar, but he keeps his mouth shut for the most part and does his job. |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
Hey we could pick up Rod Gardner from Carolina.
 |
Re: Team-by-Team Potential NFL free agents
I'd go as far as to say that all we need are 3 offensive lineman. Cut Raymer, Friedman, and Ikechuku. Sign everybody else on our current roster (on offense) and add 3 linemen. Steve Hutchinson (Dockery as back-up), and two other stud back ups (one for Thomas and one for Jansen). You will find that the offense is plenty improved just from the better line. Patten will do. Thrash will do, even Jacobs would do.
On the D, Sign all the FAs such as Clark, Holdman, etc. if you have a healthy Lavar willing to re-sign, then we're set. If Lavar won't come back, then get a DE in free agency, and we're set. |
