Celebrity Face Recognition

This is damn addicting...

but perhaps not too accurate. I put in a few pictures of me. One said I look like a F1 Race Driver (forget his name, some Hungarian dude). Another says Julio Iglesias, another said Samuel L. Jackson. I put in a picture of Joe Gibbs said he looks like Nelson Mandela

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

the site's undergoing work but I'll definitely check it out. I've been told by some when I was bigger that I looked like Kevin Smith aka Silent Bob for those not in the know so I wonder what this thing is gonna say.

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

Ha! I'm Cary Grant, Jon Bon Jovi, and Kevin Costner.

Sigh...if only.

This is great. I got the one & only Chuck Norris!

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

I didn't match anyone in their database so I guess it couldn't find anyone who compared with my ruggishly good looks :biggthump

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

i put in a bunch of pics of celebs in their database and it didn't get a single one right (not the exact pics they use, but close ones). If there's ANY head tilt it royally screws the pooch and gets no matches at all. LONG way to go still :/

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

I put in a picture of Mark Brunell & it came back Ernest Borgnine.

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

I've put in a number of my own pictures and Greg Louganis is always in the choices.

I thought I was the Transporter. :(

On the flip side my fiance ALWAYS has Katie Holmes, Lindsay Lohan and Drew Barrymore in every pic she puts in.

lol - this is funny. I put in a picture of me and my son from when he's about 3 months old. It says I look like Julio Iglesias, and that he looks like Sheryl Crow!

onlydarksets 02-16-2006 02:41 PM

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

Oh - I also look like India Ghandi, George Clooney, and Beyonce.

Got a pic in another thread, she's a cutie with large "bre-assets" as someone here put it. I'll think on it. :)

There ya go.

That's a good idea for a thread. Or just in general, it would be cool to see what people REALLY look like anyway.

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

Suffice it to say that this thing does NOT work! I put a picture of Chuck Norris and here were my results:

1) George Peppard
2) Maurice Gibb
3) Shahrukh Khan
4) Dennis Quaid
5) Paul Dirac
6) Tim Allen
7) Alfred Hitchcock (WTF?!?!?)
8) Gary Oldman
9) Karl Popper
10) Albert Schweitzer

Wow... Dean Cain, Kevin Kline, Louis Pasteur and Saddam Hussein. LOL

Re: Celebrity Face Recognition

i put my face in and it said it doesn't match any results, so i guess there aren't any celebrities who look as devilishly handsome as i do.

Then i put a picture of Chris Simms in and it said he looked like Sam Neill.

I also put in a picture of Bill Parcells and it said he looked like William Randolph Hearst lolol.

I put in a picture of Lavar and it said he looked like Billy Bob Thornton lololol.

I think its just a random number generator hooked up to a picture database...

there is no actual computing, just a rabid monkey violently throwing switches.

lol - you're probably right. There doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to the results.

We noticed that if you put in a picture of where like part of your ear is cropped, they find pictures of people whose ears are cropped.

Are we referring to ourselves in the plural now, Malcolm?

Malcolm, I saw a picture of your lovely lady in this thread, and I can certainly certify that you aren't gay. But if you keep referring to your better half as fiance and not fiancee, you might begin to confuse people! lololol

You gotta love the French and their masculine/feminine noun tenses! LOL

I think the Forum Rules state there is a 3 day ban for speaking French. Sorry, Schneed.

It's REALLY fiancee?!? I always thought it was fiance with the little / thing over it. Wow, and normally I pride myself on having good grammar and spelling.

If it makes you feel any better, one of my friends punked me on the very same thing two years ago when I was getting married. I wrote a post in a fantasy baseball league about her and said fiance. I still haven't heard the end of it. I guess this was just my way of passing along the pain, since misery loves company!
