Re: Ramsey to the Jets
At least it's over. Best of luck to Patrick.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
I hope he goes on to have a nice career.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
I really hope he gets a shot so we can all find out if he is any good or not? I'm glad it's over.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
I think that Chad wont be ready and Ramsey will win the job. Hopefully his fire is still burning because this is a contract year for him.

Here is the link for you. I wish him well and hope he gets to be the starter. |
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Somewhere in New Jersey...
Laverneus Coles: "damn!" |
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
does this mean we have a 2nd rounder, a 5th, 3 6's, and a 7th???
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Best of luck to Pat. I think somewhere under those damaged goods there is a great quarterback waiting. A real class act since the day we drafted him.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
On St. Patricks Day!
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
I hope PR has a great career. My fear for him is that the Jets O Line may enable whoever is QB to take a Rodney King style beat down on a weekly basis.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Tthank goodness, good luck Pat.
On St. Patricks Day!
Haha yes, that is why it happened today. Best of luck to Patrick, he is a good kid and he tried hard and only wanted well for us. Good guy, maybe he will improve with the Jets, and they will tap into his potential somehow.... |
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
I know hindsight is 20/20, but wouldnt it have been nice to make this deal for a 3rd (I think) like they offered after Pennington went down? Oh well, we needed insurance so I guess we couldnt deal him mid-season. Too bad.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
I'm not an official member in the Ramsey fan club, but I really hope he does well. I always respected his behavior and attitude.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Wishing Ramsey the best. I hope he starts for them. :)

Re: Ramsey to the Jets

It's going to be a hard place for ramsey to succeed in, but hopefuly he has a good career ahead.

thanks. |
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Good luck Ramsey.
But geez o' flip skins? What's up with the Buy-High, Sell-Low concept? THat only works on wall street. Really, isn't he worth more than a 6th rounder, even if he doesn't start? |
Good luck Ramsey.

Really, isn't he worth more than a 6th rounder, even if he doesn't start?
My only reasonable explanation to this is that the redskins are planning or already trying to sign another free-agent and use that cap money for the signing bonus/salary. And they have to have that cap space right now. |

Re: Ramsey to the Jets
... the need for cap space may mean another fa signing real soon.

Well Ramsey was gone whether we needed cap space or not. This was a decision that was a long time a coming, my friend. |
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
salutations patrick. Hope you beat weak ass pennington for the starting job there.

Yup, agreed. Just a prediction that the cap space that was freed by his trade would be used in part to sign another free agent that may happen soon. |
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Changing the subject a little,(but not entirely) We now have 3, 6 round picks this year. Right? I guess we are looking for a diamond in the rough so to speak. I don't know that we really got anything for Ramsey. How many of our 6th round picks have made the team recently? Does anyone know?
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Best of luck to him........hope he gets a shot at the starting job there.
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
6th round pick...damn. oh well. cap space and he was in contract year :)
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
Hope we draft a placekicker with the pick!
|
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
I'm just glad we can finally put the Ramsey vs Brunell debates to rest. Good luck to him, I hope he does well in NY, he deserves it.
Sorry to see such a good guy leave, but we're better off. |
Re: Ramsey to the Jets
For some perspective....
Going back to 1961, here are the QBs the Skins have invested a first round pick in: 1961-Norm Snead (spent 3 yrs in DC, 52% comp%, 196 TDs, 257 Ints for career) 1994-Heath Shuler 2002-Patrick Ramsey 2005-Jason Campbell So far, three busts and one that has yet to take a snap. Not a great track record. |

I think this debate may still linger a little bit after he's gone, like Humphries when he left... oh wait that's before the internet was born. |

I wish Pat the best. Hopefully he will succeed in NY.
