Forum upgrade
 

I performed a forum upgrade tonight to get us to the latest version of vbulletin, the home page is down for now but I'll be working hard on getting everything back to normal in the coming days, plus working on adding some really cool new features.

If you notice anything unusual please post here letting me know.

the advanced post/editor thing is screwed in firefox (unlike the old version). the icons for smilies and menu options (like bold/italics, code/quote tags, size/color selection etc are borked.

as you can see it displays weirdly and nothing in the gray area is clickable at all, though basic text entry still works.

should be fixed now, I just have to edit alot of the default settings to what we had before

not fixed. it wont even let me use llinebreaks (enter, return, etc) anymore. so i get big blob test :(

in IE it works, in firefox its very very borked and the icons etc still don't work.
in IE i see a background image in the text entry area and its really annoying, cause it makes it hard to read what you're typing. if i use < br / > i can get breaks working...

Can you add some Blinking Text?
How about some Forced Audio?
Maybe a Sean Taylor .gif that sacks my curser?

I would have hoped by now they could make an upgrade that would ensure that my jokes are funny. So far, no luck.

the buttons in the advanced editor still aren't working in firefox :/

Also, the new 'home' link in the navigation bar on the homepage is not right. The host is localhost.

Since I've been on this site, I've been unable to use the copy-paste feature in Firefox. It works fine in IE.

The probelm is with a setting in Firefox but I can't figure out which of the 200 or so setting in about:config it might be.

Any idea?

Any idea?[/quote] copy-paste has always worked for me. after the upgrade the formatting (bold, links etc) didn't transfer though.

check it out. WE can jump to ANY page in a thread by typing in the number now. I really like that.

Thanks for the response.

I'll have to do some digging to figure out which setting needs to be changed.

I'm on firefox. The formatting icons look okay to me now.

I guess that you can only do that if you use IE and not firefox...

That_Guy, try clearing cache/refresh page using ctrl+F5 and let me know if that helps, it worked for me. A couple of the buttons still aren't showing but most of them now work at least.

I'll continue to look into this.
