Would someone please paraphrase the contents of this audio. I am too impatient to listen to it.

Re: Antonio Pierce Press Conf.

Basically they kept asking Antonio about LaVar and where or if he thought he would come to NY. Asked about him freelancing, about the rif with some coaches. He said LaVar loves NY and this could be a destination, but not really sure. About the freelancing, he said he didn't really do that, he was athletic that he tried to make plays, sometimes he made them, but when he got injured he couldn't make them like he was used to. He did say he saw him recently and he has dropped 15 or so lbs and looks like hes back to his original playing weight. (like I said would happen) He said you only really hear one side of the story on things like that, not to believe every thing you hear.

Re: Antonio Pierce Press Conf.

whether or not you drop to your playing weight is irrelevant. you have to play up to your old potential.

My point is this will bring back the quickness he lost with the weight gain, plus the explosive ness roaming the field. It is relevant when you are coming off a couple of surgeries and have gained weight. Any player that is over weight does not play to the maximum level of their ability.

I just have a question for the fan-atics on the board. Do any of you believe that Joe, GW, or........Al puts petty ego games above team? If so, why?

PWNED 03-21-2006 08:37 AM

Re: Antonio Pierce Press Conf.

well obviously joe did becasue he completely turned over all control to another o-coordinator. dont know al, but it seems like GW just keeps his in check (even though its obvious he has one) because he'll bench people that piss him off not just because they are the stars.

Hog1 03-21-2006 08:43 AM

Re: Antonio Pierce Press Conf.

so your sayng Joe has an ego problem and turned over control of the O to Al for that reason? -don't understand that? GW has a monster ego, and he practices benching anyone who piss's him off? What's the deal with being a star?

Re: Antonio Pierce Press Conf.

Where did all this turn bad? Somebody wanted to know what the radio show said and I gave a very brief interpretation. I dont know where all this turned into ego battling coaches. If Joe had an ego, would he completely turn over the team to AL and GW, I dont think so. Joe will do anything, bring anyone aboard to win.
this was a interview w/ Pierce about LaVar playing for the G-men, how the hell does it turn into what you people are bitching about.

GW DOES have a huge ego but he is also a team first guy in the fact that if you don't do what you're supposed to do, you get benched, ala Harris/Arrington.

Good One !I see it like this. Antonio knows that with Lavar they are a better defense. He's selling the fact that he wants Lavar there and that's most likely where he'll sign. I miss Lavar with the Skins, just like I miss A.P., as well as SmootyFlakes, hell I miss Dave Butz sometimes but the fact of the matter is they are gone. Pierce, Smoot, and Arrington are either with or will be with other teams. So I honestly say F-them, not the person but the jersey they wear! I met Lavar at a Stepshow and he was a cool guy. I was highly pissed when I read he was gone but he is. I respect their talent but they're not with my Skins so I'll boo them whenever they play Washington and only hope they win if it helps the Skins in some way. *The only pass was given to Monk* Lavar will play with the Giants next year most likely, maybe they will teach him how to blitz and maybe he'll listen and learn. You put someone in front of Lavar and his pursuit is stopped plain and simple. We all know it, I wish he still played here but he opted to leave to start fresh. Later Liver !!!! It was fun. I've retired his jersey to The Man Cave wall along with Champ, Deion, and Monk and he's not on my Madden 06 squad anymore. It's like a chick, let it go and find a new one. She'll be just as good. Maybe better if you coach her right and she listens.
