Casserly Gone from Texans
Is Casserly the fall guy or did he put this team in the position it is in the bottom of the barrell in the NFL? Passing on Bush must have been the final straw.

Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Fall guy. Bush won't ever be anything except slightly above average.
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Maybe Bush wont pan out, but Mario Williams? should have never wasted the #1 on him, they should have traded down if they didnt want Bush. Then again who doesnt love some nice bush?
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
I definitely agree there. I wouldn't have taken him #1. I would have traded that pick to the Jets, gotten D'Brick and enjoyed that nice 2nd or 3rd rounder they would have gotten from the Jets.

Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
I thought there was some talk of him stepping down prior to the draft.
I don't think this is a result of what happened in the draft. |
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Right, well it shouldn't be because I wouldn't think he was the end-all say of who they took int he draft.
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Casserly was fired because he is a terrible GM. He was bad here and was horrible with Texans. Part of the reason why the Texans suck is because thye have no talent. They have no talent cause Casserly's draft picks and free agent pickups have been horrible.

Can't wait for the Skins to get a taste of Bush! |
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Wait 'til they get a load of me.
The Skins are going to eat him alive just like they did EVERY rookie running back the past two years. |
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Just ask that punk ass JJ Arrington about the Grimm Reaper!
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
JJ layed on his back quicker than when BSB meets girls for the first time.
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
I also don't remember Mr. Cadillac ripping off ANY big runs against us. I just remember Big Joe stuffing him, then lifting his leg as though he were a huge dog and peeing on him.
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Casserly didn't draft Williams. Kubiak did. Casserly was reportedly a huge Bush fan and wanted him. This was in the works since before the draft.
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Casserly was gonna resign before the draft...it had nothing to do with it

Nothing like a mouthfull of bush. |
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Zing. Even though I prefer razor-maintained.
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Well, its not that easy to trade down. Apparently the Jets were being somewhat stingy in what they were offering to move up. Maybe they wanted Brick from the start.

Pretend like you know what you are talking about...... Back to reality, word here in Houston is Casserly is in line to get a high ranking positon with NFL. Since Tags is leaving there will be some major reshuffling with NFL and Casserly is rumored to be in the running for a high position. NOT to be commish, but something of high rank. |
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
casserly ressigned days before the draft began. he's aiming for VP of operations or some such for the NFL. this was never a surprise.
|
Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
i think people in the organization were afraid to take bush.just like tmc said they should have taken ferguson

Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Wrong thread!

Re: Casserly Gone from Texans
Casserly was gonna be gone no matter what pre draft according to PFT. You can put any draft reasoning you want on it, but 4 straight losing seasons=changes. This had nothing to do with Mario Williams or Reggie Bush at all.
Rather, I do believe that Mario Williams had something to do with this. It's not a pick he would have made if he wanted to keep his job. |

I'm pretty sure he has a manly yellow Ford F-150. |

Sounds like he's taking cues from the other Texas owner. |
