Ahhhhhhhh, the start of the football season begins with the release of this "next-gen" title. Anybody picking this one up for the XBOX 360?

I have too many PS2 games to go out and buy the XB360. I'm waiting for the PS3, which hopefully will be backward compatable. I love the NCAA version, but I may just rent it, play if for a week, get my fix in and wait for MAdden 07.

it really depends on the game...but i figure if i can get 5, 10, 20 bucks off on games i don't play anymore, better than paying full price. plus if you trade in last year's edition for the newer one, they give you another 2 bucks off.

I also came across a website that enables you if you so wanted to print out your own favorite college team, mascot, or even random hot things like jessica alba page 3 cover for the game even if its ps2, 360 wtvr at [url]www.flickr.com[/url]. Word from the polluted internet street is a demo could be running soon or now havent checked yet. Im extremely cautious about buying football games this year. i have 360, xb, ps2. after madden last year should i buy xb bot ncaa/maddn, or 360 ncaa/xb maddn? probably end up getting both damnit.

picking mine up for 360 monday @midnight. I only get ncaa either other year and this year's version looks really tight so hopefully it will bode well for Madden as last year's was dissapointing especially given the fact that it was the only football series to choose from.

head coach needs work. until they fix the gui its too hard to use, and the game stuff is fixed difficulty, so it's too easy and you can't make it harder.

i dloaded the demo for the 360 have been playing it quite a bit. i'm not to impressed with it. it just doesn't feel right at all play wise. ea did do one thing right though, good luck *jetpacking* aka throwing the bomb.

I wanted to buy it just to have something different from the same ole madden junk that they put out as "new" every year. I havent heard 1 good thing about it from anyone i have talked to. i am glad i didnt just but it first. Thanks That Guy!!

Terrible. Bought it returned within a day. Plays like a the sims. You have to live your life around a schedule--- lame, it limits your control. Absolutely it was a ploy to make up for the nfl exclusive deal. Save your money, even if you find $ on the ground- you would get a better value just burning it.

I hope because the football video games are going down a deadend right now, atleast qualitywise. I am sure they can still make big bucks off the name recognition, so I guess there is little incentive to make significant changes.

NFL Head Coach loads way to much for what you do. My biggest beef is that no one good ever reaches Free Agency. So you can only build through the draft. Also, my XBox copy no longer works. Within a week of having it it arbitrarily shuts down during training camp drills. Weird.

You could do worse for $40, but you could also keep your money. It's worth a rental.

nfl head coach needs to kill the stat range crap (or witch to a base/modified display like rpg's with the white base number and a second row with green/red modified numbers). Change from the icon player GUI to a matrix one (like madden), and make the options easier to see (like in the draft, hiding you advisor off the screen so you have to click a part of the screen to make it switch so you can even see him). The draft needs a lot of work too, you can't see more than the last 5 draft picks or whatnot... again, if it just had the info madden already has, it'd be MUCH better. You also need an option to switch the difficulty.

Maybe it was the first year rush, but whoever was in charge obviously has never done GUI and i'd guess this was his first big project... it sucks that with all the money and experience EA has that they'd have to make so many terrible mistakes.

i got head coach but bearly had a chance to play it. I got through hiring coaches and stuff. I don't know why greg williams is like in the mid 50s for his ranking stat. I got all my coaches and that is where i stopped. I have a down payment on ncaa. I'll play head coach more today.

Just bought NCAA for both XB/360. Im returning the XB version to my suprise despite the campus legend feature. XB is still decent, 360 nothing special if anything XB has better playability maybe due to familiarness but splurge for the 360 version for the achievement points and gorgeous graphics.

I just picked it up for PS2 and I really can't say I like it very much. I only played it for about 20mins and I was not impressed one bit.

The game play seemed pretty slow and the graphics aren't very good. Plus, I'm not a fan of the controls, but I guess that will just take some time to get used to.

The last NCAA football game I had was back in 2005 and I still play that on occasion. It plays more like Madden, which I like, and I feel like the controls and graphics are just all around better. I really hate when they F with games this much.

Maybe I just need to give it more time.

Yeah, no ps2 sport game can hold a light to XB. Button layout is different this year - which sux, 360 version is fantastic. Which makes me very optimistic Madden will be hotter than the sun that scorched me this afternoon.

I traded in 6 games (damn Funcoland, I only got $9.50 for them) to get it. I started doing the preseason stuff in Campus Legend mode (I created a defensive end, scholarship to Maryland), but didn't get too far. This mode is above and beyond better than last year's.

Perhaps I'm slow, but I like the playstyle of NCAA. That and you can run the option...

I rented it, on the 360, im not that impressed, matter of fact im really disappointed in the games thats coming out for the 360, so if anyones in the market for a XBOX 360, then send me a message, I have a good deal for someone,......that would include a extra controller, 2 games Boxing, and Basketball, wireless headseats...............

college is fun but I can see where some might be dissapointed but I can't part with my 360 with Dead Rising, Ninety Nine Nights, Enchanted Arms, Madden, Lego Star Wars, and Splinter Cell all coming out in the next 2 monthes as well as all the sweet retro XBL arcade games and the October - December games.

At least are the graphics tight on the new NCAA?

I wasn't all that impressed with Madden '06 on the 360. Did it look good? Yeah, but certainly not next-gen or anything like those artist rendered videos EA was pimping last year.

yes the graphics r sweet especially the detail on the stadiums
