Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography

There are days where I just sit around trying to write jokes. And there are days where they jusy up and write themselves. |
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
TO misquoted himself. Next thing you know, we'll find out that he uses a stunt double when running routes over the middle.
|
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
I believe that TO doesn't think what he did was "heroic." In his mind he probably thinks it was even more amazing than that, if he had gotten his way he would have said his recovery was "Christ-like."
|
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
F him. I'm tired of his drama.

The things in that book make me happy because it shows me that TO is still TO and hasn't changed a bit. Just because Jerry jones acts like he can relate doesn't mean anything because I can only hope parcells lives up to his stature and puts TO in his place. I can't see this working for 3 years, especially when you have bledsoe behind the center and no protection. |
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
First in line for the book signing was Jason Hicks, 16, a defensive tackle at Duncanville High School who recently finished a book about former Cowboys quarterback Roger Staubach.
"I'll read anything," said Hicks, holding a copy of T.O., "that has to do with football leadership." :laughing2  :laughing- :laughing2  :laughing- |
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
I Love how whenever we played T.O we completely shut him down...what did he have like 1 TD against us??
|
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
Come on Boys, don't you think that is a pretty close minded attutude for the pride of Benjamin Russel HS. Man says he was misquoted, maybe he was. This type of thing has happened before. Like "I did not have sex with that woman", ain't that right Hillary?
And, "I tell you, that lil' bastard Cato did her. I can't even get the F... glove on Marcia"!!!!!! |

Just to make sure you know, check T.O.'s record against us. I think his record against us is more important than whether we shut him down or not. |
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
From ESPNs Article
In "T.O.", which debuted last week, Owens likens former teammate Donovan McNabb to a bully who spat in his mouth as a teenager while he innocently slept on a school bus.
What must've been one short ass bus. Btw, thats kinda gay. TO has cooties! Edited: I realized it made no sense. |
TO misquoted himself. Next thing you know, we'll find out that he uses a stunt double when running routes over the middle.
He'll only use that one if he...er...his stunt double drops the ball. |

Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
charles barkley said the same thing about his autobiography... both of them had co-writers who probably di most of the work.
|
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
It was probably misinterpreted b/c he cant communicate his feelings in a civilized or identifiable language. He speaks the language of hate.
I like the Dhani Jones commercials sitting in a smoking jacket and quoting the book's "sophicated and intellectual wordplay" Its pretty funny how the NFL is joining in to clown Owens on their own network for a national stage. |

TO sounds downright humble in the article. So how about this - TO doesn't blow up and the Cowboys have picked up a Top Reciever. So you got one guy - TO - who does pretty well at WR. On the other side you have Glenn who led the league in AVG Yards per catch. I know you can't help but bash the OLINE, but here is the problem with that; IT CAN'T BE ANY WORSE THAN LAST YEAR!! It really can't be. I mean we aren't Houston for crying out loud!! And there is no Juco Kicker to screw up 32 yd chip shots. I think we win 11 games this year. |
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
i think im one of 2 people on this board that thinks owens will behave( at least this season) and be a top 5 receiver. he pretty much knows at age 32 this is just about it. but... i still think he is an idiot. and since someone started a t.o. thread, can a lavar thread be far behind?

The facts are simple. If you never change your thinking/behavior you will always see the same problems reoccuring. TO will post some numbers near his avg., anyhow the team has minimal chances of playoffs, and maximum chances of TO having a sissy fit later down the road. Meanwhile, at Redskins HQ the team is building a team/family not a selfish, greedy, outspoken environment. In any other profession he would not make it past the screening. If he couldnt play football he would certainly be in jail. He cannot function day to day without shitting where he eats/sleeps. Yeah, Im sure glad SKins have standards. Even Norwood made them count..... except when they needed it.hahahahaha I love Dallas. Maybe they can sign Akili Smith, Tony Banks, Trung Canidate to really convince this cowboy fan - DALLAS ALL THE way... out of contention. |

Charles Barkley is ashamed of TO. When asked about TO he just stopped, and was like seek help, hes got way to much time on his hands. I do really like how cowboy fans are embrassing him after the whole star thing, that speaks volumes about the whole culture there. There is nothing more sac-religious, he might as well pissed on the alamo either way Dallas fans/team will sell out only to get whored/fu**** in the end. I would really like for science to seize control of TO so that he may be studied and put on display for the inner city youth to learn from. Teaching that if your not absolutely among the best, you will be killed/shot/arrested or homeless conducting like this. The funny thing is when life after football comes what does he have to offer? who will want him in their life? certainly not for conversation, for the pleasant environment, there will be no safe place to live- he is a pariah even while in the spotlight. |

Couldn't agree more, Matty. |
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
if TO were here, i'm sure a ton of fans on this board would be talking about how he's changed and it's different this time, and about how productive he'll be. We'll see what happens. I think he'll squabble with bledsoe a few times (maybe a game or two suspension), but i don't think it'll go the way it did in philly.

I don't think he has any reasoning to be a headcase in Dallas. Don't get me wrong, it's always a possibility. But don't hold your breath.
Either way, it really doesn't affect the Skins that much. The only way Dallas could stop the Redskins from taking the division is through a sweep (The Skins could get injured, but that's none the fault of Dallas). T.O.'s good, but if you're a Cowboys fan, don't count on pulling a sweep of Washington. |

Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
He's right lol. Terrell Owens didn't say it was heroic, T.O. said it was heroic. They're two completely different people.
|
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
I doubt TO has a full grasp of what the word "heroic" means and probably thought it was derogatory.
Haha! Remember when we used to have to say stuff like that about our team? Lord, it's good to have some O-line continuity. Your O-line can be worse than it was last year. There is no guarantee of it being better, worse, or the same, but all three are possible. Here's the thing though, you all are starting how many new linemen this year? 2? 3? I don't keep track, so feel free to correct me there. The point is, you can't just throw a line together and expect everything to work out ok. Well, I guess you can hope it will. Good luck with that. Assuming your line goes through the growing pains any line does in your situation, this year will be rough for you guys. What's funny is that, assuming you've brought in capable guys, your O-line should start to play fairly together in 07. Of course, how old will your QB and top 2 receivers be then? And who do you all have backing up Bledsoe? Are you at all concerned about the future of your team, at least the offense? On defense you guys have put together a decent front seven, but you are suspect in coverage. However, even assuming you all get that straight, the 04 Skins team showed pretty well that a top notch defense won't necessarily make up for a non-existant offense. |

Don't count me as one of those on the board that would make excuses for TO if he were a Redskin. He is a pariha if you ask me. A cancer that can eat at a teams chemistry. He did it in Philly thats for sure. I think he is one of the most gifted recievers the league has seen in years...but bottom line he can not control the way he acts because that is who he is. He can not stop being a bone head any more than he could stop breathing. I am glad Dallas has him. When it all goes sour I will be smiling big time!!! |

I think I heard the Swamp Monster!!! MJG, uhhhh. Wha?????
Its cool man, we understand Cowboy fans have a learning curve. When you can sound out the words and put the noun with the verbs maybe then you will be able to read, and evaluate your life decisions, ie. being a dallas fan. Your half way to redemtion my friend, registered to the warpath. Kick the habit and just say no to Dallas. |

Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
Today I was at the mall, buying a few things, and i stopped in at the local bookstore. I had a few minutes on my hands before my ride was supposed to pick me up, and i checked out T.O.'s book. Like i expected, it was full of stuff about how it wasn't T.O.'s fault, and the media makes him out to be a jerk, yada yada and such. One of the things he mentions was how he felt hurt that McNabb didn't throw him the ball in the 2004 Cleveland game, and the play that was being ran was one they had practiced all week, and T.O. felt like it would've produced a touchdown easily.
Another thing he mentions was this happened another time in a different game before he broke his leg, and T.O. went back to the huddle and says in a nice friendly tone, "Dude i was open" and McNabb responds with,"Shut the fuck up." T.O. was upset after that, and he tried to talk to him in the locker room after the game, but McNabb was the one who didn't want to apologize or anything. That was about all i read in the book. I thought it was kind of interesting, but i wouldn't waste money on it unless you wanted to read a T.O. lovefest. |
Re: Owens claims he was misquoted in Autobiography
Dallas Sucks. T.O. Sucks. Puzzle piece.
Suck + Suck = Loser... God, I hate the cowboyz. |
