Is Taylor a robot?

You may have seen this before but here it is again. If not here it is. This guy has the whole east shook up.

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

I hope that this year there won't be any focus on Taylor's off-field issues so everyone can appreciate just how great a football player he is. He's a rare breed that doesn't come along every day.

I know I've said it before, but I'll say it again. When he was out for the Tampa game last season I think that's when a lot of people really realized how valuable he is. And while the TD passes to Santana gave the Redskins the lead against Dallas, Taylor's hit on Crayton won the game. They convert that first down and the outcome could have been very different

Yes, and he is programmed to kick ass.

Man I miss playing ball. Since I am older than he I like to think I was his inspiration and role model.

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

I just worry one day he'll dive and learn that he can fly faster than a speeding bullet.

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

More whip ass than ANY safety in the NFL last year.
Because of his off field troubles he was excluded from probowl.
He plays with more intensity than anyone has since Ray Lewis gave a shzit.

I must have been your inspiration, then. I'm as old as the hills and twice as rocky.

You know what they say about stuff traveling down hills, how it picks up speed.

He has come from the future, to destroy Terrell Owens.

A buddy of mine is a Cowboy fan who's been crowing all offseason "Who's gonna stop TO!" I've been holding my tongue, but I can't wait to see TO go in front of Sean Taylor.

Also, I think I've figured out which jersey to buy. ST it is!

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

There is no doubting that ST is a man-beast after watching that video...

...BUT, did anyone else notice several of those highlights were actually late-hits out of bounds or potential pass interference? He needs to clean that crap up - I want him to be knocking heads off, but not hurting the team with stupid penalties because he is out of control.

That said, I'm SOOOO glad he's on our team!

It goes beyond that. Sean is guilty of a lot of Friendly Fire.

You know, whenever I see that you've written a post I expect to laugh...a lot. But then you also have posts like these that bring up great points. You're exactly right about Taylor needing to time many of his hits a bit better.

But if you wouldn't mind, could you resubmit this post and throw in a joke or two? Just so I know it's you and not Christian Morton Fan Club posing as you. Thanks!

So if clinton goes down......... (god please no), I vote we let ST come out of the backfield. He played running back in high school right?

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

ST would be a great RB. he's built for it, but he'll last a lot longer at DB and RBs are easier to find.

Monkeydad 08-22-2006 01:09 PM

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

Taylor could make a good WR too. He'd run through the CBs trying to tackle him. It would be fun to watch.

Great vid. I love watching ST bring down the hammer!

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

Actually ST is a HEAT SEEKING missile. But I'm concerned about his apparent "I'm indestructable" approach - even though that's what makes him scary (for RBs, WRs, etc).

I don't want to say "I TOLD YOU SO" - but.... I FREAKIN TOLD YOU SO!

He's fun to watch but always goes for the highlight hit. Ok, with my point made, I'll focus only on some POSITIVES out of last night's game:

1) Brunel didn't throw an interception
2) Clinton Portis not only played, but played A LOT - and scored a TD
3) One out of two punts from Frost are really good
4) Randle El is going to be fun to watch this year - great addition to the team
5) Carlos Rogers and Sean Taylor put the smack down in Special Teams
6) San Francisco fans DO know what they're talking about when it comes to sissy WR's that are afraid to make the catch over the middle (Lloyd) and CB's that suck in man-coverage (Rumph). We should listen up next time...
7) TJ Ducket was a great cheerleader on the sidelines - DEFINITELY worth the high-round draft pick that we gave up for him.

C'mon - I'm trying, I really am.....

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

Did anyone notice Taylor was running a lot of the defense? He was up on the line, moving the coverage guys around and pointing out mismatches. He's never lacked confidence out there, but he looked even more so last night.

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

ST is not reliable to make good decisions...He is not even close to Ed Reed's league.

onlydarksets 09-12-2006 10:04 AM

Re: Is Taylor a robot?

FWIW, I agree - I don't want him running the defense. However, I'm hoping it's a sign that he's maturing a bit.
