Need I Say More Than "LA"? (Arrington injured again)
didnt see it posted anywheres but we all knew this would continue lol
Arrington leaves afternoon practice swollen knee - NFL - Yahoo! Sports |
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
Should go with his swollen ego, hopefully like LA's talk the Giants will not be able backup him up.
|
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
arrington WAS a member if the redskins. if you get happiness because of an injury, you made need professional help
|
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
lavar's story is a sad one. However, he constantly said the coaches had something against him personally. This proves that he is straight out of his mind.

If that was construed out of my remark, whatever I'll go on record anytime a jackass in our division gets hurt. Honestly its not life threatening, so all that I care about is what is in between the R-edskin-S organization. Let us remember that he is the one who broke our hearts. Any attempt to sabotage or foul up this franchise will come back to them. I do take delight in their misfortune, thats how I carry it. A swollen knee- please, should he be diagnosed for cancer I'll say a prayer. Even back when I played if oppossing teams got hurt... well better them than me or mine. This is a physical sport and a battle so if enemies fall I don't stop and cry for them I go back thinking about the next play of how to run them over. Its the nature of game. It was his decision to stay in the conference and dont think for a second that he isnt going to get a hard on to watch the skins falter. What type of bullshit is that, dont call me or anyone out for a comment like I initially stated. Step back. Now that I have viewed what I said, nothing personal but you must understand. No bad love towards you but rather the principle of what was stated. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
This is Michael Barrow karma for the Giants...

I agree I'd rather nobody get hurt but if it happens I'd rather it be a non redskin and I'd really rather it be a non redskin inthe NFC east. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
I really can't believe he's hurt (again).
He's normally such an iron (tin) man. |
Um...its a knee
MIGHTYJOEGIBBS, i agree with you.
Because a grown man can't run as fast as he used to and won't be as good of a player against my team, I'm glad. I know, I know, call me evil. Yep, a grown man making millions that can't run as fast any more should get care and prayer, but silly me I think i'll care about sick folks, folks in bad situations, folks with problems instead...instead of the guy who had the gift of enough talent to make millions for years PLAYING a GAME that may not play it as well as he used to. Go ahead, report me to the naughty list at the next politcal correctness meeting. The fact a GROWN MAN can't run as fast and won't be as good against my team does make me pleased, so i guess there's something wrong with me too. Come on, this isn't like teddy bruschi after the superbowl, mark fields cancer, or a back/neck type of thing. Its a knee. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
who is this 'Lavar Arrington' you speak of?
|
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
Yawn.

Well if you asked me which would make me happier: A. Lavar healthy and crushing our skill players B. Lavar on the sidelines with a swollen knee. Give me answer B every day of the week and twice on Sundays (pun intended) He is the enemy. P.S. Danny White crumbling under Dexter still makes me smile. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
lavar had his moments here, but the criticism isn't undue. just cause he was once a skin doesn't make him above reproach. his injury was bad, and not surprisingly, he's still not healthy. we were lucky to get out of that contract (which would have still been terrible even if lavar was at 100% for its duration). I can't believe he and his agent though the buyout was a good idea.

THAT'S the key. We are free of that bloated contract. Would've been trouble in the upcoming years. Now we have wiggle room to keep our key guys here. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
Did Stephen Davis have the same surgery last year on his knees too?
|
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
Time and time again, with just about all of the players released or traded within the last few years, it really looks like we know what the heck we're doing.
Man, they are drinking some serious LaVar Kool Aid on the Giants site. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "l.a."?
I may need professional help but id be happy if he is hurt when we play the G-men.

I'm not sure that the Skins knew this was going to be a problem or if they just thought they could do without him and his hugh contract. He did perform well for us toward the end of the year. |
The one exception is Antonio Pierce. Damn I wish we'd kept him. But Coles, Gardner, Smoot, Arrington, and the others that don't come to mind immediately, good riddance. |

You remember dude, he was like, um, a lineman, no safety, damn, who was this Lavar? |
Re: Need I Say More Than "LA"? (Arrington injured again)
I heard his contract in New York is nothing but fancy numbers, he's not gonna see that money unless he performs really well in NY. In the case he doesn't perform well, he's probably gonna be hating the skins every day he's injured just because he's not gonna see the money he thinks he's worth.

Re: Need I Say More Than "LA"? (Arrington injured again)
What's funny is I'm inclined to believe the Redskins would have stuck by him one more year even with his knee situation.

We've got Marshall at a fraction of what Pierce would have cost. I think we made out great with that. |

I really doubt that. The relationship between him and the coaches was clearly coming apart especially at the end. LB coach Dale Lindsey and him butted heads repeatedly. His health was obviously a concern, but a bigger part of us letting him walk had to do with him simply not fitting in with this staff and what they wanted to him to do. |

Dmek, I don't mean to come down on you, because you're only the latest one to do this so it's not entirely directed at you. But I am absolutely sick and tired of hearing people lecture about how it's not cool to take pleasure in an opponent's injury. This is f*ckin football. Men play this game, not babies, not women, not boys. Men. I am glad to see Lavar Arrington hurt because he's a Giant, so effing sue me. As long as it's not life threatening or career threatening, I don't see the problem. Pain is temporary, it will go away and he'll still live a normal happy life. In the meantime, he won't be able to play effectively against my Redskins, and that's a good thing. So please, everyone stop with the effing lectures, grow a sack, and get real. Should I feel sorry for a weekend warrior who sprains a knee playing hoops? Eff no. He'll be fine in three weeks. Cry me an effing river. :soapbox: |

Don't create bad karma! He's no longer a Redskins and I wish him well, just not so much when we play the Giants! |

:soapbox:
AND he's going to be living in comfort his whole life while we work our asses off with or without injury. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "LA"? (Arrington injured again)
Wednesday at 10am.
That's when I say LaVar holds some impromptu conference to declare that his knees are totally fine, he's not hurt, he just needs to emotionally pace himself for the full regular season or some such bull. Who wants to take the under, who wants to take the over? |

If my memory serves me correctly there were more than a few here who marveled at the hit LaVar put on Troy Aikman to virtually end his career. It's funny you would mention that because we obviously have a long line waiting for professional help. |
Re: Need I Say More Than "LA"? (Arrington injured again)
I guess I will have to line up with the "in need of professional help", because I cheered my ass off when Aikman was crumpled by LA. I know smile at his downfall and hope we never see him play against us. Injury is part of the game and this is a violent game. So I say block him low and kick him if he is still moving.

Thank you. Finally some real men up in here! I was worried we were changing our team name to the Washington Sugar Plum Fairies. |
