Things that would make me smile this season

1 I would like to see the broncos have no running game.It is ok to see champ have a good season, but i would love to wipe the arrogant smirks off their faces about Portis just being a product of their system.

2 More Tiki Barber fumbles.

3 Sean Taylor absolutely crushing Winslow and getting up to give a mock salute to the "f*cking soldier"

4 Drew Henson is the next Hutchinson.

5 I would likt to see Gibbs run a pure sweep in the NFC east this year with a 6-0 record.

6 I would like to see Ramsey beat out Brunell and lead the team to the superbowl.

7 The Ravens D put the smack down on Terrell Oowens ass.

8 I would like to see coach Gibbs win the super bowl in his 1st year back and watch him be labeled the greatest coach in the history of the NFL.

9 I like to see Dan Snyder on the cover of Sports Illustrated holding up the trophy.

MTK 06-04-2004 03:01 PM

I can't argue with any of those

RedskinRat 06-04-2004 03:14 PM

One minor thing to add. I'd like to see all the active Warpath members at the tailgate for the Redskins Super Bowl appearance.

cpayne5 06-04-2004 03:22 PM

I'd like to see WJFK come to their senses and reinstate Frank Herzog back into his rightful position.

SKINSnCANES 06-04-2004 03:34 PM

Id like to see most of the team this season on our team next season and not a whole new team again. Just a fwe key pickups but the same core of guys, that woudl be so nice.

Sammy Baugh Fan 06-04-2004 03:40 PM

"I'd like to see WJFK come to their senses and reinstate Frank Herzog back into his rightful position."

I AGREE 100%!
They F'd Frank and it won't be the same.

I'd like to see our defensive line make four stops inside the 2 yard line to win a playoff game.

I'd like to see Brunell throwing the deep ball in DC to Coles like he did in Jacksonville to Jimmy Smith just a few years ago.

I'd like to see McNabb running away from LaVar only to be cracked from the blindside by Sean Taylor.

I'd like to see our defense get off the field on 3rd down and our offense putting up points.

I'd like to see Art Monk make the HOF.

Mexskins 06-04-2004 06:33 PM

Just one thing:

WIN BABY!!!!!

Hail from Mexico !!!!

jthor99 06-04-2004 09:07 PM

well if the redskins crush the ravens that would put the biggest smile on my face. I cant stand the Ravens or there fans and it would be great to beat them.

I wish there was a Superbowl Website Contest or somthing, and the NFL would throw a party for all us warpathers. Then we can watch the Skins' win the superbowl together. That'd be awsome!

PSUskinsfan11 06-05-2004 01:24 AM

i agree with all of the statements but i got one of my own......LAVAR for D-MVP!!!!

SmootSmack 06-05-2004 08:19 AM

Seeing Bowen lay a fierce hit on someone from the other team

Seeing LaVar lay a hit on someone in bounds

Seeing Ade run one back for a game winning TD, actually just seeing him get any pick would be fine

Seeing Gardner hold on to the ball when it's thrown to him

Seeing no yellow flags on the field for "false starts" when we're on offense

Seeing Gibbs take a shower....a Gatorade shower

But most of all, I'd really like to see Fred Smoot come out of his shell and be a bit more vocal. The guy is too damn introverted

Seriously though, in the words of mi amigo MexSkins "WIN BABY"

SKINS73 06-05-2004 10:08 PM

I would like to see Thrash get a touchdown against the Eagles

I would like to see Taylor live up to his "ballhawk" billing

...and I would like to see Ramsey win the starting job and make it to the Pro Bowl

joecrisp 06-05-2004 10:28 PM

I'd like to see FedEx Field transformed into a raging sea of Burgundy and Gold-spangled fans, hear "Hail to the Redskins" loudly and proudly chorusing through the crisp autumn air, and feel the stands shaking under the weight of 86,484 dedicated Redskins fans dancing wildly in victory.

That's all I want.

Over and over and over again.

sportscurmudgeon 06-05-2004 10:52 PM

smootsmack:

I like your list. It has a sense of "reality" in it...

Sammy Baugh Fan 06-05-2004 10:56 PM

I'd like to see joecrisp's girlfriend in a bikini but alas I digress.

Note: She's a hottie and Joe is out punting his coverage but I have to give the guy a high five for finding a nice lady that'll put up with all of us.

hahahaha!

peace

Hogskin 06-06-2004 05:42 AM

AHA!!! Now we see the REAL reason that the cicadas kept Joe in Richmond this weekend LOL.

I want to see Gibbs dominate Parcells this time around - two big wins over South America's Team with Jones on the sidelines!!

mike
Thanks, Mike. I'm sure she appreciates that!

But what the hell is this stuff about me out-punting my coverage?!:cussing:

Skins fan 44 06-06-2004 11:16 AM

I am just happy to see Coach Gibbs back on the sidelines. Now I know anything is possible.

I'd like to see Ade Jimoh become a top CB in the NFL. We need a CB with size now that we have T.O. and Me-Shawn Johnson in the NFC east. Did anyone notice that Ade Jimoh is listed on the roster at www.redskins.com site at 6'-1" and 245 pounds.?.? Has he been super-sizing this offseason?
www.nfl.com's main player list has him at 190 pounds.

Big C 06-08-2004 04:57 PM

why does everyone like ade jumoh so much? All i remember him doing is gettin burned every time, and gettin benched for the rest of the season after the new england game.

SmootSmack 06-08-2004 05:19 PM

Ade Jimoh is nearly as big as LaVar?? And the same size as Barrow??

Anyway, Jimoh is like that walk-on scrub at the end of the bench on college basketball teams that plays the final 1:15 of a blowout and everyone goes nuts just to see him there even though he airballs or bricks every shot. Jimoh is our own walk-on scrub.

Plus, it's just fun to rally around him since we have the founder/president/sole member of his fan club on the warpath, Ade Jimoh Fan Club.

Maybe if someone had the username Andre Lott Fan Club we'd rally around Andre Lott as well.

Big C 06-08-2004 05:20 PM

maybe ill make that name...hmm...interesting..
why does everyone like ade jumoh so much? All i remember him doing is gettin burned every time, and gettin benched for the rest of the season after the new england game.
I think for a few reasons.... (for me at least)

1. Ade Jimoh Fan Club is freakin' hysterical.

2. Getting burned like he did, we'd all like to see him do better. Given the coaches last year, I can't entirely blame him.

3. Who doesn't like the possibility of a good success story when you know the odds are stacked against him?

4. Lastly and probably most importantly to me, I've always been the kind of person to root for the underdog and stick up for for guys who are maligned. I thank my Mom for that value and am damn glad to have it.

He fits the bill to a tee.. undrafted rookie, made the team, and got burned early in the season when maybe he should not have been in the position to get burned. He was ripped by anyone and everyone.

Point being, yeah, he had a rough time last year. But there's no reason not to root for him now!

GO ADE!!!!

Big C 06-08-2004 06:11 PM

As long as he stays off the field, hes my frind.

*Phin has a sudden flashback to high school.*

Yeah, I root for that guy 'cause he was...is me. :p

Things that will make me smile:
1. At least ten wins.
2. A playoff birth.

Everything else is icing on the cake.
