Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Colts looking awsome again early on vs next weeks opposition, Houston. Up 14-0 and driving.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Man, the Eagles are looking real nasty. Real Nasty!!
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
5 sacks and the game isn't even over yet. ZERO sacks for the Giants.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
is it just me or are the giants horrible?
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
stallworth to the eagles might end up to be the best pickup of the yr for anybody, thanks a lot saints, dumbasses

they arent that bad, i think its just a bad game everybody has them |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
How about the Eagles run defense. Holding Tiki Barber to 17 yards on 14 carries. damn.
Also, congrats to the Raiders. 6 points in 2 games must be some kind of record for futility. Same goes for Tampa Bay. 3 points in 2 games is even worse than the Raiders. |
is it just me or are the giants horrible?
I don't think they are "horrible", but they are (just like their QB) way over rated! |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
I'll tell you what, I dont know if theres a QB in the league i'd rather have with under a mintue than Eli Manning...he's inconsistent as hell, but the guy can play with the pressure on...
Vikings look like they are giong to beat Carolina in OT |

I can think of a bunch...how about his brother Peyton for starters? Trent Green was no slouch, even at 37, Brett Favre is still a great pick. Delhomme is a better choice as well. Eli is THE most overrated QB in all the land. Vick is a close 2nd because he is delusional in thinking he is a pocket passer...HAHAHA. If he embraced his speed, he would be a much better qb. ps- Eli just fumbled in OT. |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
By the way, it looks like Kearse could be out for the season after injuring his knee...he seriously CRIED limping off the field.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Well, I wonder if i'm not the only one suprised that the Eagles have sacked Elisha 8 times.
That and the fact that it's the second quarter in San Diego and Kerry Collins has yet to complete a pass. How long before we see Vince Young? |

The Giants line has played like completle hudda. If they opened their eyes on alot of the screens in the first half, they wouldnt even be in overtime right now; cause Barber had a ton of room with a blocker who decided not to block anyone. |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
I'll be honest....I took alot of pleausre in that Giants win.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Burress said the "S" word on TV and now I'm sad.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Eli talks like the guys in the mailroom at my office.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Eagles let up at the end of the third quarter and it bit them in the ass. Eli looked very solid in the 4th quarter and OT. If can ever figure out how to put together four straight quarters, he's certainly got all the tools. For those that say he's overrated, I disagree. No one is annointing him a top 5 qb in the league, but I wouldn't argue against him in the top 10.
All in all I was glad to see the gint's make it a game and keep everyone 1-1 in the NFC East. Kearse didn't look good after that injury...have to believe he's done for the season. I feel bad for him, but I'll be glad if we don't have to face him. |

That's hilarious. He is a bit of a mumbler. The Warpath should hereby annoint him mumbles manning. |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
How in the hell did the Eagles let that one get away. They were kicking ass for damn near three quarters. Sounds cliche but it's true....you have to play sixty minutes to win 'up here'.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
man giants came back to beat eagles, awesome. espn will excuse it tho. good to see vikings win, its best for us if they just keep on winning and get their division since we already lost a tiebreaker to them. panthers start out 0-2 that is good and bucs do too. great results today for us
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
we need to watch out for them saints undefeated!!!!!!!lol
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
how about Kansas City winning at the half by a score of 3-0. I never would've thought that possible.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
i know they are playin garbage teams but the chargers look really tough all the way around this year
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Merriman is the next LT, not Lavar.
|
i know they are playin garbage teams but the chargers look really tough all the way around this year
Same can be said for Chicago; they look freaking dominante. How bout Tampa Bay....they look like hell averaging a whooping 1.5 points per game after 2 weeks. |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
I felt sorry for Antonio Pierce as neither of the other Giants LBers are worth a damn. Lavar looks slower and more clueless than he did last year which is quite an accomplishment if you think about it. The Giants front office should get used to hearing phrases like "pig in a poke" or "taken for a ride" and "you're fired". Carlos E. is equally worthless.
The problem the Eagles have is that you can't put a team away when you don't have a physical running game. Neither team impresses me all that much. Minnesota on the other hand... |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
I feel like LaVar looks really slow too. Did you see him completely miss a tackle on McNabb in the 4th?
I feel like he also looks really small. I'm really starting to believe that 'roid rumor I heard a few months ago. |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Funny thing about Tampa...Gruden pretty much inherited Dungy's team and they've never been quite up to par since he left.
On that same note, I bet Brad Johnson is giving a few teams the middle finger right about now! |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
BTW, why the hell did I start Derrick Mason over Coles in my fantasy league today? I feel like a huge jackass, especially since I'm probably going to lose because of it.

He covered quite a bit of ground on the play when he sacked and injured Alex Smith. That same level of explosiveness just isn't there. |

Man did you see that catch/run Coles just had...it was freaking awsome. |
what happened....how many yards does he have for the game?
7 catches for over 100 yards |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
stat of the day:
vikings 2/15 on 3rd downs this week, way down from 52% completion last week vs us... |

amazing |
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
cant believe the panthers were a superbowl favorite by many prognasticators. although the coach screwed them with a bs special teams play thats what really cost them. and by the way thanks to the g-men for giving us a chance to have a share of the divison lead with a victory over the boys. the pass to plaxico was amazing by eli today.
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
it looks pretty wide open this year, i only see 2 dominationg teams(ravens, chargers)
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
49ers beat Rams 20-13, with impressive performances from the Oline, Alex Smith, Frank Gore and Antonio Bryant. Our staters at LT and LG were both inactive and still we have allowed zero sacks this season. That's cool...
|
Re: Around the NFL 9/17/06
Coles had a great game for New York, definitely looks like he's gonna have a good season up there. I wish him the best.
