u forget we aren't a media darling so this will happen until the team starts whopping up on the big boys. I mean look @ NE. they have played like crap and u don't hear anyone really talkin junk about them. it is frustrating as hell though cuz I didn't know a W looked any different on paper whether it was against a good or a bad team, but maybe that's cuz I'm not a sports reporter. plus u all know this team in recent memory has had a tendancy to have let downs against bad teams so I hope the team enjoys this win and continues the momentum into next week against a very good defense but also a very easy to disrupt qb.

Yeah, I hear ya and all, and am thoroughly enjoying the day, I, and many other wp'ers and media outlets just have concerns. Its hard to get a feel for our team after dallas did what they did to us last week, and they put together something beautiful in houston the next week. There will be questions, and not everything is peachy.... but I understand your wanting to just enjoy it for a while.

I wouldn't sleep on patten. I went to all the training camps last year and thought he looked better in his cuts and routes than moss... moss shows more in a game than in practice though (insert iverson quote here...)

I think we have a group of weapons that other teams would kill for. I think we just have to build up to their attacking points in the offensive scheme. We'll get there, I just hope we don't have a year of 'rebuilding' in a new offense and a year of 'rebuilding' with a new QB. I'd rather get them over with now than make excuses later, but there's probably a reason why I sell cars and don't coach pro football.

The win in Houston is great, and you don't apologize for who you play. That said, we shouldn't act like we just beat a decent team. We beat up on a team lacking talent who has one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Enjoy the win, they played well, but I won't believe this team is ready till they at least play a good team close.

You said it Daseal. This was a good win but Houston is terrible. Sonny said it best during yesterdays game when he said "it had to call a bad play against this team". Everyone should be happy but lets not get carried away. We'll see how good this O is vs a very good Jax D.

As Daseal says, take away what you can and use it to build on for a more difficult challenge this week. Perhaps as in last year, until the first long Moss completion in the Dallas game, we had done squat. We were a new team after turning that corner!!!!!! Maybe????????????

this isn't 2003. 2004 we lost games by touchdowns, 2005 we won those games, this year it's FAIR to expect improvement from last year!

last year this time, Brunell, Moss and Portis were leading the league in their respective categories.

Unfortunately, playing a team close isn't really comforting after a loss.

That logic doesn't work because the rest of the NFL is different, and arguably is better. We may be better than last year, but so may everyone else.

Well portis would be leading if he wasnt hurt the first 2 games...he already has 3 rushing TD's...and you cannot expect Moss to put up the same numbers with LLoyd and Randel El in town...BUT!! that being said...i really dont care who gets the bulk or whose stats are bloated!!! As long as they are using who they have and getting in the end zone its alllll good baby!

Guys you beat a really bad team but you beat them like a good team those showing the difference on the field and the score board not leaving doubts which team is better.

But you can't expect the media to get in the bandwagon and say well Washington has turn around until your team beats serious competition and shows it can play with the bigboys.

After this week game against Jax that will be the test.

I said a good team. MN isn't a Jacksonville, or and Indy. They're a decent team, don't get me wrong. But they aren't anything special.

Good point D'boyz, don't let people get under your skin here. A lot of us like the opposite view and how people who aren't blinded by the Burgandy feel. You and 5Rings often post very intelligent and good posts that don't get the respect they would get if they had a different icon.

yeah Daseal thxs but it comes with the territory you have to take the good with the bad and sometimes have fun with it.

But I really like posting here because if you take away the usual trash talks you get great feedback for most of the members, and I've notice that there are more members with a good insight and realistic view of their team and NFL in general that the usual blindsided by their passion of the team.
