Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
Is anyone familiar with Paulo Coelho's The Alchemist? Well, the reason I ask is because in the story, the protaganist travels far away from home in search of his destiny. Ultimately, he realizes that his destiny (symbolized by his treasure) is buried underneath the ground from where he began his journeys - at home.
My point in relating this parable is that I can't believe everyone is overlooking the brilliant solution to our problems in the secondary. Drum roll please.... Ade Jimoh Yes, that's right. In my estimation, in week 7, doctors will discover that Shawn Springs pussy has been irrevocably damaged and his career is over. Trailing 40-0 against the Colts, God tells Gibbs to insert future hall-of-famer Ade Jimoh into the starting lineup. Miracurously, he returns 8 interceptions for touchdowns in one game, breaking the NFL record by 6 touchdowns returned in a game (this is a guess) and we win the game 56-40. Championship... |

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
Give Ade a chance. We spend all that time developing players just to sign someone else right quick and let another team reap the benefits from our development.

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
For whatever reason, Gregg Williams doesn't think so.
I have a feeling that if Ade gets back into the lineup, it'll be like deja vu all over again. |

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
How can we all have been so blind?
:oink: The Ade does bring the pain when he tackles, so he gets additional kudos for that. |

First off, I'm surprised someone who would write a comment like this is capable of reading. Second, the post was an homage to the contributions of 'Ade Jimoh Fan Club', a guy who used to post here (who I haven't seen in a while). Sigh...idiots like canthetuna shooting their mouth off on this board. Were you kicked off extremeskins as well? |
Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
Sometimes, when the reality is grim all we can do is poke fun. That's what this thread was supposed to be about.
SARCASM PEOPLE!!! I didn't used to have to spell these things out on this board... |

Hey, I thought it was funny.
I'm glad someone used a the ADE instead of Jason Campbell (for a change) in a trip through fantasyland. Championship --- YYEESSSSSS. Cheers! |

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
I haven't herd his name all season. What is he doing? Last year he did step up in his coverages the few games he was asked to do so.

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
AJ Hawkins!

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
In the Super Bowl, Ade intercepts Carson Palmer's pass and returns it for a 104 yard touchdown - winning the game. The pass was intended for, of course, ...
TJ Who's your mama. Championship. Lock it up. |

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
on the serious side, i wonder why jimoh hasn't been on the field this year. our defense played alot better last year, and jimoh had some playing time. every once in a while made a play. i thought he made alot of improvement from the previous seasons
|
Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
The Ade Movement has nearly reached critical mass here at The Warpath. I look for Ade to build on his awesome downed punt play (which was predicted, if somewhat vaugely, by yours truly) on Sunday and breakout against the Titans. The Ade cannot be contained.

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes
i think it is stupid b/c whatever we say, if the coaches don't want him on the field, then he won't be. no matter what we say

Re: Solution to the Redskins Secondary Woes

Against the Cardinals last year (I think the league's top passing team) he played a GREAT game against WRs like Boldin. I think he has some game, I don't understand why he doesn't play more. |
