What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
I don’t know about you guys but Ray Brown is doing a horrible job as a post game commentator. Is that guy hooked up to a kool-aid IV behind that desk? If you never seen a game this year and BMitch was not commentating you would think its smooth sailing for the skins according to Ray Brown? Am I over reacting?

No. seriously though, ray brown is the homer counter-point to BMitch and Czab. otherwise the entire show would just be a gibbs/skins trash-fest, which might upset some people. |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
i dont mind brown at all. too much mitchell and czabin might be hard on the ears

yeah grillz, in case they want to try and run a sweep:)

Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
I like Brown, he offers a balance to Mitchell's overwhelming negativity. He also has offered some real insight into the Redskins of the recent past. I loved the insight into the whole Coles problem of 2004, you didn't get that from any other media!

Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
What did he say about Coles?
|
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
i've have yet to watch it.

Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
Brown is drinking the kool-aid to counteract all the hater-aid that Mitchell drinks.
I really think a part of Mitchell is still bitter about being let go. I can't really blame him, but I believe some of his "opinions" are a bit tainted at times. |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
i think he is still alittle bitter. but alot of his views seem like what alot of people are thinking. i like his analysis because, since Snyder is buying up just about everything to do with the skins, its hard to get an objective viewpoint. everyone tries to sugarcoat everything

I agree, Brown is the voice of reason within the four, and he counteracts BMitch. Chick just sits around at looks at walls. |

He's always been a critical dude. That's just the type of person he is |

Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
From Oct. 31st's Washington Post
"Former offensive lineman Ray Brown attended practice yesterday and is expected to join the organization as a consultant today." $10 bucks says he's starting at RG in 3 weeks ;) |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
I'll listen to anything that the great older skins have to say, be it Warren, Brown, B Mitch, JT, Jake, Bostic. It doesnt matter to me. They can tell you the story from the eyes of a real Skin. Ones that paid the price and won the gold.

Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
Ray Brown is fine. He tells it like it is. He's just not as abrasive as Mitchell or Czab. Plus he played on the team last year and I'm sure he is a bit tenative about how he critiques them. BMitch is still bitter at Snyder and Cerrato and it spills out on TV and his radio show.

BMitch's beef is much more so with Cerrato than with Snyder |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
I used to love how BMitch would get in a fight after every single play. Still one of my all time favorite Redskins.
What did he say about Coles?
He said that there were big problems in the locker room that year centered around Coles. LC apparently was very unhappy about the QB situation, the offense, and where & when he was getting the ball. Ray said that he made it known constantly. This may seem like no big deal, but if you remember we the fans were kept 100% in the dark about this at the time. I don't remember hearing anything about LC being disgruntled until the week they traded him. |

Since he was looking to take a position with the team. it wasn't likely he was going to say anything negative about the team in post game coments. A company man (if you will) who in actuality will always be grateful to the Redskins for rescuing him from Arizona years ago. |

I'd much rather listen to B-Mitch or Czabe ask a tough question than George Michaels toss marshmallow questions as players and coaches. Being critical of a team that spent freely in the offseason then loses home games to Minnesota and Tennessee is definitely warranted. |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
Mitchell is a bit too high strung for my taste. I didn't like the way he was let go but let's not make him out to be Sammy Baugh. He was a fine kick returner and he played with pride on a lot of LOSING teams (for the most part). Also, he fumbled against the 49ers in the playoffs in '93. May have cost us the game. I wish someone would ask him about that.

That fumble against the Niners was a bad QB/RB exchange, more Rypien's fault for not tucking the ball in than Mitchell's. The QB is usually credited for those type of fumbles since he was the last one to have possession before the ball was lost. As for BMitch the reporter, I always prefer someone with the courage to speak the truth. For those who prefer Redskins reporting filtered through rose-colored glasses, go see Larry Michaels and Casey Husband at Redskins.com. |

That just seems like his personality. |

I like George. He asks tough questions. However I would LOVE to see more of the blonde, Lindsay Czarniak. |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
Horse Michaels is a no talent disk jockey who fell ass backwards into a sportscasting gig. He must have dirt on the execs at NBC4.

Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
Don't be surprised to see George Michael join Larry Michael as part of Redskins TV/Radio by this time next year

Haha, that is awesome. I wanna hear George flip one day when is next to Larry. They seem to be the polar opposites. While Larry is a conformist and a tool, George pushes the buttons and asks real question. It would be an interest mix to say the least. |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
I've never thought of George as someone who asks the real questions per se. But anyway, I'm not just saying it 'cause George and Larry Michael sounds funny it's actually being discussed. Not saying it's going to happen but it's more likely than not.

I would think he is, in comparision to Larry. Larry is terrible, he is beyond boring, and he asks the worst questions. |

that was on rypien and people bring it up all the time. |
Re: What does Ray Brown Offer on Comcast?
I'm really dating myself but back in my first few years in college we didn't even have cable TV in the dorms. All we had for sports highlights back then was the Sports Machine late night on NBC, I didn't even know who George Michael was back then, LOL.
