Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
I did not hear this with my own ears but I found a thread about it on ES.
EXTREMESKINS.com - Gibbs - JC is ready to play Finally a vote of confidence for JC! |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
If he's ready to play, he should be in there. It would give the team a badly needed spark. And if he loses games...they're doing that anyway.

Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
This could be a good sign for us fans! Hurray!

Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!

Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
I would suspect this may mean he has moved to the #2 spot???
|
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
Cold Pizza today said people close to the situation said that Campbell has really instilled confidence in the coaching staff and has looked great. He has one more day.
I think we might see a QB change next week if Brunell continues to flounder. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
I Want It Now! :(
|
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
Kudos to Gibbs for using the bye week to get his young gun ready to go if necessary.
Let's not forget about what's important though. It's still Dallas week. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
I would suspect this may mean he has moved to the #2 spot???
Redskins.com has an article stating that the QB situation has not changed. MB#1, TC#2, and JC#3 so I dont know what to think.

Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
If Brunell starts slowly Sunday, FedEx will be hollering for Campbell. I'll be wearing my No. 17 jersey.
|
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
My mother is ready to play, that don't mean she's going to suite up and actually play. I mean, we all knew he can play, the question is will he play now. Gibbs isn't telling us what we already know.
|
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
If Campbell doesn't start we know we've thrown another game away.
|
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
I have heard for the last week or bits and pieces of comments regarding Brunell's health, and game condition. I wondered at the time if some groundwork were being layed. If they lose to D, Brunell's health may suddenly go south. MINE WILL

Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
Gibbs has been saying for quite some time now that Campbell is ready to play, and can win games for us, the trick is when will he make the decision to play him.
I think the glitch is with Al Saunders, he's hell bent on finding a way to get T. Collins in the games, and Gibbs want's to see what Jason can do despite his disdain for young QB's. It seems to me this situation would have been sorted out before Saunders was brought in, it's not like they were unaware of the QB situation that already existed here. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
ive got a semi right now
seriously awesome news...maybe campbell will atleast be 2nd string now |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
What will piss me off is that if we find out that Campbell is awesome after it's too little, too late.

I believe that would be Doug Williams. |

I would have thought Doug Williams. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
DMEK and Lady Brave YOU ARE BOTH CORRECT !!!!
TELL 'EM WHAT THEY'VE WON HERV !!!!! |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
Its a start. Now all we need is for DeMarcus Ware to hop on Brunell's back and break his leg.
|
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
One sack with a shot to Brunell's midsection and he isn't getting back up. If you've got sore ribs, any type of hit is NOT going to feel good.

No one should ever wish for a Theismann. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
Right you are Lady, that traumatized me at a young age. Plus it ended a mans carreer.
:oink:
i really wnat to see campbell play
a little too much apparently:) |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
If Campbell gets the nod what support do you think he will receive from Brunell and Collins. This won't be the first time Brunell has been replaced by a young, strong-armed QB and Collins is watching his chance of getting a start slip away. I know there won't be any outright hostility but does anyone know about the relationship between the two veteran QB's and our savior?
Hmm...I think I'm so excited about seeing him play that I'm developing a slight paranoia to cushion a possible disappointment that may ensue. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
Brunell is a class guy, I have no doubt he would (will) support Campbell.
As for Collins the dude has been a backup for the majority of his career. I don't see why he would become a diva out of nowhere. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
I totally agree about Brunell. There’s no way he would mess with the team chemistry and pout all week like Bledsow did. I think he will go out of his way to support J.C. Look what he did in the short time that Ramsey took the job. He acted with the utmost class the whole time.
|
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
He would probably end up fighting with Lindsay Lohan and try to steal her man.

In a story in today's WP, it says Bledsoe did react with class, at least according to Romo: Bledsoe never has been particularly fond of the mentor role. He didn't want to do it in New England for Tom Brady, and he didn't want to do it in Buffalo for J.P. Losman. The Patriots traded Bledsoe after winning a Super Bowl with Brady, and the Bills released him after deciding to go with Losman as their starter. Bledsoe wasn't happy with Parcells's decision to demote him but vowed not to make waves, and Romo said that Bledsoe approached him before the game Sunday and told him that he was rooting for him. "He's a very classy guy," Romo said. |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
guys it was supposed to be a joke but guess u didnt get what a semi was... lol
campbell getting majority of snaps in practice...i like this |
Re: Joe Gibbs: "Campbell is ready to play"!
Maybe if we're one game out of being eliminated from the playoffs Gibbs will put him in, since we have nothing to lose.
I just noticed me and Big C have the same number of posts. It's on. |
