Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
This just in: TO changed his t-shirt, ate a hamburger and spent the night spanking the purple-headed yogurt slinger.
The crap that parades as news these days is just unbelievable. |
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
maybe T.O wants to miss the game because he has sean tayloritis
|
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
"I talked to him one-on-one and said, 'I'm not trying to fall asleep. I've always been like that."
:bs: |
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
purple headed yogurt slinger! Instant classic

Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting

|
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
One mans' 'fatigue' is another mans' nap.

Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
This reminds me of Duane Thomas who played 2 years with the Boys. Let the team in rushing in 1970 & 71 and helped them get to the Super Bowl. Refused to speak to Tom Landry and the coaches in the '71 season and sat out the 1972 season. Called Landry "plastic man."
Played two years for the Redskins ('73-'74), but was nowhere near his Dallas performance; thus setting the pattern followed by Cowboy greats Norv Turner and Deion Sanders. Oh gawd, am I really old enough to remember that? |

So what you're saying is it's perfectly okay for zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ahem, mmm, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz huh? You say something? Five more minutes ma! zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... |
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
Didn't Riggo often do the same thing? I hate T.O., but I don't think that this is a big issue. From what I gather, many NFL players seem to do this during meetings. It's wrong, but common.

Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
This just in, "not to be out done, Mark Brunell has come out and admitted to sleeping during games!" This would explain a lot.

Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
Can't this guy just stay out of the news for 1 week?
Ugh I am so sick of him it's not even funny. |
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
TO stories remind me of JFK & Elvis, two people the world will never let die. Keep following TO around, keep pumping out the stories, we just love it, too bad you don't have anything else to do or write about.
Breaking News.....TO just went to the bathroom!!!! |
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
for someone that i dont know, i really cant stand T.O. matty, why dont we run a contest to see how long we can go WITHOUT talking about T.O. im really starting to get bored with the whole thing

Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
Sleeps in Tuesdays Meetings.....scores touchdowns on Sunday afternoons...
Hmmmmm, maybe the Redskins offense should try this tactic and end that 2-5 skid they are on. |

Carolina uses their front four to create pressure |

I'm willing to bet this happens with players all the time and has ben going on ever since players started watching game film during the week. And in TO's case, maybe resting his body is more important to his performance than preparation by watching film. Only he knows.

Does TO do nothing wrong in your eyes?? |
Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
Does TO do nothing wrong in your eyes??
No he does some things that are wrong, mainly not knowing when to shut up and stop speaking his mind. But he doesn't have some agenda to ruin every team he is on like ESPN slants everything. If you read my post carefully it says I didn't say it was right for him to fall asleep.

You said it wasn't right, but then you basically brushed it off by saying it's no big deal. I don't think it's a big deal either, I'm just sick of this attention whore. It's amazing that he's literally been in the news every week this season and each week it's about something different. I don't think he sets out to ruin the teams he's on, but at the same time he just can't help himself. He'll end up running himself out of Dallas too, it's inevitable. |

It's not like TO gets on his cell 10 minutes after the meeting to report this hot story that he just fell asleep. The media is so obsessed with keeping him the NFL's "Bad Boy" that they will report anything they can to make him look like an evil team wrecker. Exhibit A is this ridiculous thread. |

I'm not saying the media doesn't jump all over his every move, but at the same time he's just as guilty. He doesn't shy away from any of the attention that's for damn sure. Don't make him out to be an innocent victim because he's far from it. |

So because he isn't a shy person he's guilty? The media asks him these outrageous questions and he answers them the best he can, sometimes in a brutally honest manner. What he is guilty of is not being too 'touchy-feely' in the way he phrases some things. But what can he do when the media makes firestorms out of crap like being late to one meeting and falling asleep in film session. He's only freaking human... |

if T.O. did to my team what he did to the 49ers, i would be pissed at him for life |
if T.O. did to my team what he did to the 49ers, i would be pissed at him for life
He helped my team win a lot of football games. I don't blame him for leaving the sinking ship that was this franchise at the time.

yeah, thats exactly what i want my better players to do when the going gets rough, bitch and moan and jump ship. he might of been part of the problem, because he definitely wasnt part of the solution. |

Even great players have wanted that in their career's, Jerry Rice for one. TO is obviously very motivated to get a ring and I don't blame him for wanting to go somewhere where that would be possible because at the time looking at our salary cap situation it was clear that we weren't going to be competitive for a while.

Re: T.O Sleeps During Team Meeting
The fact of the matter is when you are constantly making a spectacle of yourself, you put yourself under a magnifying glass and that magnifying glass is going scrutinize the good AND the bad. No one put a gun to T.O's head and said do sit ups in your driveway for the press, say McNabb was tired during the Superbowl, insinuate that Jeff Garcia is gay - the list goes on and on. Sure players probably doze off in meetings but the ones that get away with it are the ones that aren't screaming "Look at me!!!" every five minutes.

Questions that insinuate bad qualities about his character. Listen to the questions they ask him most of the time, he just answers them truthfully to the best of his ability from what I hear. I mean some of the things he says may be offensive to people but the only thing I see wrong with what he says is that he doesn't know when to be PC on everything. Pretty much everything he has been criticized for has been something someone has suspected and asked him about and when he answers it he gets crucified for saying what he thinks. He doesn't fabricate crap to 'shake things up'. I don't think he is a bad guy and he has said some things that would have been better left unsaid but he isn't how the media has chosen his image to be shaped. And this 'Look at me' stuff you are talking about is just untrue. Just because the media chooses to show him all the time doesn't mean he asks for it. Guys who create spectacles every week to get attention are players like Chad Johnson.
