Jevon Kearse
I believe that the eagles will release jevon this offseason and i do believe that we will sign him especially since we came close to getting him two years ago. The reports stated that his knee is not as damaged as it appeared. We really need another pass rusher and I'm sure dwight freeney will not be available. I like the sound of dwight and andre at the ends but the colts are probably going to franchise him. Andre and Kearse is not bad either and draft a corner and a more mobile lg and stronger center. From what I seen yesterday rusher the passer is our biggest issue. We were close numerous of times but could not get to Romo before he threw the ball. What do you guys think.

Re: Jevon Kearse
NOOOOOOOO who needs an older player made out of glass??

Re: Jevon Kearse

Re: Jevon Kearse

I don't think we had any interest the first go around because if we wanted him, he would be here. The injuries are the concern. Is he going to sign for part time pay? As for Kearse/Andre. Carter is basically a platoon player on the line now. I say turn him into an outside LB. |
Re: Jevon Kearse
jevon kearse is an accident waiting to collect a fat paycheck,i think the skins have better since than sign him!
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
aging, will want a big salary, and injury prone. not a great combo at all
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
too many injuries. gotta pass on this one.
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
they aren't gonna release him
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
freeny has been getting blown up this season only has 1/2 sack i think.... I say draft a D lineman from michigan and call it a day no big names just quality players.
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
draft that guy outta clemson gaines
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
no no and more no's. old and injury prone. leave him sign with the giants
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
ugh no. he gets injured more than lavar.
|

that's what i'm saying. we'll probably have the right slot to make it happen too. |
Re: Jevon Kearse
Yeah, the "injury bug" bit him here in Nashville. Nah, don't sign him. He's already stealing a fat check in Philly!
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
Just need to draft a solid DE that can be coached up.

I think this is Burgess' second year with Oakland. Think he came from Philly.......and the Raiders paid him too.....some say overpaid. |
Re: Jevon Kearse
Sure sign everbody.
It's not like theres a salary cap to hinder any of these signings. Hey did anyone ever hear of the draft, supposedly some teams actually get players with talent from these so called colleges, just a thought. |
Re: Jevon Kearse
I really doubt we'd go after Kearse. Very injury prone, and we passed on him once already.
|

Or Quentin Moses out of Georgia - he looks like a Jevon Kearse clone. |

Re: Jevon Kearse
draft has 1-2 1st round DTs and 4 1st round DEs, including two that have a shot to go in the top 5-10 range (gaines and moses)... even with the learning curve, i think that's really the best way to go... crosby at Kicker would be great too, but we won't really have a shot at him.
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
Build through the DRAFT!
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
I wonder where we ARE going to go with our first round pick. Say we have the cash to sign Nate Clements and fill our CB need, where do we go next? I think our offense (hopefully) is set with Jason Campbell. I'm thinking stud DT since Griffin and Joe aren't exactly young anymore. Griff is in his prime, but I also wonder about how Golston and Montgomery would be with another year under their belts.

Yeah with Golston and Montgomery I don't see DT has a major need, Golston especially seems like he may be starting material next year. |
Re: Jevon Kearse
is this Nate Clements kid good? I would really love to get a great CB again.

I thought you wanted to build through the draft? |
Re: Jevon Kearse
Kearse is changing careers? No longer has time for the NFL. He must be going on the "Pro Bass Tour" as he was in Fort Myers the other day for the much anticipated opening of the new FM "Bass Pro shops".
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
We do need a pass rushing end still, but the last thing this team needs is another big dip into free agency. They need to work on gelling the changes they made last year rather than another reshuffle. It's no coincidence that since Snyder came aboard the years when the Redskins have done the best are the years that that took it easy in free agency.

Re: Jevon Kearse
Kearse? I really do sometimes wonder about the IQ level in here.
|
Re: Jevon Kearse
Well, now that we've kind of gone through the options, I don't see why we SHOULDN'T take a chance on a DE with our first round pick. I mean what else would we use it on?

Corner or safety? |
Re: Jevon Kearse
DBs are weak this year, there's 2 fairly safe picks at DE and a safe LB (posluszny) that would both address needs. honestly if you want to ensure a true #1 CB, clements is the way to go, though he'll be REAL expensive :/. I guess we could go OT with our #1, but i'd not so sure jansen is done yet, despite some counter opinions...

I'm assuming we'll sign Clements if it's not "too" steep. Safety might be a good bet. |

I don't know if he's done quite yet, however, I think we should look at some low round talent on the offensive line. |

Well, then again PRAY-low will be back and GW likes Reed too, so who knows. |
