If You Could Play Any Position......
..........which one would you want to play?
personally i would play linebacker and hit some mofo's what would you and why? |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
The Lotus Position...wait, I mean...
DB. My favorite play in football is an INT returned for a TD |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Quarterback w/o question....although Sean Taylor has really turned me onto the Saftey position.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Quarterback...Look at Peyton Manning or Michael Vick. A good quarterback can become the image of not only a franchise but the entire league. I want that.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
safety...nothing feels better than hitting people. I was too small to play football, so I settled for Lacrosse, but without a doubt safety, with a little punt returning.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Definetly a O Lineman i mean thats the best, blocking athletic ends and huge tackles and then getting blamed for not opening holes as wide as a truck and letting the QB get shitted on, whats better hahahha, nah definetly a Wide Reciever i'd love the feeling of catching a big TD
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
quarterback... i like to be in control of things and i dont mind taking the blame if i f*ck up
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
QB- Chicks dig the long toss. face of the franchise. $$$.
Linebacker or Safety- Big hits |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
H-Back. Get to hit people and score TDs. Good times.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
It was awesome, I got to play both WR and LB in high school. I was the smallest LB in the league probably, but man was it fun...
Except the one game we played a team with a 270 pound FB that just busted my ass every play. He had like 240 yds or something crazy. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Punter.
I'm not very big! Seriously, I always wanted to play safety or CB, preferrably safety...why? I was an awesome defender (point guard) in basketball. Covering a WR without touching him much is not much different than guarding someone on the court. I never went out for the team though. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Running back.....a physical one. Kinda like Jerome Bettis. But I would also like to be able to break one here and there.
|

I concur, plus you get to have sex with two really hot redskins cheerleaders |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
TE.
I always liked playing on the line and mixing it up with the big boys, but I also had pretty good hands too. I played both ways in high school, center and DE, but I started out at TE and got moved due to injuries to other guys. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
I would play bathroom stall last year for the two Panthers cheerleaders. Yesssssss.
|

I shouldn't talk, I wrestled all throughout high school. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
I'd play DE. I played DE and TE in high school and had a blast playing at the end of the line. You can get a way with murder if youre being blocked, and if not, you get to blow up a play in the backfield.
I punched a tackle so hard one time right below the ribcage (just underneath the padding of the shoulder pads, that spot thats sure to knock your breath out every time)that when he came back up after catching his breath he had to be escorted off the field... he was ready to murder me. Enter his backup... I had my best game... lol. I scored a Defensive TD in that game on a 47 yard strip-the-QB-and-run-your-ass-off play. I miss playing. |

I never got called for it either LOL. I always wanted a Dave Butz helmet and I came pretty close. |

Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
One of my favorite moments, and I know this may sound bad, but it was when I decked our QB in practice once. The kid was always so arrogant, and I had a nice clean shot on him and totally laid him out. He had tears in his eyes and he got the wind knocked outta him. It was funny because our coach was pissed but I think he kinda liked the hard hit too.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
I always loved that too. The QB was always a prima donna bitch when I played. When he scrimmaged the first team D, we didn't give a SHIT if he was wearing a red jersey.

Seriously though, that's a tough sport.[/QUOTE] My dad was really good when he was in high school, so he started me on a team when I was 6, so I was jsut used to it. So of the moves can be pretty fruity, but it's a good sport to know when you get in a fight. Also, because of wrestling for so long (even though I was probably about .500 all through HS) I am almost impossible to dunk in a pool; so I got that going for me, which is nice. As for football, I was too small to play in highschool but I played Pop Warner growing up. When I was in third and fourth grade I went to Art Monk football camp. I think I played o-line and DB back then, which really made no sense at all. I wish I had played linebacker of TE though, I think those would have been the most fun. |

I hit one of the bitch coaches in drills when I was in JR high... and knocked him on his ass... he had no pads. I went to school in TX, so I got a freaking SPANKING. with a board with holes in it... lol... f'in texans... Did you ever get anyones fingers stuck in your facemask and twist around, or head but them with their hand and try to break it? |

But pa so that's how they done did it in the olden days and all whatnots. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Safety or Linebacker. I've played every defensive position outside of cornerback, and knocking the ever living hell out of people was always the best part.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
I wouldn't play a position. I would play GM and start cleaning house.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Out of ALL the positions I played, kickoff team was the most fun. If you're fast enough you are sprinting full speed by the time the poor front line of kick return turns around. You can blind side the SHIT out of people on that.

not gonna lie, i'm glad the skins first team D doesn't do that to brunell- or am I? |

I wasn't a big fan of my teams quarterback either. I think being a prima donna is a prereq to be a high school quarterback. The funny thing is, the guy was pretty cool before we got into high school. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
And they always have names like Ian, Colin or Chase.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
For the excitement I'd play KR/PR or even RB but if I had to pick right now, knowing what I know, I'd go with Kicker. No pain, career longevity, greater "hero of the game" potential, decent paycheck and if you're good enough you're not out of a job for long.

Dude, you are spot on. Chase and Graham ... the two QBs I played with through the years ... both were collar poppers, and total prima donnas. I played football in Texas too, so the competition was very tough. I played DB and WR, but I was only average. DB was probably the best, because it was very challenging. However, if I could choose, I would choose safety. You get to hit and cover. Such a nice balance -- not much glory though. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
Tailback all the way.
|
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
HA! Awesome, Graham is without a doubt a douchebag QB name. Not that anything is wrong with any of the aforementioned names (except Colin, I've never met a Colin I liked) unless you happen to be a QB.
And yes, they ALL were collar poppers. For some reason you never have a "Good Ol' Boy" QB. |

I think he was eventually a captain for syracus' football team. I guess he was the Graham expection. |

I playd ST's kickoffs and punts when I was a freshman and thats the absolute worst I ever hit anybody.... and it was every time... huge collisions running full force and just slaughtering someone... hell yeah I miss that. |
Re: If You Could Play Any Position......
I would have to play DE. The game is won and lost in the trenches, and its fun talking smack to the fat boys
