The Office - (Spoiler of Joke Included)

Did anybody watch The Office last night? That may have been my favorite practical joke Jim has ever played on Dwight.

Jim: Just before I left Scranton, I grabbed some of Dwight's stationary, it's got his name and address and everything. So I've been sending him faxes... from himself... from the future.

Dwight: (reading fax) Dear Dwight, don't drink the coffee, it has been poisoned. Signed, Future Dwight.

That should be repeated across the Nation today. Pranks are fun.

That is my second favorite show on TV right now (next to Prison Break). And honestly, I usually don't get into the drama part of comedies, but I even enjoy that. But yeah, I'm going to have to say I hope that Jim bangs the other chick. Hell, why not both of them?

Word, PB is amazing.

I want to see Jim and Pam work out. But more so, I want to see Jim mess with Dwight again on a daily basis.

Did you notice that Jan hastily offered Jim the #2 position at Scranton? Guess who currently holds that position... DWIGHT.

Should get REAL funny.

Re: The Office - (Spoiler of Joke Included)

The thing I like about The Office is they have this little drama between Jim and Pam, but they don't let it dominate the show. It's like a little side story.

I hate when shows get too dramatic about stuff like that, it takes over the show and gets stupid.

He's assistant TO the regional manager, so how does that work out? Won't Jim be Dwight's boss?

Don't worry - the show's not "over" till somebody has a kid. That's the kiss of death.

The other chick in Jim's new office is actually the daughter of Quincy Jones in real life.

Rashida Jones is so much hotter than Pam.

Dwight Shrute has to be the best character on tv right now.

The Office just keeps getting better, easily my favorite show on TV right now.

All of Jim's pranks are the best. Office supplies in jello, moving Dwight's desk an inch at a time until he was 2 feet closer to the copier...but the best is definitely the stationary one.

Actually, he was promoted in one episode to Assistant Regional Manager.

This is my favorite show on TV, too! I hope it stays around for years to come...

The Office renews my faith in humanity. that such a cleverely mundane and nuanced comedy show is number one on NBC just makes me think we as humanity have a chance.

it's absolutey brilliant, even more brilliant when you consider how its been made so american, considering the UK original. hard to imagine that Ryan, the former temp, is actually the executive producer/writer.

only problem: yeah Rashida Jones is just too smoking to disguise, as hard as she tries - shes impressed me with her acting - to be normal but cute (like Pam) she still just doesn't belong in that office.

that Call of Duty episode had me on the floor.

Yeah, I mean I must say, I saw Pam on The Tonight Show and when she gets dressed up, she's HOT. Rashida is dressed up hot all the time.

I definitely agree, I'm actually very surprised that it's become a hit. The first few times I saw it I thought there's no way that enough people 'get' this show for it to last. I'm pleasantly surprised that it broke through to the masses.

"The Merger"
Just watching it today from DVR. The best scene is when the new black guy looks over at Stanley and pounds his chest. Stanley just looks back at his desk. F-in priceless.
Oh damn, Dwight and Michael putting the big dude up on the table, another funny scene.

For the most part I've ignored this thread because I've been slacking on season 3 and I want to see all of it, in order.

Anyhow, I've been watching this since day 1 (I was pumped for my name is earl, but got addicted to this show). Anyhow, is the show over? From what Ive heard they did get downsized. I dont want too many spoilers, but a basic gist of whats happening. (If it's a huge twist, try not to let me know!)

[small spoiler]

Basically, Jim got promoted to the other branch.... this season has been split b/t showing the aftermath of the Scranton branch and introducing the new characters in the Stamford branch. The entire season was expertly formatted as a set up to last night's 'Merger' episode... I don't want to give too much away, but you'll have to see how the new guys meld with Scranton's... the writing has been a stroke of genius.
