Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Hmmmm, there are so many!??!
.. I think it will be Lloyd! |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
id agree. its goign to be one of the speed guys.
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
THAT's the spirit...welcome back!
:httr: |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
anyone but Betts. Campbell knows he has to attack if there's any chance of winning.
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
i think the entire gameplan changes this week. if we had portis, id say, barring a TOTAL campbell letdown, we put up 25+ points. im going to go ahead and make a bold prediction.
two receivers have 100+ yards. if anything, moss/lloyd has 100+ and cooley/randle el have 70+. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
that's a bit overly optimistic. He won't get that many off. Interception for sure....

Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
yeah, im making it bold now, so that ill look like a genius if it happens.
if im speaking with my brain, i say he overthrows a few receivers early on and then settles into a groove and completes 55-60% of his passes with a TD and an INT. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
He may complete more to Tiki’s brother than the Skins wide outs.
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
God bless him if he can get the ball to Moss. That man makes magic when he catches a ball!
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
I think he'll start a connection with Moss.
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
it's cooley. the TE is always the qb's favorite target
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
cooley HAS been wide open a lot down the field this year. seriously, even though i dont expect playoffs AT ALL, im at preseason hypedness right now.
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
more than anything id love to see a receiver actually be WIDE OPEN in the end zone a la Chad Johnson.. its like we never have that happen
if we make a huge catch downfield its because the WR makes a hell of a play on the ball. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Cooley!
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Whoever the hell is open for god's sake.
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Buck Ortega!
I think early on someone like a James Thrash who always knows where to be is a young QB's best friend/fave receiver |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
i was talking with someone via AIM today and theyre thinking patten also gets some looks. if he spreads the ball around like romo does (even though i hate that little bastard) were going to be fine. our WRs are INSANE playmakers.

i know! |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
I think right now the most important pass will be the quick slant/dump off. Teams are going to be blitzing the hell out of JC, and he's got to hit his hot routes.
So far I haven't been impressed by the play calling by Saunders. We need more than a Betts swing under pressure, and hopefully Campbell has a new gameplan. JC's fav, will be Cooley. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
honestly ill TAKE a quick slant. those are going for decent yardage and theyd go even further if brunell could hit them in STRIDE.

Campbell was really good at throwing on the run (at least in college he was). I imagine that this is the week where we go back to Gibbs smashmouth type football....pound the rock and mix in some playaction.....to keep the pressure off JC |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
How about the guy with the team receiving record. Seems like a decent choice.
|
I think early on someone like a James Thrash who always knows where to be is a young QB's best friend/fave receiver
I'll take Thrash to, unless he doesn't make it onto the field on Offense, then I'll take Cooley. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Whoever the hell is open for god's sake.
That's how a favorite target becomes a favorite, by getting open, and making plays. For a young QB starting his first game in the NFL to go into a game thinking about a favorite target would be odd, one will have to emerge. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Cooley...he can get open and has good hands...and will be a good safety valve. if i must pick a WR, moss is the easy choice...
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
good thread ;)
it's probably going to be moss, simply because he's so clearly above the rest of the WR corp. cooley and thrash should help him settle in though. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Pick a guy, any guy, as long as it's not a RB on a swing pass.
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
i pick moss, my favorite 'skin
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
i pick moss, my favorite 'skin
He emerged as Brunell's favorite. |

The great thing about the cover two, is that will never be open. |

longtime going out on a limb by saying this?:) |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
i think lloyd , he will help him out with him amazing off the wall catches
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
brandon lloyd
|
longtime going out on a limb by saying this?:)
VTskins897 wrote "I pick moss, my favorite skin" I said he emerged as Brunell's favorite. I think where I was trying to go was, when Moss first came, I don't think Brunell just said "Moss is going to be my favorite guy" I think Moss just continued to get open and make plays, therefore he emerged as Brunell's favorite target because he was reasonably sure he would make a play. |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
hopefully he will find the open receiver 9x,s out of ten:goodjob:
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
unfortunatly for this game...the grass or the gatorade table...I think cooley in the long run though
|
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
50+ yards downfield Moss...then Lloyd
30-50 yards Randel El....Thrash 20-40 yards Cooley 10-20 yards Betts/Sellers/Cartwright |
Re: Who will be JC's favorite receiver??
Chris. Cooley.
Except that would be too intelligent. I don't think theres any reason he doesn't look to Moss on a quick out first play Sunday and lets it build from there. |
