Can we shop Brunell?

total pie-in-the-sky scenario, but if we are gonna go with Campbell and have Collins as a mediocre backup, can we trade Brunell? What would we even get for him, a 2nd or 3rd rounder at best? A team like GB could really use Brunell right now (see story about Aaron Rodgers below).

If we could trade him, I would trade him to Green Bay for their rookie LB. Forgot his name though. That guy probably knows his name....

But thats wishful thinking....

You know what could be interesting, Brunell to Atlanta mentoring Vick.
sorry, I know that, should have explained as hypothetical scenario...if this had happened earlier.
How about.....Brunell and a first to the 49ers for Taylor Jacobs and a 7th?

Its clear to me that losing the key to our offense this year has the whole team in a funk. Bring back TJ!!!!!

Yeah, Brunell for the 6th overall pick. That makes sense...

Thanks for starting this thread, it gave me a bit of a chuckle. Then you said 2nd or 3rd round pick and it became a roaring laugh.

With the Redskins luck, Brunell will catch on with another team next year and somehow will play against us and have a carrer day.

wheres that other thread about moving taylor to LB, mabye we should just move brunell to safety. hes gotta be good at reading QBs, that or he can play QB spy and guard against the dumpoff pass

If we can't get rid of Brunell and if ( I don't really know for sure though) it wouldn't cost us as much to keep him as opposed to dumping him, why not keep him as a back up?

Re: Can we shop Brunell?

I, for one, would strongly support trading Brunell to Green Bay for AJ Hawk. Both teams win. We solidify our LB core, they get their Favre replacement. Hopefully Vinny can get the ball rolling on this one soon.

Why stop at Hawk? We could get Charles Woodson too.

I guarantee Brunell has value to team that has some blocking, and needs some stability at the QB position. Vinnie is 43................and working................in the NFL.............as a QB

brunell was considering retirement before this season started. but... maybe we can trade him to philly, seeing all of a sudden they need a quarterback( chuckle, chuckle)

It's not likely anyone would trade for Brunell. We have told the whole world (as if they can't see for themselves) that he's done, so why would anyone consider trading for him?

Now, when we consider how JG feels about him, I could see him restructering his contract to slightly more than the vet minimumn and returning to the team as a backup. I don't know that he would accept that, or how well Jason Campbell would take to Brunell being there to oversee his development.

Brunell for a giant ball of lint? Nah, they probably wouldn't go for it. Maybe if we throw in some draft picks.

bruenell will retire at seasons end. we need to draft a third string qb in the last round or pick up a league minimum f.a

Re: Can we shop Brunell?

Look at MB numbers I mean come on...he can demand a 1 and 2 round pick with cash and high profile free agents. I mean look at his game against the Titans!! I never seen such good quarterbacking in my life. He was dinking and dumping like he was from another planet. He plays so smart throwing the no risk 3 yard out pass or when he throws the deep ball cocking his arm like a cannon to throw the ball 30 yards its amazing.

Re: Can we shop Brunell?

This has to be the dumbest thread ever started, EVER. OK, keeping with the theme, hey maybe we can trade John Hall for someone's first round pick too. Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket! Im sure the Packers would let go of AJ Hawk for MB, then we trade Hall to someone, but who? Oh yeah, we can trade our kicker to San Diego for Shawn Merriman!!!! What a great idea! Ok, Im going back to the fort in my room built out of quilts and use the red phone to call Vinny. WE ARE ALL SAVED!!!
