Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Happy Thanksgiving. I live in Japan and there isn't a single Turkey in this entire country. When I ask people about it they say, Turkey, oh wait, isn't that that big chicken? That thing is incredible!
Anyway, happy thanksgiving to everybody. It hasn't been the season we all anticipated but I guess this is the one day we can put football in proper perspective (tomorrow I go back to wanting to kill Adam Archuletta and then myself). |
Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Was going to start a new thread but found this one.
Any plans this year? We are heading to Philly for a dinner at house with 25 adults and 15 kids, went last year it sucks. Barely get any food, maybe have one beer (too long of a drive home), can't see the TV, and end up sitting on the floor most of the day. It sucks and it is way to many people. |
Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
This thread could have totally been made today...then I read djnemo's post about Adam Archuletta :)
Since we always go to my folks for Thanksgiving and there are never any leftovers (My Mom hates leftovers and has it down to a science as to how much food to make), my wife and I are having a 2nd Thanksgiving meal on Friday just so we can have leftovers. Bought a turkey boob the other day that we'll make along with stuffing, mashed taters, green bean casserole, and cranberry out of a can. Saturday I'll stuff myself full of turkey sandwiches, then going to the Skins game on Sunday. |
Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Happy Thanksgiving and stay safe everybody! Here's to a great day filled with turkey, football, and family/friends having a good time.
I'm pretty excited, this year my dad is going to deep fry the turkey, which I've never had before. In previous years' it's always been stuck in the oven, so I can't wait to try it out. And thank goodness we're not driving anywhere this Thanksgiving, the only time driving is worse in the DMV area is around the major holidays, last year a normal half hour-10 mile commute from work to home took me over an hour and a half because of the extra traffic. |
Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Cajun deep fried turkey! My uncle does 2 every Thanksgiving. Can't wait!
|
Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Fried turkey is some serious good eats.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
According to 98% of the ads on TV this week is only about one thing: Black Friday. So, I hope you all have a great Black Friday Eve Feast! Be safe and stuff your gullet til you can't see colors anymore.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
im going to west virginia for my lady's family thanksgiving. they do the full soul food buffet. its amazing. they also make her wait on me hand and foot, make my plate and all that jazz. they know how to treat a man. i love it, she abides.

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Fried Turkey is where it's at. A buddy of mine and I used to fry turkeys for Salisbury/Frostburg tailgates. I can't remember if AMD ever partook in them or not, but they were money.
I've had smoked turkey breast as well, and it's awesome. But I prefer deep fried for a whole turkey... |

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Happy stuff yourself silly day everyone! lol
I'm very thankful this year... got some great news on Tues. that my Dad is cancer free. He's had a long rough road this year, had surgery back in the spring and just finished up chemo and radiation. His latest full body CT scan says he's in the clear. He kicked cancer's ass! He had cancer in the bile duct, one of the more deadly ones if not caught early. |
Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
THAT's big MK! Nothing bigger......we all have something to be thankful for
Happy Thanksgiving to all....HTTR |

I was feeling good because we saved an owl last night that was in busy intersection but thats nothing compared to your news. Not sure how the owl got there but we got it out of the road and to someone who rescues animals. It looked very disorented at first but was looking pretty good when she picked up the owl. She is going to send us some picks of the owl to let us know how its doing and I'll post them. Once again thats great news and even though I don't know you personally it made my thanksgiving that much better hearing that news. F*** CANCER. |

Great stuff. I'm definitely thankful this year. 2010 has probably been the best year of my life thus far. I have so many blessings, and yesterday was a great time to eat great food, be with family, and express some gratitude for my health and happiness. Hope everyone had a great day yesterday. Cheers. |

Re: Happy Thanksgiving!!!
That's hella great news Matt !
My impression of Matt's Dad having a conversation with Cancer the night he found out. Well not mine but....it serves the purpose. YouTube - Pulp Fiction |
