Saints-Cowgirls game
Of course I started Marion Barber this week, and Jones gets the 77 yard run.
BTW, can someone tell Al Michaels that "Orleans" only has 2 syllables. It's not "Orr-lee-ans". OK, it's N'awlins if you talk to someone who's from there, but that's another issue entirely. |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
Saints are looking good so far
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
21-7 saints at half
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
So, remind me again what all that crap about the Cowboys being the best NFC team, and the Saints sucking lately was, again?
Oh, and wasn't Romo the second coming of Fricking Staubach? Riiiiiiiiiiiight. |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
Reggie Bush is amazing. And did anyone hear Al Michael say" unless your a Houston Texans' fan and you must be saying what the hell did we do?" Can he say that? and it was hilarious.
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
The Saints look extremely intimidating in those all black uniforms.
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
How can you not root for the Saints? Tonight, or any week this season? It's their destiny to win the Super Bowl this year, for so many reasons. Then they'll go back to being a normal football team without super powers, and it will be perfectly acceptable to root against them.
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
From the looks of this game, I guess the Saints will destroy us next Sunday. We're a sad excuse for a team right now. I hop some good can come out of our last three games.

Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
LMFAO! Did the Saints onside kick, and get it back? With a huge lead? And just score AGAIN???
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
So much for "The Cowboys and The Romosexuals."

Talk about zero defense..geesh getting shredded in their own house....well...maybe it's a neutral site? Sounds like 20,000 Saints fans are there... |

This is exactly what I have been saying about how Betts impressive performance the past few weeks is GOOD for us, and it doesn't mean we trade CP, for God's sake. Thing is, I can totally see Portis playing a Reggie Bush-type role and Ladell playing a Deuce-type role next season, to GREAT success. And we've finally got a QB who can throw far enough to make that happen... |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
You know Madden, he has to blow somebody! It's his fuel source.

Tough day for the on-air QB knob-slobbing brigade... Brady got spanked, and Romo's getting housed, but I guess since Favruh won a meaningless game at the Niners and didn't throw a single pickle (come on Walt!) they've all been busy servicing Brett... Nice to see The Freak back in uniform for the Niners, and making an impact, too. |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
Another Nice dropped pass T.O.! After the season, somebody has got to put together a highlight real of Owen's dropped balls this year.
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
TO is horrible at catching balls over his shoulder.
|
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
Really makes the redskins look silly, doesn't it. Here we have 4 former headcoaches, and 3 former coordinators on our coaching staff, and in New Orleans, Sean Payton and his no name coaching staff have taken a bunch of largely no-name players to the playoffs in outstanding fashion.
Shows what a good QB can do. Brees is f....g unreal as a QB. |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
I would say it shows what good team chemistry can do. A lot of those guys there in New Orleans have been there for a long time, and let's face it, the whole Katrina tragedy has had a big impact on this team. These guys are playing like a cohesive unit. That's more powerful than any high-powered free agent or coach.

Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
Completely agree about Brees. But it also helps when you have a competent GM in Mickey Loomis--hires Payton, signs Brees, gets lucky with Bush, finds Colston.
Also--what a masterful job in calling a game by Payton. Totally bamboozled Parcells... |

I think this is a textbook case of a blind squirrel finding a nut. I think Payton was a desperation hire, and the man has done a brilliant job. It also helped that Miami made an obvious error in judgement in trading a 2nd for Culpepper when Brees wanted to be there, consequently forcing Brees to sign in New Orleans. All that said, Payton has done a brilliant job building this team up from the ground in one season. Unfortunately, I don't expect any less from them next week as they attempt to lock up a bye. |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
By the way, Colston seems like the consummate one-hit wonder guy. It's a great feel-good story, being a pick (or was it two) away from Mr. Irrelevant and then just going off, like in serious contention for R.O.Y. honors (if not for your own TEAMMATE, of all people), but...
Then he goes down with that sprain and it's like "oh, right, here's some guy named Devery Henderson, ding, 100+yds and a TD". The next game, Terrance Copper for 80 yards and a score, etc. I seriously think Rod Gardner could put up 150 yards and a TD in that offense. |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
Do you smell that? Smells like Roy "Road Kill" Williams. He got twisted tonight.

Quite possibly, though I don't see how you can not vote for LT. How many games have the Bolts been on the verge of losing or outright been losing, and then LT just willed them to win, by carrying them on his shoulders, kicking and screaming, into the endzone. Or catching. Or throwing. Or blocking. From a fantasy football standpoint it's almost unfair to the point that I think dudes need to enact a special "LT tax" for anyone who drafts him. |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
Looks like a certain team in Texas started to believe all of ther press clippings, from the Coaching staff on down to Marteeen Gramatica.
I saw that Suisham was 4-4 for you guys today. He probably got you a ton of touchbacks also didn't he? as Parcells says - but no one heard this week - you can't hopscotch 'em. Dallas was already dreaming about Miami. |

If you are implying that he has had some luck (especially around Bush) then I agree he has had some. But it does take some competency to go 4 for 4 on these personnel calls. Of course, it takes a real genius to throw 10 million each at 4 FAs and end up with a donut... |
Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
nice D, only problem with the saints win is i can't keep saying to all the cowgirl fans....oh yeah well who was the last team to beat them?.....oh well it is going to be at least 9 more months of the skins beating them in their last game......and 3 of 4.........hopefully they will choke away the playoffs too.....

Re: Saints-Cowgirls game
It will be interesting to see how much TO unravels after getting shellacked. Especially if the C-girls lose to Miami next week. While there was plenty of blame to go around this week, Romo looked fairly befuddled, so he's an easy target for TO.
