Who's the MVP
Who is this years MVP: LT, Brees, Jason Taylor,or my choice Devin Hester? He is the best player on may the best team. But with LT breaking records he will probably win rookie of the year.
|
Re: Who's the MVP
Redskins MVP is Ladell Betts.
|
Re: Who's the MVP
LT or Brees. My choice is Brees because San Diego would be pretty good with Turner but how can you pick against LT? Brees has put that team on his back and they are playing great.

What about Rock for the skins MVP |
Re: Who's the MVP
I'd say Brees too
|
Re: Who's the MVP
LT. 29 TD's in 13 games and they are the likely #1 seed in the AFC.

LT would be very hard pressed to not get MVP, they arent going to give it to a rookie over LT. With that beign said, the bears are also a #1 seed so that doesnt make your argument better for LT over Hester. And Hester has made them win a few games because grossman sure as hell doesnt help them win. I dont even know if Hester will get rookie of the year though, young, colston both are having good years. as is bush. |
Re: Who's the MVP
Easy. The fan base for sticking with this underachieving team.
|
Re: Who's the MVP
it's easily gonna be Brees or more than likely Tomlinson especially if LT keeps up the pace he's on. The only person I would think has a chance from the Bears would be Urlacher, but this is just really a 2 horse race.
|
Re: Who's the MVP
Brees would get my vote.
Sticking with the 'most valuable' description, there's no way New Orleans is where they are without Brees. San Diego could probably still be right in the thick of things with another back. LT has been amazing, but Brees has taken that entire team on his shoulders. |

It's a huge copout, but I can't think of a better use of the "let's share it" plan, than Brees-LT. All the better because they're ex-teammates! |
Re: Who's the MVP
Well, the player having the best season in the NFL is LaDainian Tomlinson, but I think you have to wait these final 3 weeks before picking the MVP. A lot can happen in 3 weeks, or the last fifth of the season, but don't count out a darkhorse like a Carson Palmer or a Larry Johnson if the Chiefs make a run either.
This moment, the MVP of the league is Brees, but in the words of Charlie Weis, "you are always remembered by how you finish." |

I think playing in Jacksonville is part of it, but how can this guy get so little pub? He's averaging 6.1 YPC. Dear lord. |
Re: Who's the MVP
"Who Dat" gonna win that MVP "Who Dat" .... BREES dat who!!!!!!
|
Re: Who's the MVP
Frank Gore :homer:
Brees... |
Re: Who's the MVP
LT hands down. San Diego without LT would have 7 wins or so right now...LT is a HUGE factor. The biggest value to ANY team anywhere. Brees is big, yes, but no LT.
PS- Jones-Drew is the new Barry Sanders...what a delight to watch. |
Re: Who's the MVP
If I was a betting man, I would take the sure bet and bet that LT takes home the MVP. The biggest reason why LT, IMO, will get the nod of MVP is because of the publicity he is getting for breaking records.
I don't know where San Diego would be with out him, but I would be pretty confident to say that they would have more than 7 wins with Mike Turner in thier backfield. I mean LT gets the TD's but people offten forget that he has one of the best fullbacks in Lorenzo Neal plowing the way for him. Hell even LT admits that his success is in part to Neal paving the the way for him. With that being said I believe that Brees deserves the nod for MVP. He basicly put that team on his back this whole season. My biggest argument for Brees is this, put Aaron Brooks back on the Saints at QB with Coleston, Horn, Bush, McAllister. Would the Saints with Brooks be where they are at now? I highly doubt it, hell even with the current back up QB the Saints are no where close to the same team. If Brees was on pace to break Mannings single season TD record then I think that there would be alot of hype around Brees. But the fact of the matter is, is that Brees is getting it done quietly and maybe getting overlooked... |

Re: Who's the MVP
Very close between LT and Brees, but if I'm voting I give the nod to Brees due his bounce-back from an injury to his throwing arm.
|
Re: Who's the MVP
LT will run away with it. The reason why I favor him over Brees is because the defense is looking for LT on every single play, and he still does his thing. Also, it's not like he's just accumulating stats, it's the fashion in which he does it. In other words, LT will win because of 'style points'.
It's just wild to think the Chargers had/have all that talent on one roster. I remember when I lived in San Diego for some years the fans there would constantly bash the GM and owner, but in hindsight it looks like this guy knows his job. |
Re: Who's the MVP
Pierson Prioleau! Made the playoffs with him in 2005, won't make it without him in 2006. Case closed!
|
Re: Who's the MVP
Devin Hester, isnt he a nickle corner? you gotta be kidding me. Every year, one of those bears Special teamers tears it up (a lot to do with blocking).
LT hands down. He should be the MVP even if he sat out the last three weeks. NO DEFENSE IN THE LEAGUE CAN STOP HIM, I can't remember the last time I said that about a player. Brees is awesome this year, but Peyton's numbers are right with his (except for yardage). |

Yeah but you forgot that Peyton is the NFL's "GOLDEN CHILD"... |
Re: Who's the MVP
How can anyone say Brees over Tomlinson??
Tomlinson has scored more TDs in 13 games than anyone else has in a FULL SEASON. He's on pace to set a Joe DiMaggio-esque record. He's a threat to run, block, throw, and catch. Brees has been valuable, but don't forget the Saints hit on the ROY, Marques Colston. They've also got Bush opening up space in the offense. The bottom line, Tomlinson is head and shoulders the best back in the league this year. Brees MIGHT be the best QB, but even if you think he's the top QB, you still must admit that Peyton Manning is right with him. The one guy separating himself is LT. |

I don't agree at all. He has a healthy Deuce McAllister, Reggie Bush, ROY Marques Colston, Joe Horn is still a threat, and a bevy of other WRs. Sean Payton came into that team and injected a real NFL offensive scheme. Brees has been great, but it's not like he doesn't have crazy weapons. |

I don't even think Brees is the most valuable QB in the league, let alone MVP. |

What was their ecord last year? It was 4-12. As of now it's 7-6. What was our record last year? It was 10-6. We could finish 4-12. Ramsey is the key. |
Re: Who's the MVP
Ramsey is my guiding light, he holds the key to my life and a redskins victory.........oh yeah, and he has a SEXY ROCKET ARM

Re: Who's the MVP
I can't believe what I'm hearing. You think the Chargers would be where they are without LT? Get out of hereeee!!! When teams play the Chargers they play LT first and the rest of the team second. Can you say teams play Brees first? Rivers would be swimming with the fishes without LT and I dare say they wouldn't even make the playoffs let alone win 8 games.
And if that's not enough LT is going to monopolize the TD record for a long time. He throws, he runs, he catches. It would be a travesty if LT isn't the MVP and by a landslide. |

Unless Bress gets another 10 or 15 TDs, before the season's over, then LT will win MVP without a contest. I think LT will be the best of all time. However, Brees might deserve it just as much as LT. They could do a Co-MVP, like they did a few years back -- but I hope they don't. I hated that. |
Re: Who's the MVP
Who's LT, Maybe you speak of TheRunningBackGodFormerlyKnownAsLTorLadanianTomolson
|
Re: Who's the MVP
Tough Call.... leaning towards LT
|
Re: Who's the MVP
Brees is the MVP, no doubt. Tomlinson has had a great year, but not like Brees. The Chargers are a much stronger team without Tomlinson than the Saints are without Brees. Both would be hurt a lot, but the Saints would be cooked without him.
