Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
I don't agree with this line, I believe our run game is going to annihilate these guys on sunday. Plus our secondary is looking better, but I'm worried about the mongoose being out. What do you think?

Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Are you counting the three points given for being home team? If not, then they're really saying the Skins by half a point.
|
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
good point, but it is still saying that the rams are supposed to win by 2.5 points this weekend either way you look at it.
|
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Meh, it's a pretty standard thing that they give the home team three points, so I'm thinking they're really favoring the Skins. If anything, it's a pretty good line.

You think the skins are gonna win this weekend??? without marcus....I figure it is at least a chance for GW to start Rocky, God I hope he does

Heard on the radio that Rocky was practicing in his natural position so if Washington is out they believe Holdman will move over and replace him. |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Yep, the home team gets three points right out the gate, so I think that line actually favors the Skins this weekend.
If you look at our season, we've been competative all year. Even in our loses. We just have problems closing the deal. I like the Skins all over the Rams this Sunday! |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Yes, we've been playing pretty well, but were 5-9 & going on the road. We're not exactly lighting it up.
Being a skins fan I think this is a winnable game, but nothing would suprise me. |

And the Colts game reminded me of the Super Bowl win our Skins had over the Bills - the score was not indicative of the game. We basically got a garbage TD against the Colts. |

The Colts game is the only one the really sticks out as a blow out...but we even had them for the first half and folded after that. |

It's only fitting what with the other Rocky (aka The Italian Stallion) making his return this weekend |

You're so proud of yourself, aren't you? |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
i'm very skeptical of the new rocky, and also skeptical of our rocky's abilities, hopefully both will be answered this weekend haha

Yes, yes I am. |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Does Rocky McIntosh have a girlfriend name Adrienne?
|
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
The wager line appears consistent at 2.5 points.
My Redskins loyalty springs eternal however --- I know the Skins can overcome such overwhelming odds!!! |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Stop Stephen Jackson, deny the deep ball, and be sure Torry Holt doesn't have a big day, and the Skins should easily cover the spread.

Jeff Posey will probably start if Washington can't go. Being a 2.5 dog is a good thing for us beacuse we seem to relish the underdog role, so that's all good. |
Stop Stephen Jackson, deny the deep ball, and be sure Torry Holt doesn't have a big day, and the Skins should easily cover the spread.
The only way we'll cover the spread is if Stan Marsh is our QB.

Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
thanks for posting this Zimmermans! I'd been looking for the spread the past couple days.
Seems a reasonable spread, who knows what we'll do each sunday? I'd like to think the D got a taste of success & liked it, and that on O we'll continue power running w/deep throws when opportunity knocks. I think we may break 30 this week. My score, Skins 31-20 w/the rams scoring a late td to make it respectable. |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
I would have expected a 5 point spread. Why is it the Vegas people are giving us respect when we have 5 wins?
|
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
i think the skins team that beat new orleans is the skins team many expected to see this season. not the 5-9 team that keeps taking the field each sunday
|
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Look not to the Redskins for the final outcome - look to the (worse than us) Rams.
After starting 4-1, the Rams promptly reeled off a 1-7 stretch. They won last week, against the lowliest of the low, the Raiders. This Rams team is not good. We're not great. Not good is worse than not great. Redskins by 4. |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
i like your reasoning brud

WOO WE BEAT THE SPREAD WE SCORED!!!!!!!!!!! |
Re: Skins are 2.5 point dogs in St. Louis
Look at the Rams' wins -- Raiders, Packers, Cardinals, Lions, upset over the Broncos in week one, and splitting with the 49ers.
Losses to Seattle (twice) Carolina, Chicago, Kansas City, San Fran, and San Diego. Typical mediocre team -- beating the weaklings, losing to the good teams. |
