you are right, but personally, i liked how he played the game when he was here. I saw a lot of passion from him when he was on the field. I really liked this guy, contrary to what most of the people here feel, and while i understand why most of you dislike him, I like him, and am somewhat saddened to see him go down like this.

So basically the guy was never 100%. Just imagine how good he could've been if he was healthy. Emphasis on "could've".

I figured it was his back when things were delayed with the Bengals. I'm glad we didn't pay him big money after his good year with us, or we'd be in even worse trouble on the d-line, if that's possible.

Plus, he really wasn't a Gibbs guy: injury-prone and broke his wrist in front of the International House of Pancakes. Man.

I thought I also heard he was bipolar or something. I'm not sure, but I thought that was the explanation for his behavior last season with the Broncos. Once again, I'm not sure about this, but I could have sworn it was him I heard it about.

For those of you who don't know: I'm not sure what Barrett Robinson was talking about during his interviews after the Super Bowl about not being able to control his actions, but that's not really what bipolar is. I had a friend who was bipolar (manic depressive is what it used to be called) and she would become very depressed at times. It basically makes your highs higher and your lows lower.

either way, he's a pro sports player... with that kind of money, you either learn to control it (taking medicine, talking to the support staff about what they can do, etc), or you get out.

It's not easy, but that's life... hopefully this gives him time to figure things out... he should have enough money to last him a while.

well, it depends on how well you budget, and if you insist on living above your means... if he had insurance, he might get a payoff out of that...

but there are lots of people who spend way more than they can afford to and don't plan ahead.

if he spent all his money on cars and jewelery, well... then that's too bad... but he got enough to open some retail stores/car lots/etc...

if he bought houses and cars, those have value too, either way, he's no longer a pro athlete, so it'd make sense that he can't afford that lifestyle anymore.

I was watching alot of the rookie symposium on NFL Network last month and the seem to have put a huge emphasis on taking care of your money this year. I really do hope so ateast. I also know that Darrell Green has some sort of venture capital firm he gets NFL players involved in to invest their money.

yeah kingerock, its real easy to see that ou have soo much money and figure you can just buy EVERYTHING you ever wanted... until the well dries up. Accountants aren't always the most pleasant people, but they definately serve a purpose.
