Who Would You Vote For?

Answer the questions in this survey and then find out who you would vote for simply based on your beliefs on issues, not your political affiliation (though understandably they may be closely tied). This is a good way to find out if you really are Republican or Democrat, or just think you are. The results include unofficial candidates such as Al Gore

According to my survey my top three would be:

George Pataki
Mitt Romney
Al Gore

Post your top three results here:

1. Obama
2. Gore
3. Dennis Kucinich (I laughed out loud at this one and it disturbed the entire training class that I am supposed to be assisting)

Interestingly enough, it picked my main man:

Preliminary results show that Kucinich might be our next warpath president. :D

I think they are. Question is is Obama ready to be President? I think it's great he's running to get the experience and exposure if nothing else and run again in 4-8 years.

You must've had some interesting answers because Gingrich and Biden are pretty much polar opposites on issues.

That's probably because I said, "Neither/Not Important" on a couple issues. I also noticed that you had less of a disparity in percentages between candidates than I did.

I can't help it, but everytime I see "Ron Paul" I read "Ru Paul"

Hehe ... Rupaul would probably make a great President!

Slightly. I like George Allen and Mitt Romney a lot and they were #6 and #8 on my list. They were both over 70% though.

I was a bit surprised Hillary was so high (4th, practically 3rd) on my list. It's why I like surveys like this. Because it strips away my preconceived notions of a candidate and just looks at do I agree what he/she stands for?

I won't deny, there were at least two questions I totally didn't understand.

I was somewhat suprised that that Gore and Kucinich were so high for me because I basically said that I really don't care about the environment at all. Plus, I always thought kucinich was really just a mythical elf.

Ideally, that's a great concept...but when candidates change their views based on what crowd they're speaking for or what the polls say...it's tough to nail down which candidate is for you. Someone may sound great to you when they're talking to Group A, but you may hate what they say to Group B. John Kerry's a master at this "strategy". That's why he lost.

Politics. :pffff:

I pimped this site during the last election and I'll do it again. It hasn't quite been updated for 2008 yet but a great site to find out about candidates, their platforms, what they've said and how they've voted.

Check it out: http://www.ontheissues.org

Yes, I'm ashamed to admit that HClinton was as high as 14 on mine.

Re: Who Would You Vote For?

1.) Romney
2.) Pataki
3.) Allen

The main issue I want steps taken towards is privatizing social security. I want the money I'm earning through my work to be there for me when I reach retirement because otherwise there probably won't be anything there for me if things stay the way they r.

Re: Who Would You Vote For?

NOt a very good survey because it was like all or none. For example the deficit the only answers was to rais taxes and decrease spending or do nothing. I think that 3 would be not increasing taxes but reduce spending. On polution it was the same thing either take the extrem one way or to do nothing. There where several other questions that would lead you to vote more on the liberal way than conservative way.

You were the same one who said Hillary should be shot right? Yeah, so far you're the poster child for why political threads never worked in the past.

To be fair: he didn't say she should be shot; he said anyone who votes for her should be shot. So you see, it was actually a well thought out, articulate post by him.

I agree. That is why I said "Neither" on a couple issues. :(

The survey could be better, but not much. Each candidate has their own ideas, but for the purpose of this survey the questions need to be yes/no.
