last year, I got my first authentic jersey. I got Coles because I live in the NY/NJ area and wanted to rub it in too all the J-E-T-S fans.

Problem is, I just went into a store and saw a Portis jersey which I had to have.

my question is this. How often to you guys by another jersey? I have gotten a new one for each of the last 4 or 5 seasons. first I saw a Lavar one back in the day (I am not sure how). The following year was the 70th so I brought a S. Davis retro one. The next year was the Coles authentic, to which I thought would be my last for awhile. Now the Portis.

Do I have a problem? or are you guys as addicted as me??????

JMHO, but the only jersey I own and I would ever buy is #28. There's something to be said for playing your entire career with the same team, and playing your heart out every game. Granted he didn't play his entire career in the free agency era, but even if he did, the Redskins organization would've made him a skin for life.

I made the mistake of buying a Champ Bailey jersey when 70th anniversary came out. Now I have to get a new one.

I'm debating between 3. Portis, Coles, Arrington.

I might have to go with Arrington because for now it seems like he's a Redskin for life.

We had a thread similar to this and a few of us said we will only buy numbers of "Redskins for Life" type players. I feel that way but am glad to see someone wearing ANY Redskins jersey.

Me personally I would stick with Redskins Hall of Famers or lifer Redskins like Monte Coleman or Dexter Manley.

I only have one now and it's a Throwback 1945 Championship Year Jersey so it has the number 45 on it which was a guy named Ted Lapka.

My next will be a Sammy Baugh #33 Throwback and after that a #9 Throwback if I see a nice one.

I usually buy 3-4 a year. I just bought a white Arrington which is really sweet, and a retro Smoot that was only $39.99 from skins.com. I also recently got a retro Tomlinson, I've always loved the Chargers electric blue jerseys.

My closet is starting to look like a locker room. LOL

yeah the chargers powder blue uni's look awesome and they r definitely becoming more and more widespread.

personally I try to get a new uni when i have both the money and have found one I really really want. I'm very selective in my jerseys cuz now I only get the authentic ones and they r expensive as hell. the only time I don't get an authentic is if its a jersey of a non redskin player who is one of my favorite players, like if anyone see's a nice looking Bo Jackson jersey, baseball or football(preferablly football), please let me know cuz I've been looking for a while and haven't found one i really like that isn't signed.

Agreed, I couldnt be happier that I bought my 28. It was in between my junior and senior year of high school, during the 100 million spending spree. I saw all those names but I was drawn to the 28, Green. I am thinking about getting a new one though, but it is definitely a process that should not be taken lightly, it requires a lot of time and thought

DG #28 is a solid Redskin for life jersey choice but I won't get one. I met the guy once and he was very rude and I lost "off field" respect for him. On the field the guy held his own as a Redskins player and I only have the highest respect for that. Not gonna buy a #28 tho.

If I had to pick a current player a Levar Arrington would be my choice. The guy just looks, sounds and acts like a Redskin for life. I want to see him more then any other player have a break out year and just crush people. I want to see Joe Bugel have to giver the word "slobber-knocker" as a word that describes Levar MORE then his great Offencive Line.

But yet I digress.

My all time fave was the Joey T jersey I had as a kid. Oh how I loved wearing that jersey.

Arrington, Portis, Taylor, Coles. Those guys are going to be here, hopefully, for a while. And they should all be productive.

I'm going to get the Portis in home white. I loved the retro unis though, and always play in them on Madden at home. But with the return of Gibbs, I like that the home whites are returning as well.

I only have two authentic ones, I got Arrington last year in burgundy and just picked up Portis in home white! Good stuff. I'd like to get Coles and I definitely want Taylor when he signs. Probably won't get them though unless I feel like spending some money.

I'm looking at a Taylor Authentic once the pre-season is done and I know he'll be playing.

You can never have too many jerseys, I wore two (White 22 with my name and Jacoby 66 burgundy that I've had since '85) to last years opener.

I can't imagine ever wearing another teams jersey, I'd get hives or cooties......

If I wear a jersey of a non-redskin, I wear them mostly for the respect i had/have for what that player has done or is doing and don't really think about the team he plays 4 cuz I know what team will always rule my heart and soul. but their r 5 teams I'll never wear a jersey of:1.)cowpies, 2.)iggles, 3.)the mannings, 4.)the buccaneers, 5.) and the ravens.

I am glad to see I am not the only one.

although I just bought the Portis replica, I am leaning towards the authentic as soon as I get some cash...luckily, Atlantic City is only a few hours away. go there, win a few hundred, get the jersey...hey, it worked for my authentic Coles.

Personally, I'd like to see some obscure Redskins from the Gibbs era - Didier would be my fave.

I love the authentics but if I was going to spend that much money on one I'd want it to be a true Skin for life.

Seems like every time I buy a jersey that player is gone soon after. Let's hope my streak ends with LaVar and Smoot!

I have the same problem. I finally upgraded to an authentic jersey about 5 yrs ago when I got a white Riggins jersey made up at my local pro shop. At the time I thought I would never need tobuy another skins jersey! :laughing- A few yrs latter I got, as I like to tell my girl freind a"GREAT DEAL" on a Blank authentic Red jersey. I figured I needed a home jersey as well as a road jersey. :biggthump So I took it down to my local pro shop and got Arrington stiched on it. I swoar that I was done spending 200 dallors on Redskins jersey's! :nono: That was untill the 70th anv. jersey's came out.

I like the white jersey, and hope with Gibbs back they go back to that jersey color for home games. Got a retro #28 authentic and the Coles white after Champ was dealt. I'll continue to wear that white #24 Bailey, but not when they play the Broncos Aug 9th!!!

Hey Huntz, take the Bailey to a decent Sports store and they should be able to apply Springs on a panel over the name Bailey. Voila, you have a current roster jersey.

I bought a D.Green 70th anniversary authentic becasue I knew he was a lifetime skin. But then when I wore the jersey the year after he retired I felt a little odd at the games. Not because people iddnt respect Green, but because I wanted to be wearing a jersey of someone who was on the roster, so i could point to it and taunt people, etc. So ill be getting a Portis and Taylor jerseys this year.

the only jerseys i have are a Westbrook red, and a Bailey Red

Still have an old replica Art Monk, that never gets old as far as I am concerned.

That's not a bad way to go if you want a cheap jersey. My freind got a D.Sanders authentic jersey for $30 a while back and had Smoot put on the back. :biggthump

I think I may have to convert my retro Champ jersey, it's practically brand new, I've only worn it a handful of times.

Arrington is the way to go, he just seems like the leader of this team. Can't go wrong with wearing the enforcers jersey.

I want us to get new jerseys. Ours right now are kinda plain, and weve had them a long time.

yea, while I do like the classic skin look I wouldnt mind us getting a modern jersey. I really like the Bengals new jerseys that they got this year. Honestly, im surprised with Gibbs comign back that Synder didnt get new jerseys to increase sales. Unless he figured sales would be up this year anyways, then next year he would get new uniforms and increase sales again.

Classics never go out of style, I don't like the Broncos, Rams or Patriots redesigns, however the Bucs was a relief.....

I had a custom jersey made with my name and the number 90. I wouldn't consider buying any jersey other than hall of fame calibers.
