You know what sucks...

I've had three (yes 3) beers and one shot and I'm as drunk now as I've been in about 10 years.

I guess your tolerance level goes down once you turn 100

Re: You know what sucks...

Yeah, that last 68 seemed to go real fast.

This is pathetic. I'm resorting to crackers and water until I feel decent ehough to actually go to bed. Probably have to top it off with two ibu's, too...pathetic.

My tolerance took a nosedive over the past few years. Leaving college and getting more and more serious with a woman will do that to you. I realize how much of a lightweight I've become when I go out with my single guy friends.

Re: You know what sucks...

You know what else sucks (sort of)? I'll tell you anyway. Going to bed real late at 12:30 and remembering the last time you went to bed so late was back on the 14-13 night. Damn!

Re: You know what sucks...

I wouldn't say that sucks.. . the less money it takes to get drunk the more you can spend on weed...

I thought this was another American Idol: Antonella Barba thread...zing!

Re: You know what sucks...

I like your style, can, but another thing that sucks is barely having enough cash to buy three Coors Lights (the shot was free) much less any amount of weed.

I've had somee todsay to. I'm not really taht drunk though. Last friday my roomate asys I woke up at 6 am and started pissing oni the floor. I don't remember that night at all.

Re: You know what sucks...

two weekends ago I passed out in a subway station. I don't mean rested my eyes while sitting on a bench either, I mean was woken up by security in a heap on the floor.

But I drank one hell of a lot.

The bars don't close here. They can theoretically stay open 24 hours. Some people sleep for a couple hours in the corner and then wake up ready to go.

Last Friday night I went out and had 7 beers and I was pretty toasted.

I don't mind though, the days of downing a 12 pack before hitting the bar are thankfully over.

Re: You know what sucks...

Two weeks ago I completely recreated the college experience by cracking open my first beer at around 3:30pm and then didn't stop til a shot of Three Wise Men almost made me puke on the bar at about 1am. I was downing random shots, Jack and cokes, pitchers of beer like there was no tomorrow. Plus it felt like college because I crashed on my friends couch (slept with my shoes and hat on) after I tried unsuccessfully to hook-up with any Baltimore skanks.
I think today is the first morning that I haven't felt hungover since that night.

Here's what really sucks...

I'm on vacation this weekend in Key West with my wife - no kids - for the first time ever. We were in bed by 11:00.

I must've left my testicles in Delaware.

If you pass the Heritage House while you're down there, make sure you take your hat off when you walk by because I'll be getting married there in May.

Also, do this:

DRINK SOMETHING.

Please tell me someone drew a tuxedo on you in magic marker. Around my town, whenever you sleep in your shoes, that's the magic go-ahead to do whatever we want to you.

Oh, I drank a ton - I got down here at noon, loaded up on Goombays and Mojitos, and had a nice $175 dinner. Then I took seven aspirin and went to sleep.

I was also up for sunrise, I've had a delicious breakfast, and I'll be having my first cocktail by 10 am.

Brud. There's a place on Duval called Flamingo Cafe. It's owned by 2 people who used to live in Ocean City MD, went down there on vacation and never came back...and you gotta love no open container laws down there. Now if they only did that in Rehoboth...

Wait a sec...you're in Key West, yet you are logged on here...get your ass off the computer and go drink something. Don't wait til 10am...

[5:30 Friday morning]

{Rite of Spring playing softly in the background}

(724Skinsfan is fast asleep after going to bed just a few hours ago. He's dreaming, yet lucidly conscious of the fact that he is asleep).

"...ahhh, wonderful sleep. another hour and a half before I wake up. No hangover. I'll be good to go once I get just a little more res..."

Suddenly the peaceful scene explodes in a cacophony that has become a daily ritual around this time.

DA-DA!
DA-DA!!!
DAAAAAAAAA-DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

Yeah, on days like this, that sucks...sort of.

The above is exactly why my mother stopped drinking...she was sick of taking care of me with a hellacious hangover.

Where are you staying? And yes, I second everyone else's opinion. I got on for about ten minutes when I was there a couple months ago to say what's up, now it's time to drink.

Also, I strongly recommend eating at the Grand Cafe Key West. That's where my wedding reception is, and it has the best damn crab cakes I've ever eaten.

Re: You know what sucks...

I feel my age when my neighbors kids around 23 to 27 knock on my door on a nice summer night with a few friends wanting to cut on the back lights and play horse shoes. Last summer we were up until 3:00am throwing shoes and the next day I was down for the count. It does not help knowing that no one has to drive so the beers go down a little quicker. Its fun but man it hurts the next day.

My friend's were absolutely vicious and borderline sadistic to people who fell asleep.

One guy got stripped naked and thrown out onto his front porch to sleep for the night. The houses in his neighborhood are pretty close together, so needless to say, his neighbors got a nice view of a naked, fat, ugly drunk guy come morning.

Another guy actually got his head NAIRED. The victim was not really in our group of friends and was kinda an a--hole, but still NAIRING? I've got to admit though, it probably would've been funny as hell to see him sitting in class on Monday with clumps of hair falling out and watching him freak out.

Re: You know what sucks...

Damn that is pretty harsh, people's asses get kicked for less.

The worst we ever did to someone who fell asleep early is write on them or put shaving cream in their hand and tickle their nose. Nothing is funnier than watching someone smack themselves in the face with a handful of shaving cream.

TheMalcolmConnection 03-02-2007 10:36 AM

Re: You know what sucks...

Did he keep his shoes on?

It's just standard courtesy, almost to the point of Man Law, that if someone is sober enough to get out of his or her shoes, that is a pass from getting ****ed up.

Almost like a Drunken Passover.

That being said, if someone attempts to mess with me while I'm sleeping sans shoes, be prepared for my full wrath regardless of age, gender or size.

The worst we got was shrink wrapping people and antiquing them (Jackass, the first movie was big when I was in college).

Is the a reference?

On a side note has anyone seen that crappy Ben Stiller movie where he was in a group of crappy superheros? Mystery Men, maybe?

That guy that says all those wierd quotes came to mind.

"If you wish to work the NYC subway, you must let the subway work you..."

Ok nevermind...lol

Up since 5, done it once, two cups of coffee, and eggs benedict.

I have a 10 am rule on non-football days.
