yeah but that hurt me aliitle too much for him but it has happened again the redskins are a stopping point for players to get a great deal somwhere else

so who are we going to get now matty ???? the market been set. If dock cost that much how much for the guy in Sd or Cinn then. Its always cheaper to keep your own.

Wow, the bills must have a monkey running their personnel department. Dockery is a VERY average guard. He's not worth that kind of money.

Crazy! That's about the same deal we gave Samuels, who's a Pro Bowl LT! Again, not to harp on the issue too much, but how are 2006's signing bonuses looking right about now?

He's just not worth that kind of money, not sure what you've been watching the last few years but he's not a top 5 or even top 10 player at his position.

someone just came up to me and was like, theres a guy named dockery on your team, right? i knew right then that he was signed somewhere else because that person is a gay ravens fan. He told me he went to the bills.

I was pissed but now that I know the deal they gave him, they can have him.

Well hopefully the guy who replaces dock is more mobile. Portis wouldn't mind that. i remeber him blasting dock on a radio show right after the season. Available guards out there now. Answer if you want. I hope the 6th pick doesn't get wasted on offense.

Sorry but Leonard Davis is a better player than Dockery, not by a ton but he's a better player.

Last year Hutchinson got this type of money, Dock is nowhere near the class of lineman as Hutch.

Waaaay overpaid!! At that price, good riddance. I agree with all of you who say that he is average at best. I seem to remember him getting something like 3 false starts in a row in one game. Glad we didn' t sign him at that insane number and even more ridiculous signing bonus. Jeeesh!

Even if Davis isn't a TON better than Dock, he's far more valuable since he can play multiple positions. I'd feel much better about going into the season with Davis than Dock.

Portis said that Dockery couldnt pull.
Gibbs wants more athletic linemen. I am happy to see dock go. I wouldnt pay him the league minimum. FYI, I've been complaining about him and samuels for 2 years. I wonder how Samuels is going to take losing his bed buddy.

Dockery, at this point in his career, isn't even as good as Thomas, there is no way I'd want to keep him for this kind of money. Obviously I wish we had resigned him last offseason, but hindsight is 20/20.

well sorry to break it to you taylor going to break the bank after we paid AA so that going to happen and Cooley going to ask around 10 or 12 mill sign bonus too. If we would have offered Dock 12 to 14 he would have stayed damn we gave coles 13 and he just a damn wr. Lineman win games wr are just icing

I am sorry, anyone who criticizes us not resigning Dockery at this price is smoking crack. Hutchinson got the same deal last year, and he's maybe the best guard of the last 10 years. Dockery is a nice player who is still developing, but guard isn't even that valuable a position. Teams win the superbowl all the time with grunts plugged in at either side.

Totally Disagree! He's NOT WORTH that kinda coin in my book, by ANY STRECH!

And I'm glad the SKINS are NOT paying him that kinda coin....WE HAVE TO BE SMARTER THAN THAT!

We've made way to many players OVERPAID, it's GOT TO STOP SOMEWHERE!

We have several potential starters to fill in for a OL guard,we just signed Pucillo not that he's dock. But we might find a diamond in the rough..... You have to take that chance.

Look, if Dock wanted to get paid, I cant be mad at him for that. Maybe he didnt like it here enough to look past that. But when were talking 4 million gauranteed (I hear we offered around 12 milion), I can't fault a player for that at all. The guy got paid. I pretty much wish Dock the best of luck, I dont think he's worth anything near that price, and I can't be mad at the Redskins or our front office for not getting him resigned. That is just an insane number. However, we need to get active at the gaurd position ASAP because I dont think his replacement is on the team.

never said pay him that much but a good team signs there players with a year of so left on their contract and keep their young talent like the eagles do. This should have been taken care off before he had a chance to hit FA>

If we signed Dock for that money we'd pretty much also have to take the field with the exact same defense that we have [I]right now.[/I] I wouldn't feel very comfortable with that.
