Yes, it's another one of those $@&*#ing Ramsey threads...lol! So, I heard on the NFL Network this evening that Ramsey might be going to Houston and that he could be competing for the starting position. What chances (if any) do you think Ramsey has of succeeding in Houston if a deal does go through?

Ramsey is a forever backup at this point. I am sorry, he just does not make good decisions consistantly enough to keep a coach from not going insane.

Yes, another F#*&$G Ramsey thread.

As for Ramseys chances I would say very little as far as being succeful. If they put Ramsey in the backfield then Carr's rookie sack record will be obliterated.

I always thought Ramsey had the tools to be a good QB. It just always seemed to take him a coupe of INTs to get warmed up.

Joe didn't lie to Ramsey, he got out played in preseason, then lost his job rightfully so in the first game!
By the way Brunell did at least get us to the PLAYOFFS IN 05.

ramsey throws a football like a javelin, hence all the picks on his deep throws. that's why gibbs only let him throw short stuff when he was starting (and there's also the whole "i've never throw to a receiver before he's made his break before" thing). it's something he never got fixed.

still, he's a decent backup.

Anytime you get beat out by a noodle armed, 35 year old QB w/ bad legs that says something about your QB skills. He had his chance here and simply got beat out. Plus an even more noodle armed QB named Chad Pennington beat him out. Two of the weakest arms in the history of the NFL beat out Patrick Ramsey. Then he got beat out by a frickin rookie. Bad field vision, can't come off to his 2nd and 3rd options and he's not a very accurate passer. Sounds like a perfect 3rd stringer.
