It is soo painful to watch the Wizards

I know they are missing two of their best players but even when both Gil and Caron was in it seemed at times we cant finish games. We have leads and them blow em. I know if the big 3 was intact then we will get some wins, but 6 losses in a row.

It just hurts to watch. It is like watching Skins games, but the Wiz give more false hope because they are always in the game. :(

I got tickets to the last home game the day before Gil went down. I blame myself for the slide, my bad.

As painful as it is, I do like the effort from them. Guys are playing hard. But its does suck. Hopefully we can at least win one game in the playoffs.

By the way, I don't care how good Brendan Haywood played tonight. He's gotta go. I can't stand him.

Its tough, but we have built a strong foundation. We are one physical big man away from being a legit championship team. My hope was that we would slide out of the playoffs, win the lottery, bring in Oden, and win 7 consecutive championships. Now that they have clinched, however, I guess 7 championships might be optimistic. How about 2?

Lol I wish too buddy. I dont know I pull hard for the Wiz, almost as hard as the Skins. It is Skins first then Wiz for me. It just gives you that really sick feeling in the stomach when I see them lose like that. It just hurts.

Did you see the last game against Toronto? THAT was the most painful game I've ever watched. That type of shit only happens to the Wizards.

OH yeah, that was especially bad. It seems like the Wiz get burnt like that all the time.

Actually, I am very impressed by the Bullets without Gilbert and Caron.

They're IN every game at the end, they're a lot more competitive than anyone expected. Yes, they're losing every game, but NOT BY MUCH. In the long run, this will be great for our team. I was watching Blatche, Donnell Taylor and Roger Mason Jr. last night and they looked great, especially Taylor. The future looks bright for the team if they can keep these guys. Getting them on-the-court experience that's not garbage time right now will be great for their development.

I was at the Toronto game. Ridiculous. I know Ruffin is team guy, good on the boards, etc... but I say cut him for that bone-headed move alone.

As far as the last few games go, it really is like watching the Zards during the pre-Arenas era. I don't get too upset because I know, in the end, they'll blow the lead and lose the game. No matter how good they look in stretches.

I am glad to see Blatche getting some solid minutes. He is probably the player I am most excited about on our team right now. Upside is huge. We need to sign him to a reasonable contract and send him to GNC for some shakes.

I am still excited about the playoffs. We've been in games without Gil and Caron and I think we have a real chance of sneaking through the first round. Especially if Caron comes back early like he's been alluding to.

Re: It is soo painful to watch the Wizards
the wizards are like the nationals, theyll never go anywhere.GO BULLS!!!!!
That's a terrible comparison. The Nationals are basically just being built and no one expected them to be good at all, whereas the Wizards have been a very good Eastern Conference team for the past three seasons and people thought they could make a real run before the injury bug hit.
You could have at least said the Wizards are like the Broncos (for example). Both teams make the playoffs with some consistency but neither is really a threat to win it all.
Ironically, the Bulls are probably in the same boat.

Re: It is soo painful to watch the Wizards

I feel bad for you guys. The Wizards looked pretty promising earlier in the season. That dam injury bug will get you ever time.
As a Lakers fan, lately I know what watching crappie B-Ball is like. Besides Kobe we are pathetic. And the sad thing is I don’t see any easy fixes for our team. We just need more talent period. Kobe is by far the best player in the league. But he can’t do it all himself.
Though I must say I am still really glad we kept Kobe over the Shaq.
I know most of you blame Kobe for Shaq leaving. But that really isn’t the case. Shaq became old and injury prone. He didn’t want to stay in shape and refused to have surgery in the off-season because he "didn't want to ruin his summer". He clamed he "got hurt on company time. So he should be able to heal on company time". I don’t know but if you’re making over a 100 million dollars to play B-Ball the whole year should be company time. At the end he still had two year left on his contract but wanted Jerry Buss to give him a two year extension worth nothing less then the max allowed. And this is after years of being the highest paid player in the NBA. He claimed that the Lakers weren’t loyal. But if you ask me it was Shaq that became unloyal and brought the whole thing down.

The NBA season is almost over for me.(Thank god) I can't wait for Sep 9th!!! Hail

Well just remember not everyone is from the DC area. So it's possible for them to like the Redskins and their hometown basketball team.

If they are from Memphis or Toronto okay, but what is it that draws them to the Redskins that doesn't also draw them to the Wizards. I mean, if my favorite basketball team was the Bulls would it make sense for me to simultaneously HATE the Bears? Maybe I like another team better but I should at least be neutral right?

And what is with these people not being from DC? What, you can't be born in a cool part of the country? I believe the Spanish term is el lameo.

Ahhhh...sweet, sweet victory. The entire fourth quarter, even when we were up by more than 20 I was waiting for the hawks to go on a run. Loving Blatche.
how is shaq over rated?
I dont think he is overrated, I think he is not as talented as most people think he is. He is just huge and fat, and all that is genetic. I know he use to shoot jumpers and all that in college, so all you historians dont come here and start attacking me. All I am saying what he does in the NBA doesnt require much skill. He just sits in the middle, gets the ball, pushes people around a bit and turns to throw the ball up. Also there is no excuse for him sucking on free throws. He needs to practice harder, I honestly feel practice is the answer for anything(or natural talent).

the thing that makes shaq the man, in my eyes, is that everyone knows what shaq is going to do, but no one can stop him.

I liked the Wizards before Jordan, but not since. I grew up a Lakers fan because that was always what my grandfather and my uncle, who were also huge Redskins fans, watched. It was just awesome watching a group of players like Johnson, Worthy, Green, Scott, and Kareem play so well and make it look so effortless.
