Hardest Hitting Safety.***All Time***
You are running a cross pattern through the center of the field, QB throws a great ball, you catch it. When you turn to run up field, your heart stops, and you see_______,
How would you least like to see running full speed at you? No LB's, or DB's, just safety's. |

Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
Are you kidding me with this post? Did you really want a whole thread of SEAN TAYLOR>...SEAN TAYLOR>>>SEAN TAYLOR>>>>SEAN TAYLOR. The guy is the man and I don't really need to hear that about him. A BEAST BEWARE HE IS LURKING!!! HAIL... LOL And on anther note to really answer this question we need to get hit by them, since none of us have ever played NFL football we can't answer this with out talking out of our ass.

Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.

I don't know about you, but when I watch games I can tell that ST and Brian Dawkins hit harder than Omar Stoutmire does. So I disagree that we're talking out our ass. The reputation of the hitter is also based on what players from around the league say. So no, we don't have to get hit by them. But if you'd like to, please feel free. |

Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
It's hard to say. I honestly think Sean Taylor is the hardest hitting safety in the league, but 90% of the time he delivers a clean shot(shoulder to the torso), so even if he knocks the ever living shit out of you, you'll probably be fine.
I might have to go with Roy Williams... I'd be fearful that he'd let me pass him so he could take me down with his patented horse collar, and blow out my knee. |
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
john lynch can hit hard too
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
Do any of you remember Chuck Cecil ? Now THAT effer could hit !

Yeah, but he was dirty as hell. He led with his head and aimed for the head every time he had the chance. |

Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
True he did, but still .... WOW
Anyway, THIS guy hit hard as a mother. 3 of them and you're putting the code back in to get to him right away. Look for his eyes to blink my ass ! |

I just downloaded it to my Wii last weekend and at age 27 I can't make it past the first 60 seconds against Tyson. It's true what they say, little kids are so much better at video games. |
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.

Atwater could light it up. I had the privilege of watching Ronnie Lott too throughout his career. Anybody remember Donnie Shell, Mel Blount? |
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
OH MY I FORGOT ABOUT HIM,...Ronnie Effin Lott !!!!! WOW!
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
Taylor.............Lynch not bad
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
I think Taylor really stands out right now because no one really hits quite like he does. But during the 80s you had about three or four guys who could really hit.
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
How about if your a punter playing in the probowl and you attempt a sneak who would you not like to see coming after you?
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
Oh HELL, it's ST man.
It's not just how hard he hits you. He hits your ass so hard, he makes you wander around on the field and then congratulate him for the hit (like the kicker). Maybe, it's how he positions himself before impact to deliver maximum destruction. He hits you like a backer (a Butkus style backer) after closing on you like a Cheetah He scares the hell out of the over the middle guys |

Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
Well on topic, it is without a doubt Sean Taylor. I keep remembering the time Terry Glenn curled up cause he knew Sean was coming.
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
T.O. has had problems across the middle with us as well
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
how about the original hit machine, Ken Houston?
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
He was BAD, that's a fact. JMO, I cannot remember seeing anybody deliver so MANY devastating hits. I was thinking Ronnie Lott, LT, Reggie White, etc. Taylor is rough duty
|
Re: Hardest Hitting Safety.
I'll never forget this hit, Atwater was awesome.
