It's hard to pick just one player, so I will pick three.

1. Darrell Green
2. Charley Taylor
3. Sonny Jurgenson

Since I can't pick Green, I'll have to say Gibbs.

Remember.... DG, Monk & Baugh are off limits in this (because they get the majority of votes).

I know Darrell Green was off limits, but I had to stick his name in there. My apologies. I will add another honorable mention.

Wilbur Marshall

OK... but the point of excluding those three is because it is a given they are the top vote getters.

Difficult to narrow a list of seventy down to one, but since there are exclusions, I,m going with Bobby Mitchell because he changed the perception of the Redskins and ushered in a new era.

Well, Monk & Mann are buddies and business partners so it's all good.

Re: 70 Greatest - Who's your Favorite

Outside the big three and Gibbs, I've gotta go with Charles Mann. He would maul guys at the line of scrimmage and command double teams regularly. I also like his character off the field.
Joe Jacoby would be another guy since he could set the tone on the line of scrimmage.
Honorable mention: Alvin Walton

1) Joe Jacoby
2) Russ Grimm
3) Mike Nelms
4) Jumpy Geathers

1. Joe Theismann Joe was the man!!!!!
2. Doug Williams Class act all the way and the best African Amer QB ever!!!
3. Gus Frerotte Never won the big one, but as Gibbs would say "He fought his guts out."

1) John Riggins

HM) Russ Grimm

I'm really surprised "Stink" Schlereth was left off the list. He was a helluva guard.

Green, Monk & Baugh were a given... I should have included Riggins in this line also...
