What a joke the NBA is becoming. First this whole fiasco at the beginning of the season with the new basketball, then they switch back mid stream. Then they overeact with all of these corny tech fouls and suspensions.

Now this BS with the Spurs. I tell you what, if Omare gets suspended, I'm done watching the playoffs this year.

Tim Duncan is the biggest cry baby in the NBA, and LeBron gets Honorable Mention.

All I see is a blank post SS.

Re: robert horry

Ha...did you see the coaches push Amare all the way back to his chair. They know the rule.

I don't think Amare should get a suspension, he didn't even make it all the on the court and was nowhere near the altercation.

He said afterwards "I was going to the scorer's table to check in". Ha...good answer...

C'mon Horry...going after the tiny white dude? I used to respect you for your clutch shots, not your cheap shots.

Side note: I always thought Horry looked like Will Smith, especially the "Ali" version of Will.

I blame this whole fiasco on the NBA and the officials. They've allowed this series to become a damn wrestling match and then they act indignant when emotions take over and bad things happen like this. They are getting what they deserve.

"Big Shot" Bob indeed. That looked like a hockey check. It was much worse than the knee to the junk that Bowen gave Nash the other night.

Pretty much. I think for one, they protect the superstars way too much and don't step in until tempers flair.

Next game they're going to call every little ticky-tack call to keep things under control.

Had Kobe pulled that crap, he'd be gone for at least two games.

Re: robert horry

That's horrendous. Horry's playoffs should be done. The Spurs are playing like a bunch of punks. They're acting like they can't beat the Suns by playing basketball so they resort to whatever the hell you wanna call this. It's horrendous. They better not win this series.

no longer "Big Shot Bob", now he's "Cheap Shot Boob"

I'm a big suns fan, have been since the Barkley years started, and after that happened I jumped of the bench (couch) to,I hate the Spurs, and if they suspend Amare, or Diaw I may lose hope in the nba all together

MonkFan4Life 05-15-2007 03:15 PM

Re: robert horry

Bruce Bowen is the owrst of them all. Mr defensive player is out trying to injure people. I watched some of Washington Post Live and some guy said that he didn't have a problem with Bowen kneeing Nash in the nuts ? Was it Eric Bickle ? Can't remember but I'm like are you effin kidding me. HE KNEED HIM IN THE NUTS !!!!! That's not good playoff basketball, that's friggin wrong! I can see if it was an accident but he purposfully kneed him in his happy place. If anyone should be suspended it should be that prick because as long as he gets away with it he'll keep doing that ish !

PFunk26 05-15-2007 09:59 PM

Re: robert horry

And Amare and Diaw suspended unfricking believable.....

dmek25 05-15-2007 10:12 PM

Re: robert horry

I'm telling you, the NBA wants the spurs in the finals. what a joke. and this coming from a sixer fan

SmootSmack 05-15-2007 10:15 PM

Re: robert horry

The rules are the rules. You can't leave the bench during an altercation. And it's not like they stood up and sat down. They got up and walked toward the altercation, and probably not to just watch.

dmek25 05-15-2007 10:27 PM

Re: robert horry

it doesn't seem very fair that a scrub like Robert Horry takes out the suns second best player, and their top player off the bench with a cheap shot to Nash, does it? maybe have them serve the suspension at the beginning of the next season. and how comes Horry only gets 2 games? what a joke

SmootSmack 05-15-2007 10:30 PM

Re: robert horry

I wouldn't call Horry a scrub though. Not come playoff time

skinsfanthru&thru 05-16-2007 12:05 AM

Re: robert horry

I used to be a fan of Horry's, but that was a completely an unneeded level of contact on that foul. I hate the suns, but I hate the spurs more and this whole series the spurs have been playing like thugs almost as if to try and fight off their squeaky clean image of the past few years. it's pathetic that horry is only gone for 2 games for a foul in which he obviously intended to hurt nash and make a message of it. the nba is a crock.

12thMan 05-16-2007 02:21 AM

Re: robert horry

Horry has definitely tarnished his image after this incident. What a major, major blunder by the NBA.

Unbelievable that they would suspend, essentially two major contributors from one squad, and one role player from the other team.

My biggest issue with this ruling is that now it can decide the outcome of the series. No rule, in my opinion, no matter how intent or deliberate is meant to nor should it decide the outcome of games; Especially when all the chips are on the table. They screwed up royally!

gibbsisgod 05-16-2007 05:51 AM

Re: robert horry

Can you appeal suspensions in the NBA? I know players in the MLB do it all the time to delay their suspensions.

dmek25 05-16-2007 06:13 AM

Re: robert horry

no way they would win an appeal. this is what commish stern wants, and he usually gets what he wants

I don't think you need to win, just delay it is all.
