I would always rather see my team beat te oter team w/all the best players on the field, but at the same time every winning team has a little luck in the season. This could be the first sign of ours since we open w/the dolphins.

I personally could care less if there best talent is on the field or not. If I had to choose I would take it the other way around.

A WIN is a WIN, I hope they are playing with there weakest talent. We sure have had to do that enough and came up on the wrong end.

I hope PEANUT BRAIN gets a little time on the hill from the COMMISH!

If we can't beat the Dolphins with or without Porter we are going to be an
8-8 team at best. They have a new coach and no quarterback at the moment. Porter is past his prime anyways.

The Dolphins had one of the best defenses in the league WITHOUT Porter last year. I think they'll be tough on that side of the ball regardless. But I just don't see Cam Cameron winning his first game as a head coach in our house on opening weekend. I predict our defense will be foaming at the mouth after last season. And that stadium will be rocking! I'll be there and I can't wait. I'll be bouncing up and down in my #21 authentic. Porter or not, that game really should be a W. I absolutely do not want to go into Philly 0-1 for the week 2 MNF matchup. We'd be staring 0-2 in the face.

porter is past his prime, but can still make plays. im with skinsfan nn, i could care less who the other teams suit up. a win is a win

ditto about the vikes last year, I think that game really caught everyone by surprise here.

The dolphins have a tough D & Porter is still a great player, he is on his way but not yet over the hill by any means. Like any player his age, if he gets nicked up a bit its harder to recover & will slow him down. When healthy, he's a top olb.

I think this game will be tough regardless of him playing, but it certainly helps us if he's not. It will be interesting to see if our O can click right off the bat in game 1. I think they will & I think Samuels will have a great game if he gets to match up w/J. Taylor all game.

Myself, my wife, Gmanc and friends will be there as well. Thus far, aside from the Vikings game, we are undefeated when that entire crew attends.

What lot you going to be in this year AMD? We're more than likely going with the green lot and rather than trying to have a huge thing, we'll probably have the core group of Gmanc and his group, Daseal (if he gets a ticket), Warpath and his wife and that's about it. So of course, feel free to come by and pound some beers.

My favorite!

We'll probably be in Blue again this year (that Red pass that I had last year wasn't through my usual ticket source) but I havne't talked to my buddy with the season tickets about it yet. either way I'll stop by and maybe actually stick around for some beer pong.
As of now I think I'm going to the preseason game against Pitt, Miami, Arizona, Philly, and Dallas but I'll probably pick up another game or two during the season.

That's how we usually do. It's usually ALWAYS the opening day game, plus a game to be named later. Hopefully, it'll be a better day weather-wise for pong. The group got FAR too big last year, so we're going to keep it to the people mentioned above.

Ha, I'll let him know. I actually wasn't planning on attending the opener anyway. Especially after what happened in last years opener, against another team they should have stomped.

Honestly, that was the most depressing day of my life. That picture I have of you and him with your hockey mask on about sums it up. If you do make it, I'm sure he still has my number (I think I have his too) and give me a ring.

going against new coaches in there first game is never easy. the fish will be fired up. i think Joe might have put too much emphasis on the first game of the season last year. plus, this is a team that everyone in our division plays and is not in our conference. a win would be a good sign. a loss isn't the end of the world but would definitely hurt my confidence.

I hope all the starters on both teams play.

I rather have Porter on the field. Why? I rather us beat a good team with all their "cylinders" intact, meaning we beat the team at its full potential and would gauge our team as being better. But regardless of his playing, the Dolphins D was pretty damn good last year. If we can't beat the Fins at Fedex week 1, we will have one sorry ass season.

Why do you assume Porter is part of the best team they can field? Porter is past his prime, and he might not be the best they can field. He means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things, and a win is a win...assuming we can win. Like someone else pointed out, if we can't beat the fins, then we have a long season ahead of us.
