Stephon Heyer did an absolutely tremendous job filling in for Jon Jansen, he really stepped up in a big time situation for an UDFA.

Yeah, I'd say that's pretty good for losing your starting right tackle who's replaced by an undrafted rookie free agent.

Big-up to Heyer! I wouldn't assume he's taking over for Jon for good though. Big up to the O-Line for dominating that defense! Big up to the running backs for sticking it to the #4 defense. Big-up to the coaches for ticking with the running game.

I like Heyer, and would like to see him continue because that means we are getting younger on the o-line.

Heyer had a great showing and i'm glad we had him to go to - i met him at Beach Blitz and he was super nice, very soft spoken - on the field however i think we will see great play - he's HUGE too - did u hear Randy thomas talking about him after he game? he called him "20 feet tall":)

I was really impressed by his play on this stage considering his experience and the fact that he has hardly even practiced at right tackle (according to Gibbs). It will be interesting to see if he still starts when Wade gets healthy.

Just heard that Todd Wade will be starting the next game - not Heyer. Only reason he didn't take over in the Miami game is because he was inactive.

IMO - even though Heyer had a decent game, we're better off with Wade anyhoo.

I read that Jayson Taylor approached Bugel after the game to congratulate him and to say that Heyer (a player he had never heard of and an UDFA) did a very good job blocking him. That says allot about Heyer's and shows how classy of a guy Jayson Taylor is to give him the thumbs up for his good play.

Looks like Heyer could be a permanent replacement for Jansen...he has missed two of the past three seasons and isnt getting any younger. I love Jansen but it is nice to know we could have a good, cheap replacement in a world were o lineman get paid as much or more than skill players.

U arte crazy if you think that JJ wont get his job back. First off he is way more intelligent for his position, a veteran at that, and he will play hurt.

Anyone remember JJ playing with not one, but two broken thumbs? All he did was cast em up and play until they healed!

Lets see this undrafted free agent Heyer do that. Lets see him play hurt, or better yet, lets see how he hold up after MORE THAT ONE FRICKIN GAME!!!

I am a die hard skins fan too, but at some point in time one has to be realistic and not jump the gun prematurely.

I hope you guys aren't as premature in the bedroom as you are in this forum...lol

Just jokin, but JJ will be back and if SH does well, then we have depth at a position that most teams dont.

BTW, if Jansen goes on IR, Gibbs says that he will not necessarily be replaced on the roster by an O-Lineman. So, there's Ade's opening.
