Disgusted
Maybe I'll rent a gun and buy a bullet? Bonus points if you can name the movie.
Here's the thing. I am 31 years old. I was 10 when the Giants won it all in 86, I grew to love defense. Give me a 3-0 game with each team getting 6 sacks and forcing 5 turnovers any day of the week and twice on sunday. I can't take this, I am thinking of calling out tomorrow, driving to the meadowlands and asking for a try-out. I'll play for the league minimum, hell I'll play for gas money and tolls to and from practice and games. I'll do my own laundry for my practice and game uniforms. I hate this f'n team. I actually just put my tickets for the games against the Vikes and Patriots on StubHub. Might offer my skins tickets on here down the road. Between the Mets and now this shit, I just can't wait for hockey to start. |
Re: Disgusted
Did you really think the Giants would be any good this year? You guys have been overachieving for years?

Re: Disgusted
No. Posted about it last week. I thought they'd suck for the last few years. Two years ago they surprised everyone then got exposed in the play-offs. Last season, the D looked better than it was because Strahan and Umenyiora went ape$h!t. Their pass rush covered A LOT of their other flaws. They went down and they were exposed, but held on for the Wild Card. They are setting up Coughlin to fail. They could have won both of these games, and confidence can be a big thing in this league. Like I said, I thought they'd struggle, didn't think they'd be an embarassment to the uniform.

Re: Disgusted
The movie is Vegas Vacation....
One of my close friends is a huge Giants fan...and he says this might be the worst Giants defense he's seen..... As a Redskins fan, this was a game I looked at on the schedule that could go either way....which I now look at it as a must win. Chris Cooley should have his own game plan because they are giving up so much under the middle right now. |

Sorry Gman, your team sucks ass. Barber knew what he was doing when he left. Eli sucks monkey balls and never will be half the QB his brother is. Can't wait to feast on Gmen this year, and two helpings to boot!!!!!!!

We can't assume anything and look past the Giants though

Re: Disgusted
i didnt think the giants would make the playoffs but i thought theyd be atleast decent...like 7-9
|
Re: Disgusted
Sorry to say this Coggs, but it's your coaching. You have decent talent (not great, but decent). Your coaching staff is underachieving, and worse than that, Coughlin is not respected by the players. (don't care why) Until you change the fundamental thinking and direction of the team, you will continue down this path.
|
Re: Disgusted
you know what... I've grown to hate the team. I cant stand eli, shockey, or plaxico for the same reason... they have shit attitudes. and you throw in strahan and coughlin and you have a shit stew. there's enough talent there to contend, but theres enough attitude to blow it.
the first step in getting good would be to bench eli and put in jared lorenzen. the hefty lefty threw for a billion yards at kentucky and has the right attitude to lead the team. AND, he can throw the ball 70 yards when he steps up, so moss could actually spread a D. You'd have to sign a couple of secondary players, or trade one of those pass rushers whose names I can't pronounce... don't help you in coverage do they... then I'd bench shockey, especially since he's nothing but an ignorant attitude and acts hurt everytime he catches the ball (anyone else notice that?) It used to be that dallas was my most hated foe (and they still are, due to T.O.) and the eagles were next, and the giants were a respectable team in the division, and I could stand you guys more than several teams (baltimore, denver, tampa bay, kansas city, etc...) but you guys have too many whiny primadona bitches... |

You know who else did GREAT at Kentucky...Tim Couch, and where is he now? Eli is not as good as Peyton and never will be. But he did throw for 48 td's the last two seasons, how many NFL QB's can say that?? Eli is very talented and the team would take a MASSIVE step backwards if Eli was benched. It's very common for New Yorkers to get on GREAT players (see A-Rod), so I don't listen to the negative hype...fact is the New Yorkers have spewed this crap about him that he's no good...they are wrong (as they usually are). Don't listen to it. In his last 34 games (1 game in 04 and 1 game in 07), he has thrown for 55 td's. Again, how many people have done that? |

Ha, It was a nickname I had in high school during football based off my last name...the C was the position I played which was center and then 7:11 was based off of Austin 3:16...when I made this s/n I think i was still in HS...but rest assured that it means nothing in support of any team besides the Washington Redskins. |

OMG YOUR D-FENSE SUCKS!!!!!!! They fired the DC and this new guy ain't getting the job done either. Guys were missing tackles, and were out of position. Your LB's are terrible. Plus Shockey and Toomer made two real dumb plays that costed you. Tom ( Grumpy ) Coughlin isn't going to make it past the 8th week. |

It's week 2 and the Browns looked awesome, Seachickens got beat by the Treechickens...and how about those Texans? Any given Sunday baby!!! I love it!

yeah the browns have me scratchin my head... the texans I can see and the cardinals are looking good now that they have a coaching staff that gives a shit about an offensive line... oh btw... here's my fav. eli manning siteThe Official Eli Manning Sucks Blog |
Re: Disgusted
Here's the thing about the Giants, now and for the last few years.
There aren't any guys left who can exert enough positive locker room presence to steady the ship. Strahan wasn't always a primadonna, but he is now. The loudest voices on offense seem to be of the Shockey/Burress variety. Even the guys you'd hope would be a help to them (Pierce, et al) have been corrupted by a system that lets loudmouths get away with murder, so they don't have the cachet to fix things. |

He has like a 63% completion and around a 97% ranking with 5td and 2ints. Now I do agree that he just does not seem like a take charge kind of guy like his brother. With the deal with the Chargers if he told them he did not want to play for them then why did they even draft him to start with. I can understand a player not wanting to play for a team and I would hope if that happened here we would pass over a guy who feels that way. |

What a loser. Your team sucks and you spend all day whining to Redskin fans? Get a life.

Re: Disgusted
Here's a good question.....How much better would the Giants be if they still had Tiki?
I think the problems lies mainly on the defense. Their secondary is atrocious and they haven't done shit to fix it. Outside of Pierce, Umeniyora, and Strahan, they have no one on that defense. This is definitely Coughlins last year. I think he will last the entire season, but look for the Giants to be making some wholesale changes next year. |
