Jacked Up, DC Style
Lot of huge hits tonight. Anybody got any pics?
* Sellers laying the lumber on that first down rumble * Yoder dropping Dawkins on another first down catch * "Lightning Rod" Landry defusing "White Lightning" Kevin Curtis * A variety of ST21 neck-breakers (one pic in the ST thread) * Santana with the nice block clearing the way for Jason on that 20yd scramble |
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
Portis jacked that guy after the INT.
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
all i have to say is sellers owns dawkins... i dont know how but someone needs to get than bulldozer of a hit as an avatar
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
yeah i think its a toss up between ST on the completion in the first half, and portis on the pick... that was a hell of a hit...
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
portis just continues to lay the wood.....early in the game when cooley dropped that corner route, did you see portis stone jevon kearse... i did and he is the best blocker at rb in the nfl
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
I'm starting to think that Portis is a safety at heart--he looks to hit people out there!
Great block by Santana--that was a sweet play and almost a TD. Sellers is a monster. Taylor is a monster. Good to have some hitters! And Laron to win it--sweet. |
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
yeah, JW. I'm starting to wonder if Portis doesn't enjoy INT's! ;)
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
How about that lick Randle-El laid on Jason Campbell during his scramble?
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
I think the Portis and the ST hit are the best two. I just get worried everytime Portis lays into someone with that right shoulder, isn't that the one he seperated last season?
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
Sellers trucking over Dawkins was nice, but Landry with the nice hard tackle to win the game was the best hit of the night.
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
Great hits throughout the game. ST had two memeroble one's, Portis did as well. Laron's hit at the end was the sweetest. I can't wait for the highlight video!

I'm pretty sure Portis played DB in HS. Also, he was recruited as a defensive player by Florida. |

Portis did go both ways at Gainesville High, where I used to teach. And Steve Spurrier wanted to make him a safety, so he went to the U where he could be an HB instead of UF. Oh, the Ol' Ball Coach  |
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
This was a great game in all three phases. ST, LL, RM all had some big time hits. I don't know about anyone else, but I certainly see some confidence building ever so slowly.
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
Maybe a 3 way tie b/n Portis, ST, and LL.
Hey, i'm too lazy but can anyone find the Sellers run over Dawkins last year. That just doesn't get old. |
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
Please post some links, it never gets old watching ST and the gang lay the wood on those bums... Shades of Freddie mitchell hearing ST's footsteps

Until Landry's hit, that was my choice for the best hit of the game. :) |

Lol....Hellz Yea! Portis coulda played Safety if he wanted too. He consistently lays the wood. Remember thats how he separated his shoulder in the preseason last year. He goes from Keiwan Ratliff to William James with the "hit stick!" lol |
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
Portis is a hard hitter last year when he injured himself & this year he laid the pipe already!!!

Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
my favorite hit was when yoder lowered down on dawkins. just to see that guy injured made my night
|
Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
Oh I remembered one more, what about that sack on mcnabb by like three or four guys. Dude just got steam-rolled, how he hung on to the ball, I don't know.

Re: Jacked Up, DC Style
This Sellers quote has Warpath Sig written all over it.
"We have this little agreement, I guess," Sellers said of Dawkins. "He lets me run him over once a year." Sellers Lobbies For a Chance In the Backfield - washingtonpost.com |
