Moose upset by Tank
It's great fun to throw stones at the Cowboys, but it's even more fun when former players such as Daryl Johnston do the chunking.

Johnston, on his Sirius NFL Radio show, described the team's acquisition of Tank Johnson as an "unacceptable" decision by owner Jerry Jones.

"I think Jerry Jones has made a huge mistake, because this is not about giving a guy a second chance," Johnston said. "This is just about doing anything you can to win a championship, which is fine when you do it with integrity and ethics. And this decision lacks integrity, and it lacks ethics."

Daryl "Moose" Johnston is the former Cowboys fullback and announcer for Fox Being that he has credibility, I think you should care. Tank is definitely not a good person and I totally agree with Moose. But in all honesty I am a bit biased when it comes to the cowgirls. I really hope this blows up in Jerry Jones face when Tank is trying to continue living the "Thug Life".

How can we be Redskin fans and not know who Daryl Johnston is? Come on guys.

He's way too opinionated for my tastes. When he's calling the games for Fox, all he does is RIP on people. He criticizes a player for mistakes so badly that it makes it totally not fun to watch him. He comes across as a whiny bitch.

Why? Jerry Jones is the owner, it's his team and he can do what ever the hell he wants to do with it. As soon as Moose Johnston pays a gallion dollars for an NFL team then he can makes those decisions. Until then shut up. I'm mad we didn't get him. If he screws up once then he is out. I'm sure your feelings will go out the door once he sacks the QB.

I don't have a probelm with signing troubled guys as long as you have solid vets in the locker room.

Still, the fundamental question is why should I care what he has to say? I mean, I doubt very much anyone outside Redskins fans care what Brian Mitchell or any other former Redskin commentators have to say.

I find it rather odd that Johnston would come down this hard on Jerry Jones for the signing of Tank Johnson, yet had nothing to say about the signing last year of Terrell Owens. Talking about integrity.....Come on man give me a break.....Integrity!!

WHAT? How old are you? The guy played until 99...really 98...but still, that was only 9 years ago!
He was a very prominant Cowboys FB back when they were winning championships. His is now a great announcer.
I hated him as a player, but he's the only one out of the cowboys group I can stand to listen to. (Irvin, Smith, and Aikman are annoying)

No, he did have a comment...I've been trying to find it on the internet but I can't. I remember hearing him talking about his bad attitude...calling him a "bad apple" if I recall. But I don't think he publicly called out Jones.
A lot of people made comments about Owens, so it likely got drowned out.

The signing of Tank is typical of the cowboys, they love all the troublemakers, druggies, and thugs. If he slips up in any way the media will be all over the cowboys. They'll have tons of unwanted media coverage even when he comes back from his suspension. Which is better for us.

Troy is annoying? I think he is probably the best announcer in the game right now in terms of being unbias and insightful. I hate him as a Cowboy but in the booth he has to be one of the best.

Sorry D, I have to call you out on that one. Moose really didn't do a whole lot against us per say. But he did help open up nice holes for emitt back in the day. He was a nice player for y'all though, I will give you that. He would have ben a nice fit in Gibb's system. I thought that he had too much class to be playing in dallas. But, I do respect his opinion on football matters, he seems to be a straight-shooter.

I disagree...I have actually had this conversation on here before. He does talk about the cowboys too much and he is bias to QB's. I find his voice too monotonous.
Moose is twice as good.

I agree with you. Troy Aikman and Joe Buck are as good as it gets IMO for calling pro games. Troy can do spot film breakdown VERY well, and Buck has a silky smooth play by play voice. And I can't believe how many people on this site don't know who Moose Johnston is. He's only THE reason Emmitt has the NFL record... And "DBOYZ," you need to calm yourself, because you haven't won a single stinkin' playoff game since said Troy Aikman was your starting QB back in '96. Oh, by the way, who ended Troy's career? Oh yeah, it was LaVar Arrington. I love how "America's Team" hasn't won a playoff game in 11 years. Shhhhh. You're gonna get shamed tomorrow night.
